What is DFA?

Delegates and Founders for Activity (DFA)

Nope! This is not your mother's alliance. This isn't even an alliance. It's an free association of people who aspire to increase activity and improve the game. Regions will have no say in what happens, since it's a private club. In practice, I hope Delegates and Founders for Activity becomes a center for mostly new delegates and founders to share their experiences and help each other better their home regions and thus the game at large.

Now, to answer some possible questions:

Why use this forum?
No, the forum isn't meant to steal activity from other forums, nor is it meant to supplement existing forums. It's just the not-so-secret clubhouse for getting down to the nitty gritty. What works, and what doesn't work. How can we help each other, and how can we work together to achieve real results?

Still, what the heck?
DFA is part library, part debate hall, part secret society. My dream is for it to explore all aspects of NS (roleplaying, the WA, gameplay, general discussion, spam, and anything else that floats your boat). Members must be either a WAD or founder, among other sensible requirements (none of which require signing a treaty). Membership will have customizable pledges, all of which will focus on improving the NS multiverse one region at a time. These pledges are non-binding and membership can be resigned anytime. Remember, this is just a fancy club. If I wanted to have control over a whole bunch of regions, I'd just found a whole bunch for myself.

Why just WADs and founders?
It's exculsive to delegates and founders because I said so. No, really. It's exclusive to those with access to the regional controls because at the end of the day, they are the ones who are responsible for a region's success. Well, can't others participate? Perhaps there will be exceptions (like forum admins), but DFA isn't supposed to be an alliance of regions, it's supposed to equip the people who are the most able to do the most good. So DFA doesn't need foreign ministers and ambassadors running about, mucking up the place. (However, it will be hosting embassies as a means to extend the reach and knowledge of members. So foreign ministers and ambassadors, feel free to stop in and muck up the embassy row. Truly, it'd be an honor to have you.)

How can I join?
(Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic, but don't you think it might be worth trying?) Just register an account or TG me. Then follow the easy-to-follow steps to first learn about DFA's opportunities, then to join as a member with a customized level of personal involvement.

Is DFA a dictatorship?
In short, yes. At length, yes. Haha, seriously though, members are free to do what they want, just as I am free to create DFA and invite you to join. My perogative to say no is just a safety net to ensure DFA stays true to it's vision. Democratic elements will be heavily featured to inspire discussion and build consensus. What's the point in creating a club if no one enjoys it?

Um, why this, why now?
If you're asking why I've created this, what my motives are, or why I am the one doing it, this club isn't for you. Yes, the devil is in the details, just not this time since DFA membership is not a contractual agreement, besides the forum ToS. DFA is committed to enjoying NS for no other reason than NS is a game. It doesn't intend to rain on anyone's parade, so you shouldn't feel threatened or annoyed. Perhaps this isn't the first association of its kind, but it's mine and I am going to have fun. As they say, "Haters gonna hate!"

If you have any questions, feel free to post below or TG me.
