General MB Discussion

Well, someone was going to do it and we really only have 2 active admins (Anata and I). Anyways, I suppose we'll include unit unlocks or whatever else MB related in this thread for now. I'm using similar formatting I've done for the FB General Information Thread & the old FB Tier Thread (Which is tucked away :P )

Any new information or missing information, let us know and we'll add it to this post.

Gameplay changes. List is far from complete. Taken from jp wiki. Maxi Boost JP Wiki


  • Burst System Changes: Assault and Blast Bursts are merged. Back to EXVS style.
  • Cost System changed for 1000. 1000 is now removed and is now 1500. So costs are now: 1500, 2000, 2500 and 3000. Still total of 6000 for team bar.
  • Unit HP increase for costs. Suits may vary but general idea of how much HP has been increased for each cost level. Below lists current MB HP for each cost and parenthesis shows how much hp was increased from FB.
    1500:500 (+170)
    2000:640 (+40)
    2500:720 (+100)
    3000:780 (+100)

Overdrive system added and replaces the Assault and Burst options. Abilities and Requirements below. Credits to Brett (@kazmadan).
Fighting Drive (F-Drive)

  • Improves melee capabilities
  • Improves melee reach
  • Improves melee damage
  • Lets you cancel ranged shots into melee
  • Guard Crush

Shooting Drive (S-Drive)

  • All ranged moves can directly cancel into each other & themselves
  • Increased red-lock range
  • Increased boost efficiency
  • Blue Steps (like Blast Burst)
  • Ammo refills much faster

Requirements for Overdrive Activation

  1. HP Needs to at 250 or lower. Gauge should be full and ready at this point.
  2. Depending on which overdrive is selected, needs a button to trigger Overdrive. If F-Drive, then than the main melee button (b) to activate. If S-Drive, then your main weapon (a) to activate.

However:

This should be only 00 Gundam Seven Sword, without the GN Sword II Blaster as in the OP it didn't have it (I didn't see it) and it would fit in with the 00V series because the /G variant was introduced in 00V Senki. Similar to how we have Avalanche Exia and not Avalanche Exia'.

I've edited for now. The jp wiki lists it as /G (ダブルオーガンダム セブンソード/G?), that's why. Not too sure why someone would list it as that, considering how hawk-eyed and thorough folks are in Japan. Surely evident is the missing GN Sword II Blaster.

It's someone getting it from pre-release (doesn't remember the details, but it's related to using GP and VS Conquest)

Anyway, the moveset. It's pretty close to what I assumed before in the PV.

Main : GN Pistol Bit - Normal BR
-Off Angle Main : Shoots two BR on both hands. During S Drive, you can do : Off Angle Main --> Main to get free fall.
-Cancel into all other inputs (Melee, Sub, AC, BC)
CSa : GN Rifle Bit II - Dynames's CS, but it bends more now.
- Cancel into melee
- CS -> Melee -> Main cancel process for free fall
- Inputting direction can affect the performance a bit, makes Zabanya slide to that direction while sniping.
Multi CSa : GN Pistol Bit - Similar like Noir's Multi CSa, fires rapid shots of beam to both targets.
- Inputting melee will cancel the multi lock.
Melee : GN Pistol Bit. Have variations on all directions
- Neutral : Makes them standby near your suit. Just like Cherudim or SF's AC, however it fires along with your Main not standalone.
- 8 : Arrange them into * shape and place them in front of your suit, then fire
- 2 : Arrange them into * shape and place them in rear of your suit, then fire
- 4/6 : Send them into your enemy and fire when it gets close.
- All of them can be cancelled into Main for free fall.
- Every variation only spend 1 ammo, so you can have 2 different variations active at the same time. Example : Nb to deploy them near your suit and pressing 4/6b to send them into your enemy while still leaving the former active.
Sub : GN Missile. Cherudim's missile but covers wider area. Inputting directions will fire them into left and right leaving the center part blank
AC : GN Rifle Bit II - Have a pretty wide projectile barrier on the front side when firing
- Neutral : Random shooting.
- Direction input : Gerobi.
- Since the usage of this weapon use all of the bits, it will recover all of them that being deployed (This include Holster Bit/BC, Pistol Bit/Melee)
BC : GN Holster Bit
- Shield Bit, now with 200 HP. Like Cherudim's Shield Bit, can be send to your partner too.
- The Holster Bit will stop working while you use AC or Burst Attack(The Bit will return to you and have the icon on HUD turns red).
- As always, can be optionally recovered without waiting for the timer to run out by pressing BC again.


I guess that's it so far, will add more details after people done researching it.

Zabanya is officially out, along with the update that nerf it LOL (and other suits too)

Probably won't go into details, but this is the general summary

Nerf :
-Sinanju - 4/6b melee, Red lock shortened, reload time for Sub and AC is increased by 2 seconds
-GP02A - CSa charge time increased, explosion size is reduced, nerf on proration rate (smaller damage on following it up after the explosion hits)
-Zabanya - CSa projectile speed is reduced, HP (720->700), Mobility is nerfed, AC does not instantly reload when you go into Burst, Beam speed for AC(Gerobi) and its damage is reduced, BC (Shield Bit) active time is reduced for 1 second and takes 4 more seconds to reload, Melee (Pistol Bit) reload time and general performance is nerfed.

Change and Buff
-Gelgoog - Moveset is restored to Full Boost version. Got some buffs in ammo count for Main and faster charge time for CSa
-Strike - Moveset is restored to Full Boost version. Mobius Zero is allocated into CSb now, and it shoots Linear Gun too during the assault. Along with buffs on most weapons in all mode except IWSP.

Buff only
-GP01
-General 2000 cost units, gains more ex burst gauge from taking damage. Guts correction(bonus you get from how low your HP) and mobility is improved.

Maybe this VS Conquest is a good idea for Bamco. Since it allows early access to folks for an upcoming suit unlock, this can give them feedback for a general idea if a suit needs to be adjusted before being released to the masses. At least they are addressing both Zabanya and Sinanju since they're in the "Too good" scenario. I guess I could understand GP02. The explosion size for the CSa was pretty damn decent and had a good chance for folks to get hit by it.

Restoring Char's Gelgoog moveset to FB version.. Not sure if I like it. I was quite happy they allocated his CSa to ab. Hopefully his CSa now charges as fast as Gatogoog.

Slight info for FA Unicorn is out, though it's technically still a leak from the usual person so take it with a grain of salt....

The general feel of the unit is similar like Turn X from NEXT, it has 3 versions of armaments (though, it changes all weapons not just the main). You can purge them optionally, and it has offensive hitbox during the purge

The order
1. Anti Warship armaments : Missile, Grenade, etc (Can detach propulsion tank too during this part)
2. Mega Beam Launcher (bendable), Hyper Bazooka
3. Banshee Norn, Funnel Shield, melee

Beam Magnum is still there

Interesting. This certainly would make the unit play different than vanilla Unicorn. Very interesting about the optional purge. So you can retain current loadout until the ammo runs out and it'll switch to the next weapon load out or you manually purge to the next weapon set if I'm reading that right? Sounds pretty cool. I'm curious what the Banshee Norn is? You switch to Banshee Norn or is it an assist?

Also with the first 2 weapon load outs, you're pretty much ranged, no melee until third loadout? I know this is all rumor mill at the moment and I'm throwing questions at things we don't have any solid answers yet, lol.

Manually purge, but it's one way trip so you can't go back to previous loadout once you purge.

Yes, Norn is an assist.

Welp...there's several FA Unicorn vids out on YT. I may grab a couple on NND when more start showing up. Already had one where Moriken's Exia pretty much annihilated the player right off the bat, lol.

So far, it seems most people are sticking to the 2nd form and then eventually going to the 3rd form if folks are in close range to catch them on Pressure. Plays uniquely enough from vanilla Unicorn from what I've seen.

Anyways, super rough translation. Or rather machine translation. I leave it to Anata to fill in the details/correct information =D

Pilot: Banagher Links
HP: 800
Cost: 3000

First Form
Main: Beam Magnum - No manual reload.
B: Hand Grenade
CSb: Missile Pod
2B: Tackle
Sub: Beam Gatling Gun - Ammo is shared with the 2nd form.
ac: Full Fire - Uses the hand grenades, missile pods and grenade launcher.
bc: Armor Purge Dash - Unicorn dashes forward while purging out the propellent tanks, shoulder missiles and grenade launcher. Unicorn will be in 2nd form.
4/6bc: Propellent tank purge. Unicorn fires both tanks while rolling to whatever side you inputted. They fly forward and will explode after a certain range if they do not hit anything. Also versatile as a weapon (234 dmg). Has a decent area of explosion(You can get caught in it if you purge it like point blank with an enemy) Unicorn will be in 2nd form.
Burst: Banshee Norn assist [Wild Dance] - As seen in the Trailer PV. Using this will force Unicorn into the 3rd form afterwards.

2nd Form
Main: Beam Gatling Gun
Sub: Hyper Bazooka - Uses 2x Bazookas. Can input 4/6ab to move in that direction.
ac: Mega Beam Launcher (thin gerobi) - Not too sure if this manually bendable but does move a little bit. Shot comes out really fast but seems to really stay on a horizontal plane.
bc: Pressure (Armor Purge) - Unicorn uses Pressure and purges off the Beam Gatling, Hyper Bazooka and MBL. Goes to 3rd form. Looks like the funnel shields also deploy out in gatling mode and attacks the target.
Burst: Banshee Norn assist [Wild Dance] - Same as above.

3rd Form
Main: Vulcan - How Unicorn was in NEXT during it's Destroy Mode, lol.
Sub: Beam Magnum - Fires a single br shot. Shield funnels move in front of Unicorn to act as a projectile shield. Br seems to come out slow (looks similar to how Unicorn first use it's beam magnum in the show and had that initial powerup shot).
ac: Banshee Norn assist - Ridde appears in Banshee Norn and fires a single br.
neutral bc: Funnel Shield [Gatling] - The funnel shields fly towards the enemy and fires the beam gatling guns.
dir + Bc: Funnel Shield [Assault] - The funnel shields fly towards the enemy and will physically try to attack the opponent.
bc(If the funnel shields have been deployed out from using the 2 above variations). Pressing bc + direction, Unicorn does a special movement, seemingly rolls to the side inputted. Seems to look similar to Ridden's Zaku or GNX-III's special movement.
Burst: Banshee Norn assist [Wild Dance]

Welp, surprised that we're getting Blitz, lol. Didn't see that coming.

There was some other news updates to MB.

May 27 Update
FA Unicorn officially unlocks. Up until now, the May 17 release was for the 2nd season of VS Conquest.
May 18 to June 11: VS Conquest Season 3
May 23 to June 8: Some kind of campaign or something? But Lacus IJ and Johnny's Zaku II is mentioned/shown. So I guess MB will be getting FB Clones, LOL.

Along with the May 27 update:
2500 cost will be adjusted.
CPU battle course adjusted in terms of difficulty (Thanks ZGMF)

The following units will be adjusted (You can bet nerfs and buffs to some of the obvious).
3000: Nu Gundam、V2、Wing Zero(TV)、Turn X、Zabanya、Hi-Nu
2500: The O、Gundam X DV、Legend,、Susano、Banshee、Crossbone X3、Red Frame Kai
2000: Gundam、Gundam G-Mecha、Char's Zaku II、Qubeley Mk-II (Puru)、Dragon
1500: Berga Giros
