I am transferring to university this semester from community college and was accepted right away. I had thought I got all of my general education stuff out of the way only to find out that some courses had no equvilent at university and thus did not count. Now, instead of $72 a credit I have to pay much.... much more to take these basic courses. well, whatever, no biggie, IF I COULD JUST REGISTER FOR THEM! due to paperwork like proving I am in fact a US citizen and getting my immunization records, I have only been able to register for classes recently. I don;t have my license and I don;t live in town, so I had to get my mom in order to show the registrar my documents. Hold back #1! school starts NEXT WEEK and I am only registered for two courses right now, both related to my major, and I need more. The website only operates between 7am and 8pm and last night as I was getting ready to register for a class, the clock struck 8 and the website wouldn't let me do anything. Today I was able to find two classes with open spots that would finish off my gen ed stuff, but when I went to register for them I was informed that those classes are restricted to students having orientation today only. I checked the schedule of when such restrictions would be in effect and discovered that nothing is noted for today, but in fact tomorrow. I know full well that those seats will be all filled up before I get a chance at them and it is infuriating. it really really sucks because those two classes would fit in perfectly between my other classes. this coupled with my laptop's power cord being messed up makes for an unhappy and frustrating day. Oh! and I gave myself blood blisters under my big toe nails at Otakon and not only may I lose one of the nails, but I don;t think I'll be able to go camping with the family this week. fun! |
