Lovers Fall is a small town situated between two rocky mountains. Rather than being built at the base of each mountain though, the inhabitants were able to construct houses and walkways along the mountains face. Despite how it seems, the buildings are very sturdy and regular inspections occur to make sure that nothing falls down along towards the ground. A tunnel system had been created within each of the mountains to help those trying to traverse the lands to have an easier way to get through the mountains, rather than having to walk around them. These two mountains had once, many decades ago, been one, singular mountain. The names origins come from the towns founder, a man by the name of John-Hass Lovers. He created the town at the very top of the mountain, a small town to help give resources to those who traveled through the top. Why would people wish to go up to the very top of the mountain? Well the reason for that is simple. It is the only place in the world where the flying pig can be found. Small bodied pigs with large bird like wings that flapped around, eating anything that came about it. Vicious creatures, and yet they were oddly elegant and adorable. Lovers thought of these animals to be a sight to see and wished to constantly gaze about them. One day though, the mountain itself had cracked open, the pigs fleeing to either side, and some had even fallen. From here, the town itself had broken into two and slid down to about halfway through the mountain. They then began to build up more of the town, connecting themselves via drawbridges before becoming the place it is today. By the mountain floor lays the vicious flying pig, larger darker creatures that violently attack anything that get too close, its wings resembling a bats more than anything, very few of them know how to fly anymore, those that do tend to be the head of their packs. They're symbols of a warrior and strength. The ones that remained up on the mountains have grown even smaller and their wings even fuller. Both are victims to poaching and the town is constantly hiring adventures and men form Murphy's army to help protect the beautiful creatures. Lovers descendants still rule over the village. |
