Jotunheim is a city with a military focus, and is under perpetual martial law in order to eliminate any chance of an uprising or rebellion which might threaten the cities military assets. A mandatory 9PM curfew is in place, and anyone caught outside after this time will be carted off to the nearest jail and imprisoned therein. The vast majority of the cities population has some kind of association with the military, whether it be direct involvement like a soldier or air force pilot, or a cleaner in a military base.

The city is immense, and is surrounded by a gigantic wall, covered with barbed wire and guarded by manned machine gun posts. Any bandit who so much as approaches the walls of the city will be torn apart by machine gun fire, and any who make it to the city gates will be captured immediately. Surprisingly, the city has a fairly strong economy, with many traders choosing to set up shop in the city, because the crime rate is extremely low.

In addition to the military protection, the Jotunheim is encircled by a huge mountain range. The peaks shoot many kilometers upwards, with the tallest being nearly 10KM high. Many roads weave between the mountains, and as a result it is fairly easy to travel through this area without trouble. However, the heavy snowfall often block the roads, and like almost everywhere else the area is plagued with crime, as the bandits have an easy time hiding from the law in the vast coniferous forest.

Upon starting in the city, you will be sent on your way by the city council, who are sending you (among others) on the aforementioned mission to the Weather Danger Zone at the Center Point. If you succeed in this mission, you will be rewarded with a manor home within the city limits and as much wealth and happiness as the city can provide. You will be given no equipment other than basic clothing of your choosing, but you will be given a gift of 50 Denari for the express purpose of purchasing equipment. Best of luck to any and all adventurers.
