1 Timothy 6:1-2 King James Version (KJV)
6 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.
2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

1 Timothy 6:1-2 GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

6 All slaves who believe must give complete respect to their own masters. In this way no one will speak evil of God’s name and what we teach. 2 Slaves whose masters also believe should respect their masters even though their masters are also believers. As a result, believers who are slaves should serve their masters even better because those who receive the benefit of their work are believers whom they love.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

1 This also applies today as how we should interact with our bosses at work, or anyone one has authority to tell what to do, God authority always should come first though. We should have respect for our bosses, we should see as working hard for them as working hard for the Lord who put us there, this is not always easy, but we need to represent Him even when it is the hardest, people should see as hard workers because we are Christians, not lazy, our work is for Him, not for our bosses.

2 We may be in the case where our bosses are of the Faith as well, this is much easier because we can have more of a trust but should not take advantage of this but continue to work hard, with Him first always though, if they are the Faith they will not expect us to do anything different than to have Him first. It is easier to work with people who do not seek after the pleasures of the world but seek after God as we do, it is far easier to talk to people who are in the Way you are, you may not agree on everything are truly like minded and one by Him. We need to act better as workers than those of the world.
