If there's one thing I hate, it's the RIAA. Those stupid bastards. They are so damn greedy, suing everyone they can. You know, they've sued a dead grandma and a 12 year old girl... I mean, seriously. They are on a quest for money (not justice) and so they sue people that have never even USED a computer for God's sake. It's just all so dumb. Why I am ranting about this, though? I download music constantly. I use Limewire, Bitcomet, Frostwire and such. I can download entire discographies of artists in a matter of days. Bitcomet was obviously the best for any artist, but I used Limewire and Frostwire for individual songs. Soulseek is awesome for underground music. I used to use WinMX before it got shut down. Ares Galaxy was alright, but it had spyware. Like most people, I also used Kazaa Lite but that wasn't very good. My friend recommended Sharaza but I stopped using that because I didn't like it, and BearShare is monitored by the RIAA like crazy. Today I am sitting at my computer, browsing this site and downloading music like usual. My mom tells me to get the mail, and after a lot of resisting, I eventually went to go get the mail. I walk down the block to get it. As usual, there was a little amount of mail, but there was one that caught my eye. It had an 'RIAA' watermark on it and my dad's name on it. I open it up and the watermark appeared again on the letter. It was accusing someone in my household of downloading music. Well, my dad nor my mom are very literate when it comes to computers, so... it was for me and my brother. God damn it, why me? f**k... I didn't know what to do. My legs were freaking jello. So I got home and my mom sees the letter. She's heard of the RIAA and stuff, so she starts freaking out. My mom got scared and said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air!" I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said fresh and had dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I thought naw forget it, yo home to Bel-Air! I pulled up to a house about seven or eight And I yelled to the cabby "Yo, home smell you later" I looked at my kingdom I was finally there, to sit on my throne as the prince of Bel-Air. |
