(Reddit) Can Depression Change How You Perceive A Book?
Quote:

When I was younger I used to read constantly. It was my pass-time, and people knew me as the bookworm. When I moved out I started getting busy and as life went on, I stopped reading books. It wasn't all at once, it was a sudden realization that I hadn't read a book in years.

Lately I have been depressed. My husband suggest I buy some books to help me get out of it. And I just can't seem to get into books like I used to. I enjoyed them, but it felt shallow. The vividness of the worlds weren't there and I found myself frustrated and putting down the book often.
Could this just be that I haven't found the right book?

Every book has been like this, and I just do not feel satisfied. (Reddit user KnockMellyKnock)
