| In order to have a safe, fun, knowledgeable forum, we have to set rules! The following are general rules, and are subject to change by admin at any time. "Conure Crazy!" will be referred to as "CC!" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * No Spam: Spam is considered any posts that contain links to other web sites, being other forums, non bird sights, and yes, porn. We do our best at CC! to keep on top of this. If you find a link, please use the "report" tab, and staff will remove it. No links to other bird forums will be allowed without PRIOR approval from admin, otherwise it will be considered spam. CC! enjoys other bird forums, and loves to link our members to other sites, so please just get approval before posting. Links to other Conure forums are not allowed. This includes posted links or links in members profile or signatures. NOTE: We can also add your forum to the "forum alliance", as it is all for the benefit of our feather friends. * No bad words: CC! does have a word filter, but it doesn’t filter words that are posted with other letters added etc. This forum is open to children, so any members posting unacceptable language will either be given a warning, be given a temporary ban, or completely banned. This will be decided by admin and the moderators. Please keep the forum Child Friendly! * DO NOT post your full name. Any members who posts their full name will have their post/signature edited, and will be reminded of the forum rules. * No Bashing: Making fun of a member for any reason will not be tolerated. * Be respectful: Heated discussion do happen on forums, so please, re-read your post before you hit the "add reply" button! You might want to walk away for a few minutes and then come back and re-read your post. Can it be taken the wrong way and be offensive to other members? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * General posting rules: No "net speak". We have members from all around the world, and of all ages. Posts are much easier to read without it. So no "lyke" instead of "like" and no "cuz" instead of "because". The most CC! will tolerate will be LOL, TKS or TY, that’s about it though. Do not post in all CAPS! And no excessive punctuation marks !!!!!!!!!! It can be annoying. Do not post large pictures. Maximum picture size is 640x480. Over sized pictures will be changed to links. CC! Photobucket account. This account is for members that do not have a photobucket account. We recommend that members sign up for their own accounts, it’s a free service. All non bird pics WILL be deleted. New thread titles. Be specific with your new threads... don’t post "Conure question", post a more specific title like "my Conure keeps sneezing". Bumping Threads. Bumping threads will only be allowed after 2 days of the last post only if more advice is needed. Bumping just to bump will result in a closed thread. Off Topic. Please keep the threads on topic, if they start to go way off topic, a reminder will be given, and finally will be closed. We have an "off topic/chit chat" forum, so the conversation can continue there. Post in the correct Forum: Double check what forum you are posting in. Don't post a question about feeding your bird in the "Your Conures" forum, post it in the "Food & Nutrition" as an example. If you're unsure, please pm the staff. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Avatar/Signature size limits & links: Avatar limits are 100x100. We don’t have a limit on siggys, but please keep them small. Any abnormally large signatures will be removed by admin. Links to other forums will not be allowed unless approved by admin. (siggy size does not apply to staff, as they might have links, rules, etc) * Privacy: CC! records all guests and members IP addresses, for banning purposes only. We do use cookies, this helps track new posts, and other features in the users control panel. CC! will never distribute any contact info. Guest can see your AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, & MSN identities, so don’t disclose them if you want them private. * Registration and Password: You are responsible for your account. If you feel your account has been hacked, please contact admin immediately. Disciplinary action will be taken against your account, no exceptions. Change your password often! * Double posting: Double posting is a post by a member, and an immediate post after, adding to the original post. If you have something to add, use the "edit" button. Double posting will not be allowed. If due to a technical hickup, your post, posts twice, hit the report button and it will be fixed. * Copyright Infringement: Copying threads, posts, and articles without prior permission from admin is NOT allowed. Disciplinary action will be taken. It is usually just a case of asking first! If you believe that your property has been posted on CC!, please contact admin ASAP. * PM system: Please don't PM members or Staff for advice. If you have a question about your bird, please post your question so all members can advise. This is a learning forum, so other members looking for the same information will be able to learn from it too. Unless a member asks you to PM the question, keep it public. * Staff: Please obey our Staff. They DO have the final say. The only person to overrule a moderator’s decision is Admin. Staff is allowed to close any thread that is going in a negative direction. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * Board Staff: Below is all the staff that is active daily on CC! You may contact any staff member at any time with all comments and concerns. Board Administrators, aka "admin": Full control of all board settings, all members and guests, posts, images, and all other aspects of the board and forums. Super Moderators: Super mods have control over all forums. They can edit and close posts as needed. Forum Moderators: Have control over selected forums and can close topics until Super Mods or Admin can take over. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * If you find a post that has broken any rules, please contact any of the staff members or hit the report button. We have Super mods for almost every major time zone, but we can’t be on 24/7, so your reporting of posts and problem members is welcomed! * Remember, the members on the forum are not vets and any advice given should be taken at your own risk. Advice posted is from members experiences or from articles read elsewhere, and may not always be accurate. If you are posting a question about the health of your bird, the best advice would be from your AVIAN VET!
