All right before all of you blow us up step back and take a deep breath. This is from the source that have us pictures of the Space Marines and the Codex a month early. Also gave us pics of the Dark Elves which we described accurately a month early. Also gave us the info on the Sentinels of Terra. He also let us know that Nids were in January NOT December like so many other rumors sites predicted. So yeah he has been very accurate with the info he has given us. They way it was explained to us is that 7th Edition will be made to include the new Escalation and Stronghold rules. I would also not be surprised to see the Dataslates added to the main rule book.

Yes this is a rumor at this stage so take it with a grain of salt. But then again everything out source has said has come true. Only time will tell. Have a Merry Christmas with your families and don't let this put a knot in your undies.

Personally, I'm finding this one hard to swallow.

Although many people claim that GW are worse than British MPs and Wonga for trying to fleece people out of their hard earned cash, surely they haven't got back their investment in 6th edition yet. so, if GW are as rapacious as they say, surely they'd try and milk more money from 6th edition before unleashing 7th - especially as there is a lot of 6th material still in the shops.

Call me cynical, but, in my opinion, this sounds like someone trying to drum up a bit of controversy and get in some not so subtle GW bashing at the same time

Harelquin Models and possible Mini-Dex

My info is from a while ago, so obviously it may have changed a lot, but it ties into what you mentioned about a Harlequin codex. I had info that there was a 10-man plastic box of harlequins being designed to be released I assumed with the next DE book. The design parameters included the standard options, but the box was also to have bits for a troupe master and solitaire. Separate from this was plastic blister death jester. There was also a rumor heard that one designer was working on a harlequin jetbike as a pet project following the new DE jetbike asthetic.

Does any of this hold water, no idea. It’s been about 9 months, and I’ve heard nothing more on it, so I don’t know. Probably needs lots of salt, but if we consider the possibility of Harlequins getting a standalone ally dex…maybe there is more to this?

Must say that I like the idea of plastic Harlequins. I'm getting the Finecast set off my children for Xmas and, to be honest, I'm not a big fan of Finecast. what's even better is the possibility of a harlequin Jetbike. it was this that first got me interested in Eldar many years ago (I was, actually, working at Citadel at the time) and, when I came to, finally, start my Eldar force, I was sad to see that it was no lnger an option.

GW Release Rumours 2014

Please bear in mind that these are rumours and have nothing in the way of official confirmation:

Bell of Lost Souls

We've been hearing from a variety of sources on what's coming for 2014. Here's the latest scuttlebutt:

December/January: Tyranids
Q1-14: Dwarfs, Imperial Guard
Q2-14: Wood Elves, Orks
Q3-14: WFB 9th, Bretonnians, Space Wolves
Q4-14: Dark Eldar, ???

You should treat each quarter as less reliable than the one preceding it. Q4 would certainly allow 1-2 more releases. Based on this list the following armybooks/codeces would still be left un-updated for both systems:

40K:
Blood Angels
Necrons
Grey Knights

WFB:
Skaven
Beastmen

If you throw in one of those two WFB books leftover into Q4, and it's almost entirely updated by end of 2014!

Any updates as to the schedule will be posted as and when

What's Happening With Brettonians?

Bretonnia models have been reported missing, in fact quite a few. This was sent in earlier today and by the time I was able to check on the GW site, Grail Knights were available again. It doesnt change the fact though that this armies status remains in question. Is Bretonnia going to be absorbed into another army book like the Black Templar were in 40k?

Please remember that this is rumor and conjecture. Mostly just looking at what is happening to this army.

Here's hoping that the Bretonnians are going to be upgraded soon as its been a while

No WFB 9th Edition in 2014

Saturday is the release of the digital interactive rulebook for Warhammer Fantasy, which has left people wondering about purchasing it if a new rulebook is about to be released. Well, Eddie over at Games Workshop digital answered the question.

While he did not say for certain that there is no new edition coming this year, what he said rather insinuated it.

Question:
why would I buy this version if 9th Ed is going to be out in 2014?!?

I'm sure you can appreciate we can't comment in detail on any future un-anounced releases, but we wouldn't be releasing a new book to have it become redundant soon after.

Mixed feeling about this. My bank account certainly is happy if this is the case. However, I'd heard rumours that the new starter set was going to be Empire vs Orcs and Goblins which I found pretty interesting.

Hammerhead 2014

The Forest Outlaws in Mansfield (of whom I am a member) have taken over the organisation and running of the annual Hammerhead Wargames show. Formerly at Kelham Hall, the venue has changed to Newark Showground and, in 2014, will take place March 1.
