Hi guys,

As a few of you (probably) know I'm interested in a game coming out in a few months called Guild Wars 2. It is a MMORPG that requires no monthly fee and tries to be different from the archaic MMORPG formula. (i.e. the WOW/Runescape grindfest)

If it looks like a few people here are going to play, I'll set up a guild for this clan on release, and start advertising for it on the Guild Wars forums.

If you're interested but have never heard of it before, it'd be worth watching this video:

As being an ex-professional RuneScape player or for those of you (RuneScape - MMORPG - The No.1 Free Online Multiplayer Game) Should be a a game to look into seeing as it's wallet friendly.

Rule 1
I will die and one day all that I am will cease to be

Rule 2
I am Born alone, And die alone, I can never truly know another

Rule 3
The suffering in life is my own creation. I create my reality with my choices

Rule 4
All meaning is arbitrary and relative. Life is ultimately meaningless

This will be immortalised in my essence. My cringe will know no bounds.

Yeah it looks good, don't really like the hot bars and how there's no specific role in encounters e.g. boss fights, seems kinda silly that in an MMORPG that there isn't a specific role to be played.
Will have to check it out though.

I agree about the hot bars, though I think that's just because they want you to select your skills more carefully/to adapt to situations rather than just having them all there.

I had the same feeling about professions, but then as I learnt more about them it's more that each profession is more suited to a certain thing than another, but it doesn't mean they can't do it. i.e. The Warrior can use a bow to do range damage, but they don't have the same skills that would make using a bow as a Ranger more deadly.

Yeah but then you see in things like pvp, in most mmo's the good players are defined by using all their attacks, buffs and heals that they can for that specific situation, so it just seems like the pvp will be equal which sounds funny but it's not really how it's meant to be.
