Guessing your Dutch Purely based on background and the levels of details in their world. I'd say Tolkien, Eddings and Feist. They created masterpieces but to be honest their works mostly drive on the worlds they created. For the information and the fact that I'm a history freak, Shogun and Gajin by James Clavell, The name of the Rose by Umberto Eco, The book of 5 rings by mushashi and The Art of Warfare by Sun Tzu For the stories itself: George RR Martin, James Clemens, Preston and Child, Robin Hobb and Michael Scott Rohan ps. I'm not sure I could ever narrow it down to one book. XD My current favorite series, though, is the Vampire Hunter D series. A friend of mine got me the artbook for Christmas.
