The air sprites loved the Rainbow Carnival. They loved the colourful lights and the strange rides, the smell of cotton candy and popcorn and all the different people. They loved the sounds, the laughter of children and the gossip between people, the music, loud and overwhelming and the information they could find. For them, the fair was not just a kaleidoscope of colour, but of smells, sights, people, emotions, energy, taste and information. It was like taking a child to a candy store and giving them free reign to taste whatever they want. Which was why Naiya was wondering why she was there. "This is so troublesome." Her mind voiced it's dissent. "Why did I ever agree to come anyway?" "Because the air sprites didn't give us a choice." They both knew the answer, after all, both sides of her mind were still her mind, but it felt better saying it out aloud. Or in her thoughts, but the point was to have another person to complain to and apparently, another side of her brain was good enough. "They're so... So..." She was trying to find a word to describe them. "Troublesome?" offered the other. That word, overused as it had been, was unfortunately the perfect word to describe them. The feeling where she just wanted to strangle them, but loved them anyway. Vices are what I seek to remove from existence. Only purity must triumph. The breezes brought that sentence to her. A rare emotion began stirring in her, bubbling, furious, hot, yet cold and icy. She barely recognised it, having felt it so rarely -only once- in her life, yet she would never forget it. It was the same emotions she'd felt upon finding the brutally murdered bodies of her parents, the same emotions she'd felt when the village told her she must become a tool -a weapon- for them as she had held the bloody, cold, lifeless bodies, crying, the same emotions that she'd felt as she broke them, the villagers, mentally, emotionally and financially. Cold rage. She was furious that anyone would wipe out all vices from existence. Didn't they know that no one was perfect? Didn't they know that if they did, all balance would cease to exist? The Sinners, the Vices were there because of all the other sinners, there to balance out the Virtues, yin and yang, light and dark, opposite, but none could exist without the other. That this person would try and wipe them out just for this 'purity' infuriated her. "Take me to whoever said that." It was an order, short and cold, and the winds did not hesitate. The last time she'd been like this, she ruined her village. If taking her to this person would prevent a similar thing from happening to the Carnival, well, they were quite fast to bring her there. Accursed Temptress of Lust
|
Once more, Ankoku found herself wandering throughout the excited expanses of the Rainbow Carnival. A black velvet choker wrapped around her neck, the ruby pendant Tarrant had gifted her hanging from the ribbon. A slight smile found it's was to her regally stunning features, drifting through the crowds and milling by the stall in idle curiosity, her mood substantially higher than her last visit to this overly cheerful place. It was somewhat nice to escape from the dreary dark confines of the Black Kingdom, in the miserable bars where she whiled away her time. Mindlessly searching for something new to amuse and occupy herself with, a life of Lust could become tiring, is she found no interesting prey to sink her metaphorical fangs of charm into. Finally, Ankoku came to rest beside a particularly dense cluster of cotton-candy clouds, reaching out quietly, watching as patterns stirred in the pastel smoke. Scarlet hues chased the tendrils that escaped from the cloud, loops of hair covering one eye as per usual. |

Tarrant teleported again to the Carnival in hopes to enjoy himself. He sat of the same seat where he meet Ankoku. He didn't know why, but he wanted to meet Ankoku again. He wondered if he ever met her again. He waiting on that very spot, hoping that he will see that same smiling face again wearing the necklace that he gave her. He waited and watched as smiling people pass his seat. |

Dress That day, Ankoku was a flowing white dress, short with two layers and open at the back. The pure colour complimented her dark, long curled hair, red tattoo visible through the white mesh that started just above the bust and ended at the shoulders. Suddenly, a gust of wind stole her wide-brimmed white sunhat, whisking it away, off into the carnival where it rolled to a stop beside a bench. Chasing after it in dismay, she saw it stop beside two people, one of which appeared to be familiar. Could it really be Tarrant, on the same bench where they had met last time? Absentmindedly, Tarrant looked around the happy crowd without even noticing the other person sitting next to him. As he looked at two old couples walking in the streets, a white hat fell in front of him. Wondering who could have own such beautiful hat, he stood up and took it. As he got the hat in his hands, he notice a beautiful woman with a white dress looking at him on he knew even by the distance by the shining necklace. Smiling, he walked towards the her with the hat in his hands. |

Smiling lightly at the familiar face, it was the most genuine expression she had shown in days. "Fancy seeing you here again." Ankoku laughed lightly, accepting her runaway hat from him gratefully. "Isn't fate a funny thing." the woman from the Black Kingdom mused, placing the sunhat back firmly on her head and holding the side, to make sure it didn't blow away again.

"I know. Here is your hat." He said as he gave her hat back. "I know. You look amazing right now. So, what are you doing in Carnival again? Are you here to have fun again?" He said as if it was an inside joke that only they can laugh at. |

She batted her lashes slightly with a sly smile, feigning a shy, bashful reaction as she took the hem of her dress and did a light, girlish twirl. "You really think so? Thank you. This is a new dress, I thought it would be fitting for something more carefree among this environment of fun and games." She stifled a laugh at Tarrant's comments, catching onto the in-joke. "You could say that. I felt like coming back here today, don't ask me why. I'm a very transient person." |

"It suits you perfectly." He smiled at her as he said every word. He really admits, she truly look amazing with her looks right now. He hoped that she stays happy like this. "So, my dear Ankoku. Let's say we continue our fun around the Carnival?" He said as he show her his arm. |
