So I'm here to talk about mood-makers; music, food, wallpaper, or whatever. What kind of items do you normally use to set a certain kind of mood? How do you feel that setting this mood/using this mood-maker has helped? What I like to do is I have this little piece on repeat whenever I write for a pastime or for business: https://youtu.be/uW6-DoWQvv8 It's air of grandeur I get from the trumpets give me good feels and repetitive noise has always helped me concentrate on things. I love playing music when i'm working in the kitchen. if it's like, a morning sunshiney type of day, I love playing light soothing piano-type music like this. If i'm cooking with my bf, I prefer to play like dancey or swingy music. btw if anyone can suggest similar music, that would be awesome

When i'm down something like this really takes me to like, for a lack of a better word a baseline. not good, not bad, just an audience. Or at least until the song ends.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfM46XR8wGQ |

If you're gonna hang a gun on the wall, you'd better use it.

It's mostly music for me. If I wanna get AMPED or focused or motivated or some shit, it's some cold caffeinated drink and loud, punchy music: Declaring War On Nostalgia - The Saddest Landscape First Reactions After Falling Through The Ice - La Dispute Symmetry - Title Fight I Break Mirrors Wiht My Face in the United States - Death Grips etc. etc. If I wanna take it easy I'll sit and listen to stuff like: luv (sic) pt 3 [ft.shing02] - Nujabes Parade - The Antlers You Ain't Gotta Lie (Momma Said) - Kendrick Lamar Atashi Datte Onaji Koto Omotteru yo - ROUND TABLE feat. Nino etc. etc. etc. If I'm down I wanna just wallow in that shit so I stick something sad on: Atrophy - The Antlers Lanterns - The Microphones Hospital - Lydia No Better Shoulder - KT Tunstall etc. etr. etrs. ters. tears. If I ever think I've been poisoned and need to empty to contents of my stomach, usually Echosmith or Dance Gavin Dance will do the trick. |

I have a playlist of songs I really like. It's only a handful, like 6 or 7 songs. I can get so much done when I listen to them and it really relaxes me. |
