Mount Arreat Within the borders of the Land of Earth a famous few places reside. One of them being the renown Hidden Village of Iwagakure, home of Tsuchikage and his feared Shinobi, rather proficient in the molding of earth and stone into attack, as the name of their lands would suggest. While the Shinobi Village is situated in the busy South-East of the country, the area gets rougher and more rocky the further one would move into northern direction. Untill one reach the mountain ranges that aspire to pierce the sky, as it would seem. Massive, tall, towering with slopes and mountain peaks reaching into the air, higher and higher, some of them even piercing through the thick cover of cloads high in the sky. The World's Edge mountain formation, covering the vast borders of far north. Even in that towering sea of grey, there is one peak that rules above them all. The highest peak in all the mass of mountains. Black Stone making for it's surface, the tip of his rising frame white and icey. A king surrounded by his guards, easily reaching past eight-thousand metres - Mount Arreat. It is believed that only a few have ever tried to reach the tip and climb atop, no-one has ever returned to tell a story about their glory though, giving the King of Mountains a cursed name and feared appearance. Monk's Monastery Somewhere to the rocky flanks of Mount Arreat, a monastery stands. A simple, buddistic looking building that would harbour monks for mediation, the smell of joss sticks in the air, allowing one's head to rest and a weary spirit to recover. What seems like a moderate sized building form the outside, harbours within a grand total of a few monks only, actually...the black clad, wandering monks actually being trained in the arts of Shinobi and Taijutsu, ever so closely watched by the Tenzo of the Monastery. However, as often as the students - young monks - would find themselves in a crossfire of attacks, forging them into good fighters, they would be engaged by their superiors in open discussion about free minded topics, strengthening both mind and body, creating a pavement for a street that those young men would wander...neither forcing them into a direction of move though, merely teaching them to turn around on the spot for a time at last before picking a direction, a mind and body balance...a weighted state. Not leaning to any side. Akimoto Family For many generation's now the Akimoto familay owned the lands around the dark heights of Mount Arreat, tasked since long with the protection of the surrounding Northern borders and the monastery hailing high on the white slopes of the towering rock-massive, keeping the monks to their own business while the familly and the small village below the mountain kept to curious people away or purchased what little good the monks couldn't produce for themselves. The clan head of the Akimoto family, would also watch over the village and it lay under it's protection...till the day the late Feudal Lord...a greey, dark man...tried to lay his hands on the family's possession. Not being much, but mining rights and the exclusive connection to the monks in the mountain's proved to be enough for the Land of Earth's leader to send his Shinobi, after the clan leader refused to back down from his position, seeing his own right in keeping and defending his grounds, his life was taken...along with the life of his family, the life of the villagers and the life of the village itself. A bloody night of murder, stabbing knifes and crimson red liquid sprawling and seeping over the streets...the Akimito fought well, but eventually outnumbered and attacked in their sleep, they went down, one warrior after another. Eventually the clanhead was surrounded by his own men, dead and stabbed. Their throats lodged by kunai and shuriken, his own skin battered and bruised since long. A tall, proud man whose sword held body onslaught under the attackers, coming down like a raging scythe into ripe grass, cutting and slicing through skin, his right holding tightly around a Katana, his left holding a Wakizashi, wielding the weapon of his father's father and so on, for as long as everyone could remember the Daishou pair the man was so profoundly wielding was in the possession of the Akimito family, traditionally given to the first heir of the clan head, bearing it through generations so the pair of swords...some say, harbouring the Mountain's spirit itself...should forever be used to protect the mountain itself, wield by the people who lived there and called the sloppy heights the home, the Arreat Daishou...his son, not even a few months of age and yet the young boy was already forced to be close to such bloodshet... The fight raged on for a while more, the fire closing around the main quarters...the boy's father surrounded by raging flames and blood thirsty, black clad shinobi. He would die here. He knew it, his body stabbed in many places, only the rage and hatred for these man kept him on his feet, the sake of his son in his hands, summoning one of the proud animals his family held bonds with for so long, he asked the armour clad bear to save his son, taking the Daishou with him...so his line would live...so his son would live. The bear saw the purity and love in the man's request who so willingly gave his own life and fullfilled it, he took the young infant to the sloppy heights of the monastery ontop of the mountain, keeping him close in a warm blanket, the sword pair resting on his back in another layer of clothes. Akimoto had been destroyed...the Village had been destroyed...but the Mountain, could not be. It denied the pursuer's entrance to it's sloppy heights, fending them off with rocky stones and cold ice, keeping them at the ground. The ruins of the old, burned down village still to the East side of the mountain, like a warning testament, a place where many hero's lost their life in a meaningless battle for wealth and controll and power. Arreat Daishou A Daishou of simple design, a set consisting of a Katana long sword and a Wakizashi Kodachi, drapped in black and red, the Akimoto's colours. A black bear claw on red ground resting on the the weapon's side, carved into it at the ancient break of time. The origins of the blade is unknown, but some say it's related to the bear's polulating the sloppy heights, some say the sword have been carved out of the Mountain's essence itself...each of the swords bearing unique abilities, only to those, who gained the trust of the Mountain and have been taught the weapon's abilities. Daishou Pair Weapon name: Shirosunô no Kuroishi - White Snow covering Dark Stone (Trivia: Ku no Yama - Mountain Cutter Longsword) Weapon genre: Sharp Weapon type: Katana Material: Wood, Steel...however, believed to sustain from the mountain's core itself, yet appears like a mastercrafted Katana, a fine work that a blacksmith puts a lifetime of dedication in forging it. Size: 2'6". How is it carried around: Usually, well concealed in a summoning seal resting on the back of Lem's palm, following the usual weapon summoning, once called upon, it's worn together with the wakizashi in the sash of Lem's belt. Appearance: The top one, obviously. Amount: 1 Abilities: - Hade (Flash), very low cost. Utilizing a flash of chakra, the sword appears in the users hands, whereas they can decide to draw it sheated, unsheated, backhanded and forward pointing, it's a fast movement summong and quite usefull battle. Can be used to make the weapon fly towards the user, also. - The Mountain Cutter is naturally favouring the element of earth and can be used as medium to apply a vary of techniques related to that stony element, the sword itself granting a great controll over the smoothering element, it's origin and conncetion to the mountain granted. a.) Shinsei (Recreation) - By connecting to the ground in any way and focussing on the blade, projecting the strength of Arreat itself in the blade, the user can draw up earth and stone, to seemingly reform the blade if it sustained damage or broke. Low to moderate cost, depending on the level of damage. b.) Burizado (Blizzard) - By pointing the blade at opposition, the blade disolves into hundreds of tiny shards that storm forward to cut with the force of a barrage of Shuriken into the opponent, the frame of the missiles can range from senbon needle like projectiles, up to fist sized rocks or little sharp rock splinters. While focusissing on his opponent, the frame can be altered and the rock particles can be ordered to follows the oppnent, taking a huge toll on the user's concentration, though. Moderate chakra cost, low drain if they're used to chase after a target. c.) Sakujô (Tendril-s) - The katana firmly held in either of his hands, the user can channel their Doton in the weapon, creating a one to three tendrils of mud that shoot out to capture an opponents limbs or waist, wrapping tighlty around them and then eventually hardening out. Can be used to impale, as well. Low cost, Low drain. d.) Shikumu (Forge) - Utilizing their chakra within the blade, using form alteration to make the blade shoot forward, prolonging itself but still keeping the same level of density and hardness, shooting fast and like a pitch of lighting like steel to impale an opponent, within that techique, the blade can extend in smaller tendrils to point at the sides, reaching further to the side, however, not as strong and sharp as the original impaling shot, reaching about a distance of ten metres. Low activation, Low extra payemnt for extending sidearms. e.) Môkeru (Create) - Piercing a certain spot and place, the user can utilze a gush of mud to head from the blade to 'swallow' the stabbed body part, encasing it and wrapping it in tight skin of stone, pulling opponents down, making it harder for them to move or just restricting their movement. Low cost. Low add up of the first wave is hardenend. - Seemingly forged from the mountain's heart itself, the blade can quickly use it's given Doton abilities to alter objects that is pierced. a.) Touching the ground, it can either harden it to massive stone plates or muddy, sandy terrain, just like the user may chose it and applies chakra, the more terrain they wants to modify, the more chakra has to be utilized. b.) Piercing liquid based beings, like humans, the sword can slowly dry them out as well. Whereas that would perhaps result in turning that wounded place into stone and mud, that translates to muscles hardening and drying out, the liquid in the cells dried out by the smoothering, sucking up, Doton. Should it pierce a part of the human body, it will cause the muscles to harden over time, not dramatically but the longer it's kept in the wound, the longer it'll render the target's mobility useless, making the stabbed place grow hard, like hard muscles that are pulling it together, actually cramping the flesh so hard and forcing that body reaction that is both painful and slows down. - The weapon increases the user's strength greatly, enabling them to pierce through a wall with a mere jab of their fist, sending brutal onslaught in their charging enemies, bearing the the furious impact hit of a rockfall coming down - increasing the User's Strength by 1.5. Weapon name: Tomoshitake suro-no Joubutsu - Limited size aspiring to grace the Heavens Height Weapon genre: Sharp. Weapon type: Wakizashi Material: As the Katana. Size: 1'7" How is it carried around: As the Katana. Appearance: Well, pic's up there. Amount: 1 Abilities: More to come. |

Hade (Flash), very low cost. Utilizing a flash of chakra, the sword appears in the user’s hands, whereas they can decide to draw it sheathed, unsheathed, backhanded and forward pointing, it's a fast movement summoning and quite useful battle. Can be used to make the weapon fly towards the user, also. Fine. - The Mountain Cutter is naturally favouring the element of earth and can be used as medium to apply a vary of techniques related to that stony element, the sword itself granting a great control over the smothering element, it's origin and connection to the mountain granted. a.) Shinsei (Recreation) - By connecting to the ground in any way and focussing on the blade, projecting the strength of Arreat itself in the blade, the user can draw up earth and stone, to seemingly reform the blade if it sustained damage or broke. Low to moderate cost, depending on the level of damage. Fine. b.) While focussing on his opponent, the frame can be altered and the rock particles can be ordered to follows the opponent, taking a huge toll on the user's concentration, though. Low activation, Low extra payment for extending side arms. Limit on the size? Wouldn’t it get very heavy as well? Also, seems a lot like Gin’s shikai… e.) Môkeru (Create) - Piercing a certain spot and place, the user can utilize a gush of mud to head from the blade to 'swallow' the stabbed body part, encasing it and wrapping it in tight skin of stone, pulling opponents down, making it harder for them to move or just restricting their movement. Anyway to remove the mud/stone? - Seemingly forged from the mountain's heart itself, the blade can quickly use it's given Doton abilities to alter objects that is pierced. a.) Touching the ground, it can either harden it to massive stone plates or muddy, sandy terrain, just like the user may chose it and applies chakra, the more terrain they wants to modify, the more chakra has to be utilized. Give me an example of the cost. b.) Piercing liquid based beings, like humans, the sword can slowly dry them out as well. Is there anyway to stop them if they chase a target? - A good blast of wide spread, Futon, Suiton, Katon a wall, really fast Kenjutsu swipes...there's alot of ways to deflects them. Size and speed of the tendrils? Can they turn back to mud ? - About a rope in diameter, length can stretch to really anything as long as enough chakra is applied and the user concentratetes. Fast speed, like a kunai I would say. d.) Shikumu (Forge) - Utilizing their chakra within the blade, using form alteration to make the blade shoot forward, prolonging itself but still keeping the same level of density and hardness, shooting fast and like a pitch of lighting like steel to impale an opponent, within that technique, the blade can extend in smaller tendrils to point at the sides, reaching further to the side, however, not as strong and sharp as the original impaling shot, reaching about a distance of ten metres. Low activation, Low extra payment for extending side arms. Limit on the size? Wouldn’t it get very heavy as well? Also, seems a lot like Gin’s shikai… Aye, it's quite familar. Size limit is ten metre's forward and every sideward extension is cut in half, five, two and a half...and so on and yes, it gets heavier, the blade cannot be swung really in that state, it relies on the Shikumu's speed to pierce. Anyway to remove the mud/stone? - Shower ? The mud wont come off form movement alone but water or any released from of chakra that would disrupt it's flow I guess...stone, well...hit it hard enough. Give me an example of the cost. - Moderate for terrain, low for smaller body parts, high for draining out stuff like water or with high liquidity. >_> I’ll need to talk to a stat approver. - : D |

*sees "stat approver"* *uses standard response No.242* No need for numbers anymore; just put an adjective like "minor/moderate/major" etc. boosts to strength or other stats, whichever is most appropriate. |

A slight upgrade in itself for bearing the strenght of the mountain, for a released strong punch with high bonus, moderate cost. |

Iwould like to add following updates. Shirosunô - Earthen Soul: Holding onto the Mountain Cutter Lem gets aware of earth itself. Meaning...he'll be able to tell how many people are standing on the earth is a fifty yard radius. Not actually seeing but he can 'feel' weight and their chakra, the speed they're moving at. The range of that can be extended to up a mile...will take a huge drain of concentrating then and Lem wouldn't be able to trace a whole circle but only a certain direction. This works also if the traced targets bears chakra infused earth on them - as in a muddy remant of a Doton Technique - the heigher the target moves from the ground though, it gets untracable for the 'earthen eyes'. Reaches up to fifty metre's at maximum. - Earth's Life: Lem can draw upon Earth's chakra flow while wielding the Shirosunô. While that is similar to Senjutsu, it doesn't really boost his chakra nor does it give him any kind of transformation abilty. However, earth releated Ninjutsu is easier to cast for the user, drawing upon the chakra in the ground itself - a living force. Also, the user can infuse his frame with the earten chakra to the same effect of a Genjutsu breaking kai. Arreat Daishô The two swords are brothers by all means. While the Katana represents the the mountain's base and structure the Wakizashi pictures the sloppy heights and mountain peak. Both are of the same kin, however. - Reverse Summoning: This works like the actual technique...holding on the two weapon's Lem can activate it himself, though. He can teleport to two fixpoints at a high cost of chakra - Land of Earth, Mount Arreat Monastery or the Daishou holder itself. The ancient blackwood holding a mystical seal and connection to the two swords. The holder is currently placed in Konoha. - Duality of Brethren: A simple yet powerful ability. Holding on the Wakizashi, Lem can utilze it's abilities through the Katana. Holding on the Katana, Lem can utilize it's abilites through the Wakizashi. The swords can be sheated for that. As in...If Lem would hold the Wakizashi and the sheated Katana...he could still utilze the Katana's abilites through the Wakizashi. |

Shirosuno - First you said up to a mile, then fifty meters max. What's the range limit exactly? If they're the same, humor me. >_> Earthern Life - Define "easier." Lowers the chakra cost, makes it so you don't need seals, what? Duality - I assume all abiliites have the same chakra cost? And you know the costs will be doubled up if you use the same ability on both swords at once? Reverse Summoning - Not sure I can approve that, too much like Hiraishin. Naruto was actually summoned by a toad, a sword cannot summon the wielder. |

1.) Earthen Soul: - Combat Situation: 20 yards stretch in a circular form over the ground, 10 yards height into the sky. Picture a dome. - Tracking Situation: A mile stretch in one direction, a height of fifty yard can be reached, in case they're moving over high tree's or whatever. 2.) They lower the chakra cost by one category. Seal speed stays at where it is. Same with the number of seals. 3.) Chakra cost as mentioned in the original ability, while the duality in a one to one transcription doesn't cost anything. It is not possible to utlize it in a way you suggested. One could not use the Katana with Katana moves while making them flow in the Wakizashi as well. 4.) Lets see. - Drains of all his remaining chakra. - It is obviously not a battle related move. - Setting up the Summoning Circle around the Daishô holder itself, takes a whole day and a sealing circle. Can only be executed in utter calmth. - The summoning is not sword to wielder. But swords to Daishô pair or the birthplace of their spiritual origin, Mount Arreat. The user merely holds on them - also he could transport other person's while they hold onto him. Also, they would be drained of all their chakra. |

*just noticed the date* Two weapons per month amigo. Since you're altering two weapons and you submitted these July 1, and it's July 24, you'll have to wait until Aug. 1 for these abilities to be allowed. 1. I don't see how the combat or non-combat would affect the range unless it's a concentration thing. If that's it, approved. 2. Good. 3. Good. 4. Sorry, still don't like it. That's still teleporting/summoning to a seal/makred area, which is Minato's department. Denied. |

Wasn't aware updating counted as slot. But it's fine either way. I'll just write it down now and use it past the 1th of August. 1. Yes, it's a concentration thing. He has to focus on 'feeling' them moving them on the earth. The further they go away, the harder it gets to actually do that. 2. Aight. 3. Aren't you the sweetest little hunky-poo ? 4. How 'bout: The Daishô holder Lem has would be kept at his normal place is a regular work of blackwood, no real ability there. The original Daishô of the weapon, actual made from stone of Arreat itself resides within the Monastery on the slopes of that high mountain - shadowing over the remants of the Akimoto clan's burned down compound ruins. That is only one spot that cannot be moved, full of spiritual energy - on the end of the world. Farthest you can get in the Land of Earth's territory. About three days away from any living beeing - travelling at Shinobi speed. Also, it would take away the marking and tag thing - Lem couldn't change that even if he wanted. |

1. Approved. 4. No long-distance teleporation, that's absolute. Madara and I are EXTREMELY protective over it, and there has only been one person in the entire RP who has been allowed even short-range teleporation, and that character is RPed by Madara and is very close to Minato. His teleportation even rips him in half piece by piece every time he uses it. So no, teleportation is denied. |

Alright. I'll try something else, then. 4. Earth Phasing: Utilizing his high controll of the Doton element and the fact he can swiftly 'feel' shapes of earth enables Lem to utilize the 'Iwagakure no Jutsu' (Hidden Among Rocks - Doton Movement) to new levels. He can literally run through walls of earth, in the same way one would utilze the jutsu-borne technique. However, much faster and without the need for handsigns. He merely has to hold on the sword. If I added the rest of the Wakizashi's abilities untill the 1th of August that would still be alright |

Gazille has this technique but he fuses with the earth to move through it. The speed of it is slower htan this though. Phasing through the earth is too similar to Tobi and not actually fusing with it. |
