Ecclesiastes Chapter Three and verse one tells us “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:’ Then it goes on to state some serious departures from our normal view of our God. As my friend Ricky Sinclair says, a Prime example of how God hardly ever does anything the same way twice”. The following verses reminds us there is a time to die, to uproot, to heal, to tear down, to dance, to gather stones, to refrain, to give up searching, to throw away, to tear, to speak, to hate, and even a time for war among other things. WOW! Our God is an awesome God. I believe the bride of Christ has been silent much longer than we should have. It is time for us to speak up in defense of Christian values. We can be trashed and criticized by every other religion in the world and more and more the moment we point out differences between them and us or even point out what we stand for, the media is full of “how dare you” folks proclaiming they alone know what is true and what is right. If Jesus is even so much as mentioned in many places today you will be asked to leave (government buildings) thrown out of (schools) hollered down (shopping malls) or physically removed (abortions clinics, public squares, most public meetings). America, we are drifting away from what God wants us to be. We have come from a nation that our Holy God had blessed and he alone has seen us through many difficult times. Now the America that God once allowed to be great, has lost its focus and Christian stance. We’ve embraced other Gods. We have married the heathen, and raised a generation of non-believers. We are in danger of God removing his hand of protection from America. I believe it is well past time for America to get down on our knees and beg for mercy and return to our loving God. In Luke 22: 35-38 Jesus reminds us that it comes a time for lots of things in a Christian’s life. He begins “When I sent you without a purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?” They answered, “Nothing”. So then Jesus says “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and also if you do not have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. It is written: and he was numbered with transgressors’, and I tell you this must be fulfilled in me. Yes, what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment” Then his disciples said, “See Lord, here are tow swords” and Jesus replies “That is enough” God often does not do things the same way twice. WAKE UP America before God’s rod of judgment brings up back to Himself in a wrathful way. As always, God bless and we welcome your comments. |
