Well, with Christmas time right around the corner... what are you plans? Do you stay home, or go to families? Cook on the eve or on the day? Do you open pressies Christmas eve or Christmas day? or if you don't celebrate Christmas, share what you do for the holidays in general!

We celebrate Christmas day... we get up, open what santa brought and stuffed our stocking... i normally start the turkey in the oven about 8ish and cook him nice & slow so we can eat around 2pm (gotta save room for pies at about 5 lol) i then make breakfast for us, and we will open a few small pressies from each other... then get ready for family to come over. when they (inlaws and brother in law) come over, we hang out for a bit, and then exchange pressies before eating. we have either a roast or ham w/ the turkey and lots of sides.

i'm dead to the world by 6pm LOL!!! then spend all the next day doing dishes heheehe!!!!

I'm not sure what I'm doing for Christmas this year. Usually my sister and her guy come down from Iowa for a week or so, but I'm not sure if they'll be able to make it this year. I'll probably spend this year at my brother's and his girlfriend's place, since it's not too far away.

What we usually do is Get together with one side of the family on Christmas eve (Big Family .. lol) . They usually cook a huge banquet , and i eat like a pig (Then regret it) haha . Then we exchange pressies with them . Usually we get home late and have to then play santa for our daughter and put her gifts under the tree .

Xmas morning we open our families gifts , and i usually make some kind of good breakfast (Chocolate chip pancakes last year ... mmmm) . Then we prepare to cook a banquet for the other side of the family , including my mother , brother , and 3 sisters come over . We usually cook or get honey baked ham , and all the fixings . Then we usually play Pool ( I made a huge game room at my house ) , we play darts , we play Guitar Hero , which the kids love to challenge me at on expert , and they still cant beat the old man .. hahaha . Everybody has a bunch of fun . If the weather is nice , me and the uncle will go for a quick motorcycle ride . Then everybody exchanges pressies , and we send them on their way .

I will be dead for like 3 days after this , but my wifes birthday is December 26th , so i have to make sure i have more pressies , and dinner for the next day too . (Now i have gained like 5 pounds from 3 days of eating , and totally will starve myself before we leave on vacation on January 3rd where i hope not to gain more weight ) :)

dead for 3 days after LOL!!! thats funny! you drive a motorcycle phil... i'm jealous! i've always wanted to learn! I love that you guys play darts, my favorite hang out game :)

when my paretns lived in so cal, they would come over christmas eve... they were not big on totally going overboard on gifts like my inlaws seem to always do to my daughter! so we would have a nice christmas eve dinner and hang out with some wine.

Mark, I'm glad your going to be with family, since its going to be different this year for you guys.

It is very easy to learn to drive a motorcycle . If you have a little experience driving manual transmission cars , you will catch on quick . Its really easy to get the feel for the clutch on a motorcycle . I have been riding since i was like 17 years old . Started with dirt bikes , and quickly decided to buy a Bike . I still ride both .

I love darts too , its a fun game .

Sounds like you guys have a nice christmas eve , and day over there in California too . Good wine on xmas eve sounds great to !
