(Reddit) Anyone Else Find Goodreads To Be A Buzzkill?
Quote:

I have found some books in the past that I was excited to read. After I had finished them, I went onto Goodreads to find more books from the author, or similar books in general. It seems to me that the top comments/reviews are predominantly negative! It is almost as if every wannabe writer is on there just to tear things apart. One thing I hate is when people give a book a bad review because of spelling mistakes. I agree that this is unnecessary given the modern tools writers have at their disposal; however, to write the book off because of this is just being a hater. I come to this page now because people here seem to really enjoy books and are keen to share a good yarn. Goodreads, in comparison, seems to be a place where people go when they need a reason to NOT read a book. (Reddit user Reluctant Protragonist)
