Ya so I am bored and decided to bless you with some of my intelligence. This guide will mention things listed in other Xin guides (obviously) but will touch base on things not previously mentioned as well as have a different skill/item build (mostly). Yes I know, I am kind for taking time to inform you of my brilliance, however I have no intentions of taking time to upload pictures and make this pretty. Making the word "pretty" pink is the only eye candy you will recieve in this guide. I need not distract you from brilliance with colors and pictures from here on out. Also, I will not proofread. I will post my reasoning for each section at the end, keep your panties on. Xin Contents A) Skill Build B) Item build C) Strategy D) Things you may not have thought of A) Skill build 1) Chains 2) Sleight of Fist (SOF) 3) Chains 4) Flameguard 5) Chains 6) Ulti 7) Chains Cool Flameguard 9) Flameguard 10) Flameguard 11) SOF 12) SOF 13) SOF 14) Ulti 15) stats 16) Ulti 17-25) Stats Here is the logic behind the skill build. Max chains first as it is your best skill and is a disable. Get one level of SOF so that you can use it to get that last hit on heros that are getting away as well as dodge spells with this. As the CD is fairly long at lvl 1 use SOF intelligently. The reason you max flameguard before SOF early is quite simple for various reasons. First, the 600 dmg blocked is godly early game and loses power the later the game progresses. Also, the 700 aoe burning effect is pew pew bbq. SOF in comparison would do an xtra 90 bonus dmg and have a 6 second cd. I do not believe this is better than 600 magic dmg absorbed b/c it does not increase survivability (except for dodging stuns etc.) and you do not move when casting this which Xin is all about chasing early game. Max SOF before your ulti for hopefully obvious reasons which everyone seems to overlook. The ONLY reason to level your ulti is for pathetic extra dmg per lvl. The CD, manacost, # charges etc. all stays the same. However, SOF CD gets reduced all the way to 6 seconds which will scale MUCH more dps. B) Item Build 1) Starting Items 2x Tangos (or 1x and two gg branches) QB chicken 2) Crow ASAP, than rush a bottle. (You will be laning mid). Use crow to bottle/crow and check runes for you so you do not need to leave lane for more xp, and instant runes for pew pew ganking. 3) Boots ? Arcane boots. Xin has serious mana problems, this and bottle fixes it. Side note, from this point in time until the throne has been destroyed you should ALWAYS have atleast one tp on you. 4) Build maelstrom, if you can get mithril first, than gloves of haste, however it is not a big deal either way. (You can make mjollnir if you want before step 5, it is situational) 5) After maelstrom it is situational. I like to get hp/regen type items. Decide what is best for your team. My top three choices in no paticular order as they are situational are: Heart, Linkins, Bloodstone. Get heart if you need serious hp and are not having any mana problems. Bloodstone for xp/regen/hp. Linkins for spell blocking/hp/regen. 6) After step 5 finish mjollnir. 7) DPS items that work with SOF. I like crys/buriza or mass bfuries for the LOL factor. Reasoning ? Xin is phenomenal at lane control and ganking, hence why you go mid. If someone is being retarded and wants mid politely suggest that you ?roll for mid, highest roll gets it. Crowing/bottle is great for a bunch of the same reasons as always. To control runes and pwn ganks, to not need early game regen items (Aquila, perserv, etc.) so you stay in the lane and have that mana you need. Etc etc. Arcane boots because you desperately need the mana by the time you hit lvl 6 (your ulti costs 150 each time you blink to it). Why mael over bfury first you ask? The answer is because you have a brain. Mael has a chance to cast lightning on every unit you attack and costs far less. Also, early game you will not splash much dmg and you will have the necessary regen with crow/bottle and arcane. The rest I have all ready explained. C) Strategy Ok so here is how you pwn bbq. Levels 1-5 Make sure when you cast chains that no more than one creep has a chance of being chained so that you ensure you chain the hero you are after. Do this by moving to the side of the creeps but near the hero, at the end of creep wave breaks etc. Use flamguard prior to trying to get a kill. I would not suggest using this randomly for the 700 aoe burning dmg because when you initiate you do not want this on CD so it can soak up magic dmg/survivability and increase your dps. Use SOF to finish. Lvls 6-25 Yes once you get your ulti your strategy should not change for the rest of the game. Gank and win teamfights. As Xin I always have a tp b/c I am constantly roaming and trying to be in on as many teamfights as possible, not farming. If one of my teammates does not have wards up I WILL. I prefer to keep them on top rune and in their jungle on the mountain below the t2 tower. This is because I play aggressively and will normally be on their side of the map ganking AND because I do not want to get counterganked. If your team is trash and getting owned place defensive wards for safe ganking purposes. There is ONE reason why you should use all three charges of your ulti at the same time. Because you NEED the burst damage to ensure the kill or he will survive (Ie. Clinkz with ww and you do not have dust). Using all three charges crushes your chasing capability and survivability. Write that down. D) Things you may not have thought of/know. SOF (aka omnislash) hits invis units AND units in fog. As previously mentioned, it can be used to dodge stuns. (SB ulti, lina stun, sven stun etc. etc.) The more units you hit with SOF the longer the effect will last giving your hero more of an invulnerable period where you cannot be stunned or dodge other spells (warlock ulti). It can be difficult to dodge a spell if you are only omnislashing one target as the effect lasts about .01 seconds. Ulti ? obviously this hits invis units. You can use your ulti almost like BoT?s or wisps ulti. Cast your ulti, tp home and heal up/shop/thumb your prostate/whatever you need to do. Ulti back. If you are hit by a slow effect (ie. Huskars ulti) your ulti image will be slowed down also. If you are disabled in a spell where you can cast spells still but not move (ie. Cm?s frostbite, sirens net etc.) your image will NOT move when casted. You can also use your ulti to teleport to areas other people cant blink to ie. into forest, ontop mountains etc. and than tp home to survive a gank attempt. Flameguard ? Hits invis units. Well, now I still have 52 minutes to sit at work?. Shit Now go rape face with Xin for me. Edited by UofKentucky, Jul 29 2012, 10:09 PM.
