Crouching Tiger, Hidden Rikku!

Do you prefer a short series, or a long manga series? And why?

It depends on the story. If characters can be developed fully and the story completed, a short series is fine. What annoys me is any series that makes the combat scenes too long and complex. If the combat itself lasts longer than about 3-6 chapters, I find myself not really caring who wins, I just want it over...

...still my guitar gently weeps.
I usually prefer a short series that have <10 tonkobon. Though I'm okay with long series, it better be worth it. Series that just drag on and on is just mean.

Why should it matter? Manga are good reads. Every volume just makes you wanna go to the next, then when you're at the last volume you get sad when it ends. :D

I like long series since It ives me something interesting to read unless the author does a bad job. It really depends who writes the series to me since sadly I choose mine by author, but if the story sounds intresting I'll read it.

Don't really matter to me as long as the story is good.

Short so I can spend time looking into other manga. Also makes collecting it faster.
