Crouching Tiger, Hidden Rikku!

Since I was a huge fan as a kid, and thought the new movie was awesome, I thought I'd post the latest news for the confirmed Transformers 2.

Transformers 2 Writers Confirmed
Source: The Hollywood Reporter October 4, 2007

Screenwriter Ehren Kruger and the writing team of Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are in talks to team to write the screenplay for DreamWorks/Paramount's Transformers 2, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Director Michael Bay, star Shia LaBeouf and producers Tom DeSanto, Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Don Murphy are back in their respective chairs, as is executive producer Steven Spielberg.

The trade adds that the teaming of A-listers to write such a huge project might be an industry first and could have been necessary because Kurtzman and Orci -- who wrote first movie -- also are busy writing J.J. Abrams' Star Trek movie for Paramount and producing Eagle Eye for DreamWorks.

The three writers are also working together on Nightlife, a DreamWorks serial-killer project that sees Kruger adapting a Thomas Perry novel, with Kurtzman and Orci producing along with Neal Moritz. Kruger also adapted the Stephen King novel "The Talisman," which Spielberg is exec producing for TNT.

Kruger met with Bay and Hasbro president Brian Goldner and impressed the duo with his knowledge of the "Transformers" mythology.

Btw, T2 comes to theatres June 26, 2009 while the DVD for the first film will be on sale Oct 16 2007.

I thought the first one sucked quite a bit.

Hopefully this one'll be better.

I'll just say, if you have any interest regarding a transforming machine, Go See It!

However, if it doesn't interest you at all...Don't,

I'd give it a B over all. But thats just me :P

I wish Michael Bay wouldn't return. Oh well. I hope it won't be a crappy sequel like most movies.

Death is waiting for you....

I noticed, that most sequels dont outshine the original.
But if they work hard enough they might get somewhere :P

...Yeah like Spiderman 3, lol.

I'm pretty sure it'll be at least average. Transformers was fun. The story was incredibly predictable and shallow, but the action scenes, special effects, camera angles, and lighting made up for it. I'm pretty sure Michael Bay will make at least an okay sequel (since he's known as an action movie director anyways).

I actually liked the movie. They could have done better of course, but the fact that I got to see some of my childhood cartoon favs come to life made the little kid in me so happy. :P Even if the storyline sucked.

Deadpool in SSBB?
YES! Shia LaBeouf is an amazing actor. Favorite actor for me in 2007. Anyways, the first was so amazing, saw it 3 times in theatres and bought it day it came out.

Happy Halloween!

I've never saw the first one.

None of my family is interested in Transformers, I don't know, maybe I'll try to rent it if possible.

I think the second one will work out good, since they got the same team together. Also the guy who did the voice of Prime is returning, and he hinted that there will also be a third movie. Hopefully the final script will be completed before the writers strike that is supposed to happen.

As if the writing was the reason the movie was so great, lol.
