So this thread is to discuss cliche things, obviously. However before you ask, yes there are three different cliches. 1. The normal cliche: Just a regular, over used, whatever. A normal cliche. 2. The "fake" cliche: This is one that I come across in my thoughts A LOT. Basically, it's something that seems cliche, but if you notice, it's almost never used. My favorite example is (because this is the first one I came across while planning out a game) when the final boss was the first boss of the game. 3. The cliche that makes no sense at all: Just what it says, this cliche seems decent enough, but when you think about it, it's stupid. "I would die for you!" This one is one that really bugs me. If you die for someone, they'll never see you again. So you say you love them, but you die for them and leave them alone forever? What? There are a lot out there, but this is the first one I thought of. So yeah, discuss how much some cliche things annoy you. |

Cliches are kinda unvoidable. When you think about it the author has already been loaded with these cliches so it's kinda traited to the belief that a story has to end in one of these three ways! |
