Hello, I have OO 3.0, 300m5, build 9350. Using Vista. I have a 100-page document, which from time to time becomes 'chaotic'. It usually happens when I open the file, but sometimes it just changes in the middle of my working on it. I have no idea what causes it. What I mean by 'chaotic' is that the formatting goes out of control - the table of contents has missing entries and blue lines from the TOC appear across the page margins; the standard page format has turned into my custom TOC page format (2 columns); a lot of text does not appear on the screen, even though it is still there. (For example, if a word is wrongly spelled, the underline still shows, even though the word is not visible.) When this chaotic formatting appears, I shut down the file (sometimes losing recent work) and try to reopen it. Sometimes it reverts to the normal formatting, other times I get the same chaotic stuff. So far, I have not lost the overall work because I never save the file when it is in this chaotic state and up to now I have eventually been able to reopen it in its normal state. But I am worried that I might lose a lot of work on this important document if one day I cannot recover the normal formatting. Can anyone shed some light on what is going on here? Any help will be apprecited. I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. References: https://bit.ly/2DPpmZb Digital Video Advertising Thank you. |
