I yawn loudly in the gloomy hours of dawn, how I managed to get up so early I have no clue, perhaps I still hadn't gotten used to the hard beds of wood and hide. Or perhaps it's yesterday that bothers me, wild had shared the horrendous news of Marshall and his actions, "the guy is a madman" I think to myself, yet Marshall isn't the man I fear the most, that man is Clint "he's starting off better than Zachary ill grant him that, he's been more patient. Is he really the good leader people perceive him to be? Sure he's helped and done well, but already he's appointing who's in charge, putting his own most trusted men in the highest of places. Already he has used the murder case to make himself look capable and ceased authority. Could he be behind the killings? Could this be some scheme to set him in power? If so he's good, he's really good, or is it what it appears to be, a coincidence?" And so my mind trails off with crazy theories, all I know is I don't trust most people around camp "Zachary went crazy, Drake had the wild feeling and the elk incident. Neither of them are human, I can feel it sometimes. I don't trust Dave and Red, their trading company, shady business, nor nick he's too well involved with them, andnow they're murder suspects, refusing to co-operate........and Walter seems to be disappearing now, what's happening to him? Can I still trust him?" once again my mind ponders on, "Paul, Paul is trustable.....and maybe James, ill have to see about James". For now I'm just keeping a low profile, who would ever suspect me of having ambitions? I'm not too clever nor too rough to gather attention, to most people I'm just a regular person. Hopefully I shall achieve more influence as a leader within the camp. I do not like the way things work, not organised enough, not all potentials are met, no system, no laws, no organisation. The camp has only just seen trade, there's much left to do. I exit my tent, and am immediately greeted by the cool and moist ocean breeze, I instantly start shivering, I always feel cold when I'm tired one of my strange habits. The sun is barely up, and the sky has the violet colour it gets during sunrise. Other than the distant sound of low chatter from the main camp, it's quiet. The area around me is wet and muddy, clearly indicating that it had rained. I glance around my own camp, but only Paul seems to be up. "Morning" I say, while rubbing my eyes, "morning" he replies mumbles, you can easily tell he's sleep deprived, without a doubt from last nights events. "What time is it?" I ask, "does it really matter?" You could tell he was grumpy, which is very unusual for Paul, he is the nice guy around camp. I say, my voice more serious this time "the rain has become more regular and I feel colder than when we first came, you see what I'm getting at?" as expected Wild immediately catches "it's about 6 o'clock....the sun used to be up around this time". Neither of us spoke for a while, we'd clearly both reached the same conclusion, summer was coming to an end, up until now has been child's play compared to what it will be like later, "brace yourself, winter is coming" I say attempting to mimic the voice of ned stark, he gives a slight grin, unfortunately it fades quickly. After a few minutes of silence, I speak up "we gotta get off this island soon man, or few of us may make it out alive", he simply nods with a dreadful look on his face. He knew as well as I, that escape was futile. Some had tried, none had returned. No plane or ships have been within sight over the last two months. I was never one for superstition, but it seemed we'd been cursed on what seems like the closest thing to Jurassic park, well more like Pleistocene park. It was as if some power wanted us to stay, "are you the one behind this Mahina? Or are there other powers at work?" I think to myself. Reverting the conversation to more pressing matters. "Who's the prime suspects of the case?" I ask curiously, somehow Paul had avoided or failed to mention it last night. He takes a moment to answer, but the reply comes as no surprise "Drake, Zachary and the D&R inc.". Once again the silence takes over. "Gimme your notes" I say, he hesitates fora moment, then finds his notebook, and reaches it out. As I grab a hold, he says "this is confidential material I'm showing you", I give a smirk "yes it is", I then jank it from his hand. I thoroughly read through the detailed notes, and sketches of the injuries on the body, "this is your chance to prove your worth Soren. Show them you possess a brain" I think desperately as I read through. "Wow this is solid work! What you've noted down its so detailed and the diagrams of where the injuries were and how they looked all well labelled. Did you do this by yourself?" I am stunned by Paul's talent when it comes to describing the observations, anyone, knowledgeable or not on the matter could understand it. He smiles, obviously taking pride in my comment. I keep reading and find myself agreeing on all points made, something strikes me at the end, though. "No that can't be right" I exclaim loud enough for wild to hear, "this seems fairly illogical" I point towards the section about leaving the corpses as a warning, "the corpses weren't put close to camp, nor made obvious in any ways, not to mention only one body is damaged beyond the point of which the person died, to me this points towards the conclusion that this is not meant as a warning", Paul disagrees "if they weren't meant to be a warning, they would obviously have been hidden away one way or another, there was no need for further damage to the corpses, the ruthlessness of the attack is enough as it is". So the debate began, and lasted for a while. "I'll bet an animal hide on that if we get to the bottom of this, it wasn't a warning." I say with confidence, Paul considers for a bit. "Done" he replies. Now both curious and determined to get to the bottom of this we split up to see what information we can dig up. "I'll get out and talk to Nick, Dave and the others, they've seen you in company of Marshall it's best if you stay and find out what the rest of camp knows, or if Zachary or Drake should show up.", he nods and we go our separate ways. Iris was supposed to be rescued by Drake the previous night, that's why he said she would be at our camp, Me and Dave are out doing our business and that's why we won't be there. You punks botched the timeline by sleeping the night away. |

I think you and wild may have some conflicting ideas on the future of Iris. |

It was Drakes plan to rescue her and its His Character, so I assumed we were going with his plan. |

Yeah, but if I'm not mistaken, and I may very well be, I think wild has plans as for what Marshall does with iris, and something more sinister, than black ice to the rescue. I don't know again could be wrong. |

Wild wants to establish his villain so I'm not surprised, BI probably won be happy about it though. |
