Mother Series; AKA Earthbound

The mother series first came out in japan in 1989, and the first game in the series was released for the NES. However this game didn't get a western release, but in 1995 we got Earthbound instead. (Mother is dubbed as "Earthbound 0" in the fanbase.) This was the sequel to Mother, and sadly seeing how Japanese RPGs weren't that popular until FF7 came along in 1997 this game sold poorly here in the US and we never got any other games in the series. There was development going on and we were going to get a Sequel for the N64 but the idea was scrapped, here at least. The creators finally made the game only in Japan, and it was released on the Gameboy Advance in 2006. Earthbound is pretty popular from what I can tell nowdays, but the game is a whopping $200 plus game! When it was released it was around $80, which was probably another reason why it wasn't so big here. (That's even expensive for video games in today's standards!) Giygas is one disturbing yet interesting villain, and where the enemy originated from is even more chilling than himself. Also the main reason why the game is so expensive is the fact that it's quite large (24 megs) due to how much music was programmed into the game. Well what do you think of this series?
