Has anyone read it? If so, what did you think of the book? Back in seventh grade when I first read it, I saw it as nothing but a bunch of animals running a community. But later, around high school, when I reread the book and saw how it alluded to the Soviet totalitarianism, it was quite awesome, especially after my AP Comparative Politics class covered the Soviet Union/Russia... I just appreciated it more. Orwell is an AMAZING author... 1984 was a great book too. |

Then she probably read it without the knowledge of the Soviet Union and read only the 'surface' of the novel, per se... once you know what it alludes to then it becomes so much more interesting. |

Really? Lol well then that's odd because everyone I've talked to loved Animal Farm. Or maybe I'm just talking to weird people. Lol. |

Yes , I did read it back in 8th grade and that reason in the quote is actually the only reason I liked it, Among other things. |

It was all right. 1984 is way better though. |

Yeah I read in the 6th grade, I thought it was pretty good. I was going to watch a movie about it but I was falsely accused of something and spent most of class in the principal's office  |
