" Wow, this place is so....so colourful!" Trinity gazed around in awe as she skipped about the large multi-coloured castle, smiling and waving as she saw children running by happily while playing their games. "Fresh flowers for sale! Get some fresh flowers here!" A stout woman boomed out as she waved colourful peonies, tulips and many more. Wow, even the flowers are pretty! I wonder what to buy... Roses? Gardenias? While gazing about to help get inspiration, she glimsped a tall, dark haired woman, sitting all by her lonesome. Trinity could swear that she can see a sad, gloomy auras surrounding this mysterious woman. She looks sad....ah, why not some flowers to cheer her up? With that, she happily purchased a bundle of lovely Gardenias, with a dash of comsos, jasmine and zinnia. "Why so down, Miss? Here, have a dash of joy, peace, grace and friendship!" Trinity handed the bundle of flowers to her with a small smile. Edited by Trinity, Dec 16 2013, 02:45 PM.

Accursed Temptress of Lust
|
Pulled from her thoughts, Ankoku startled slightly internally, tilting her head to view the girl deceivingly calmly. Her voice was so sweet, like sugar, and seemed to suit the vibe of this place. With a pure, happy aura, she could tell that Trinity was from the White Kingdom. It would be rare to find such kindness and charity in the Black Kingdom. It was what she both liked and disliked about the other kingdom— the fact that what they had was unattainable for a sinner like her. Smiling lightly, the older female took the bouquet, raising them to sniff at the gentle mix of perfumed fragrance. They were like a stolen piece of paradise. Her eyes fluttered shut momentarily, holding the scent in her lungs for a few moment, before breathing out softly. "Why, thank you dear, these are lovely." The side of her lip pulled into a warm expression, the slightest amount of magic charm drifting out from the attractive woman of Lust. She wasn't interested in the charming girl, as much as Trinity had a girlish, feminine prettiness about her, but a charm made people so much easier to deal with. Feinting a polite stifled yawn, Ankoku rubbed at the corner of her gemstone optics, eyes half-lidded. "It's hard to find oneself feeling down in a place like this. I just feel rather tired, a day in the Rainbow Kingdom can drain the energy surprisingly quickly." Edited by Ankoku, Dec 16 2013, 08:13 PM.

Trinity was momentarily disappointed, as she believed what the woman had said. "Ehhhh? Then, Rainbow Castle should be called, Energy-sapping Castle." She said seriously with a hint of a pout on her face. "Ah, where are my manners? Hi, my name is Trinity, a Pawn of the White Kingdom! What's your name? Oh, that tattoo of yours looks cool! May I know that story behind it, if you don't mind." Trinity pit out her hand shyly. Shoot! What will she think about my chipped nail polish? She does seem a very pretty woman... |

Accursed Temptress of Lust
|
A kindly expression softened regal, angular austere features, an eyebrow arching in mirth as she was taken seriously. She wasn't known for her acting skills for nothing— a temptress had to be able to put up a good act. Humoring the comment, Ankoku replied, "Perhaps we should file for a name change. That's a rather fitting title, if I do say so myself." The introduction put her off slightly; usually Lust tried to avoid introductions at all costs when dealing with people outside her sin circle. It created unnecessary fear and biased opinions of the incredibly normal and human woman, save for her trespasses. Well, surely a young one like this wouldn't mind, and she ought to be truthful to such a darling girl like Trinity. "Well, consider me flattered, I haven't heard such a professional introduction in a very long time.~ It's a pleasure to meet you." A chuckle and the motion of tucking some locks of liquid obsidian behind her ear, where they fell back over a seductive red eye in loops seemed to prolong the words that were coming after that, resettling the bunch of gifted flowers daintily in her lap. "My name is Ankoku, Sinner of Lust of the Black Kingdom." In an incredibly humble action, she pulled off her silken glove, revealing a slender, finely-boned hand with sculpted, painted red nails. She payed little to no attention about the chipped polish on Trinity's fingers, a minor detail like that wouldn't change her opinion of the pawn. There was a moment of barely noticeable hesitation before she reached out to warmly shake Trinity's hand with her bare own. Ankoku hoped that the girl wouldn't recoil in shock at the mention of name and title. It didn't seem to be her nature, but at the same time, the Seven Vices held bad reputations with exaggerated terror tales in the White Kingdom. It always seemed the way, that the things hidden in the shadows were portrayed as worse than reality. It was a dissonance in the realms of mental understanding, when a person could tell something was lurking out there in the darkness somewhere, but they couldn't see not touch it. She was rarely asked about the brand on her chest, despite how much significance it held for the pale woman. Her bare alabaster hand reached up to rest lightly on the tattoo and trace the depicted ink. "I don't suppose you've ever heard the tale of creation? There are many versions, and I don't believe this one is told in the White Kingdom. It's a take on Chaos and Cosmos. If you have a little time, I might tell you the story." |

Trinity's emerald eyes sparkled. Uwaah, so you are Ankoku, the Lust Vice! They were right after all, you do look very pretty. Though... it seems so sad, it is as if you were cursed with this job..." She said with an innocent smile and slight blush, then saddened and a soloemn tone, before putting on a slightly frightened look. "Is it true that the Gluttony Vice e-eats people if they are b-bad?" Trinity asked , no doubt her head was filled with stories of the sinner eating children and girls her age if they were ill-behaved. "Oooh, please do tell! I'd love to hear your version!" Trinity sat beside Ankoku and look at her with childish anticipation. |

"They? Rumors about me... How flattering." Her cheeks flushed with color— she'd never heard such an innocent, adoring tone before. Anything remotely adoring, was usually charm manipulation magic induced, and of a different kind. "That's very sweet of you dear. You must only be about sixteen or seventeen, and if I dare say, you're prettier than even I." She complimented, laughing lightly. There were different styles of beauty— unattainable goddess-like beauty, a pretty sort of beauty, a natural beauty, and a more seductive kind of beauty. Each swayed different kinds, depending on what floats your boat. Ankoku genuinely meant her flattery, giving Trinity a coy smile at the mention of Gluttony. He was such a tease, that man. "Oh yes, Avalon will sneak into your room and pull you from your bed if you misbehave!" The raven seemed to find the mention incredibly funny, chuckling afterwards before adding with a solemn expression, "Only if he's hungry. He has plenty to eat in the Black Kingdom, worry not. You can sleep soundly." Looking out at the crowd again, Lust seemed to pause and gather her thoughts, before beginning a story she had rarely told before, but knew like the back of her hand. A story gifted to you by somebody precious who passed wasn't something you easily forgot. On the streets, there was no money for fancy photographs or material tokens of somebody special. Many were illiterate, so written word was out of the question. It was the hushed tales that soothed the children in rags to sleep, the hoarse voice of a man weathered by life telling a precious story. Those were the kinds of things that lived forever, if you bundled them away in your memory carefully enough. "A long long time ago, there was nothing. Not even the Earth existed, nor the expanse of the stars or the galaxy. A dull kind of nothingness, known only as the 'Null'. And then, there was Mim. The first sentient being. Nobody knows how she began, or where she came from. She simply existed." Ankoku reached up, her ruby nail tracing the dragon on the outside of the tattoo design with a feather-light touch. "Mim was creation, and creation was Mim. One and the same, she was grand and all-powerful. Nothing could compare— there was nothing to compare. And so, Mim made the universe. The stars, the planets, light and dark. The colors, lights and sounds, taste, scent. The thin grey line between the horizon sky and land. And yet, Mim was lonely. She created a beautiful flat land, an orb of life, where dragons were created in her image. There were so many, and they lived in perfect harmony. As long as Mim circled the Earth with her tail in her mouth, there would be balance. A pure ring of energy, never-ending." Every now and then, the woman would glance over to see if the girl was listening, hanging onto her every word in the pauses. Wetting her dry lips, she continued, "There was a time, however, when that balance would come to an end. Mim had created emotion and feeling, and where light is, there is bound to be darkness. There cannot be one without the other. Mim was the light of the world, and there was a hungry dragon. He was hunry for power, for lust, for more than the glorious things he had been given. He was passionate about Mim, their creator. It was forbidden than any dragon interact with her while she peacefully watched over. He was the first to disobey, and also the last." The woman seemed to quieten after her last words, before continued the story. Something about this part of the story made her feel guilty, and hurt her heart. "Day after day, he would whisper to her mind, call to her, show her things. Talk to her, beg her to come down to him on the Earth. He promised her love. A love like no other. An irreplaceable passion. The incessant begging drove the mother dragon mad, and she finally let go of her tail. His selfish actions had disturbed the balance, the madness overriding her care and love for her creations, plunging the world into darkness. Afraid and confused, the dragons had the urge to bury underground to escape the rumbling of the grounds. Mountains of piles of dragons turned to stone, creating huge, uneven ridges across the Earth that became mountains. Deep valleys lay in-between the stone frozen petrified dragons, and life was no more. His lust and greed had created a wrath like no other, which had destroyed the perfection. As the balance crumbled, Mim fell from her orbit, numbed and cold. She fell, deeper into the null. The first and last sentient being. However, she couldn't let it end like that. And so, with her last breath, she created two people. They had emotions, but little power, imbued with magic. To prevent the imbalance again, Mim made the two people to balance each other, and their names were 'Yin and Yang'. That is the tale of creation, and the story behind this marking." Ankoku ended with a gentle smile, adjusting the flowers in her lap. She wondered what the girl would think of the tale. Personally, Ankoku preferred to believe the story of Chaos and Cosmos, but the story of Mim and her lustful lover held a significance to her title. Every time she saw the red ink mark, it would remind her just what kind of curse she was. |

Trinity waved her hands to reassure Ankoku. "Don't worry, they were nice ones, about how beautiful you are!" Only these sorts or rumors were able to be heard by her. Others happened to be avoided casually, for the sake of the innocent brunette. Trinity paled when she heard Ankoku's answer about the Gluttony sinner. Guess I'll sleep with the nightlights on from now onwards... maybe with the metal baseball bat too... Her cheer was a little more subdued as she took on an expression of attentiveness, hanging on to evey word Ankoku said, and even gasped and winced when she came to the part about the death of the dragons. "That's a very sad story, not quite like Comsos and Chaos..... but still! If it was real...." She finally said when the dark-haired woman finished the tale, and frowned as she thought of whether the mountains resembled dragons. Maybe they do! Edited by Trinity, Dec 16 2013, 11:08 PM.

"Things are only as real as your faith in them are. Anything is possible, if you hold that belief close enough to your heart." Ankoku smiled fondly, sitting back on the bench and placing her hands behind her, chin tilted almost perpendicular to the ground. Her gaze was lifted up and out into the wide open skies, in a regal gaze. She seemed to be reminiscing about something in silence, before finally replying to Trinity. "It doesn't have to be a sad story. It is also the tale of new life, and rebirth. Balance is everything in the powerful system we live in." |

Trinity gasped and smiled, clapping her slender hands once excitedly. "My dad used to say that as well! Well, only the first part, haha!" She faced the sky as well, but closed her eyes in a relaxed fashion as she let the wind lift her hair and tickle and cheeks. "Ano, Ankoku-sama, do you feel happy, in your kingdom? Or, athe very least, find it peaceful?" Trinity asked as the thought wandered into her head. |

The brunette's question startled Ankoku slightly, jolting her into deep thought. True happiness was so hard to obtain in a world were power and material possession was everything. "I suppose you could say that... I am happy, yes. I live better than many in the cities. I am grateful for the nirvana the King has granted me, as a lowly sinner. If there is one place where I am truly at peace though, it has to be the Crystal Garden in the underground kingdom. It's stunning, all aglow with fireflies fluttering around, crystals stretching as far as the eye can see. And the majestic trees... Oh, there is no more peaceful place than that, I swear. Say Trinity, does the White Kingdom have anything similar? Grand gardens, or a beautiful peaceful place? I strive to find those places and preserve them. It's where such beauty is, that truely romantic moments happen." |
