No one could tell her anything. You simply could not look her in the eyes and tell her she was wrong, or tell her that she needed help. Blake was to 'on her own' type girl. She would admit her wrongs when she felt like it, if she needed help, she found it herself. She was strong-willed and she didn't take shit from nobody. Smart, athletic, and talented when it came to things like music and fighting. She was good at hiding the feelings she felt towards someone or the fear that she kept she inside. She was a typical 17 year old girl. Average height, average weight, long flowing brown hair, bright blue eyes, and a figure to go with it all. Her personality always filled the room, her ability to hold conversations maturely with adults attracted few men. She was intimidating to boys her age and she didn't mind that. She liked her older men. Preferably ones that were posted on her wall from magazines, posters, websites. She adored heavy music, but her main focus. Metallica. That one man, tall, not so dark, but very handsome. he wasn't much to look at muscle wise, but he had long legs, tattoos, short multi-colored hair that was usually messy.

Her dream was to meet him. Just talk to him about how he makes the riffs that he does. She wasnted to get to know him, but not in the horny, fan-girl way. All her friends obsessed over him in the perception of sex. What he'd be like in bed, how he'd kiss, how big his penis was. These things disgusted her. To like someone simply for their figure was outrageous and she didn't see the beauty in it. Or the excitement. She just wanted to hear his voice, strain her fingers to play the way he did, and strain her voice to match his. She knew lots about him. Where he grew up, all the way to which hair cut was in which year. Yeah, she was obsessive and she knew it. But she didn't care, it wasn't in a pervy way or anything.

Blake spent most of her day up in her room. Practicing guitar, practicing lyrical writing. She was striving to hard to be like him. But it was all she could do when the hours of the gym read closed. Her parents were divorced, and she was closest with her dad, but she was working for her mom's attention. She wanted it, she needed it. But no matter what, she was rejected by the preppy, girly lady. She didn't understand. It was Friday night, and while all her gal friends and buddies were out at the nearest, coolest party, she as up in her room on her laptop, earbuds in, track shorts on with matching sports bra. She wanted to go to the gym, she wanted to hit heavy sand bags. Even with Youtube's volume up, and her laptop's volume up, she could still hear her parents fighting. She had the nerve to go down there and mediate the situation but they'd most likely just turn her away.

SHe couldn't hear what they were fighting about, but it must've been about her because that's all the really did fight about. Her dad, defending her while her mom criticized how her daughter was a tomboy and never had boyfriends or wore any make-up. Who gives a flying fuck about appearence. I'm comfortable in my own skin. She thought to herself. She was never really the type to cuss unless she was really upset or pissed off. She slammed her laptop shut, yanked out her headphones and dropped to the floor, forcing out another set of push-ups. She watched her face in the mirror. A straight glare wrinkled her eyebrows, and tight lips formed a scowl at the pain in her shoulders. She finally dropped onto her stomach when she couldn't have enough. Her cell rang and a short smile appeared on her face. Allie. Thank god. Hopefully you're calling to save me. She thought.

"Hello?" She answered quietly. "Blake! I hope you're dressed, cause I'm on my way to get you! We're going out tonight, there's a metal band playing at the teen pub tonight." A smile appeared on her face as she rushed to her closet and pulled on her skinny jeans. "Who's playing? I'm getting dressed now." "I don't know. Some band called Viremia! I hear they're heavy and fast. OH! Wear your Death Magnetic shirt! We can be twins!" She giggled lightly and set her phone down on speaker. "How far are you?" "Like ten minutes. Hey, what's that noise? Everything okay?" "Uhm, yeah why?" "I can hear yelling in the background." "My parents are fighting again. Dad came by to get me and mom won't let me go." "Ugh, well why not? Why's your mom got such a burr up her ass lately?" "I don't know. Maybe cause I'm grown up, and not gonna put up with all her shit anymore. I'm gonna leave a note on my door saying I went out to a concert with you and I'll send dad a text message. I gotta go cause I'm fixing to climb out my window." "Okay Blake. I'm around the corner." "Okay, bye." "Bye."

She hung up, pulled on her tee shirt and quickly wrote out a note to post to her door. once she hit the cool, wet grass she sent her father a text. Hey pops, I didn't wanna come down and disturb you and mom's discussion but wanted to let you know Allie came and got me and we're going to go see some band Viremia play at the teen pub. I'll have Allie drop me off at your place after the show. Love you. She pressed send and smiled climbing into Alilies truck.

The place was packed full of people and the music was loud. Just the way she liked it. Blake nudged Allie for her attention and leaned into her ear. "Why is there so much paparazzi? Arer these guys famous or soimething?" She hollered. Allie shrugged and shook her head. "Wonder what's going on then. You sure this is safe?" Allie gave her a sarcastic look and hollered back in her ear. "I think we'll be fine so long as we stay close to each other. I'm not sure about all the cameras' but lets get to the stage and into that pit!" Blake smiled at her friend, grabbing her hand and pushed her way up front. They had a hell of a time pushing their way around in the pit. Guys seemed to be avoiding them a bit until Blake slammed into a man much larger than she was. Everyone stopped, including Allie, but Blakje kept going like nothing happened. And the guy was returning the favor. She was being tossed around so much she couldn't really see much, but her feet and those of anothers' sliding across a cement floor. She finally took a breath and pulled away.

When she got Allie's side, her friends face was pale and nearly shocked. Blake smiled and waved her hand in front of her face. "hello?! Earth to Allie!! What's wrong, you look as if you've seen a ghost!" Blake giggled but her friend continued to stare absently. Blake stood behind her looking over her shoulder ass if to get the same line of view as her friend. Her heart soon stopped when she recognized the man she had been moshing with. Let alone slamming her body into...

Blake sat there motionless and stared at the large man like he was about to kill her. He was smiling and still jumping around with a few other men. Allie nudged her with her elbow. "You were just.." "I know." She finished for her. "Get back in there dude! Do it again!" "No..No I'm good." Allie spun and looked at her friend, crazy written across her face. "Dude, get. In. There. Now. That was awesome!" "Yeah and i made a fool out of myself probably." "No you didnt! You were rockin that! Nearly kickin his ass!" Blake shook her head and giggled no way was she getting back in that pit after that stunt. Not after slamming bodies and elbows into James hetfield. Her idol none the less. Now it was time to shy away..Or not.

She was thrown off her feet and into the mess of the flailing limbs of the pit. She didn't know who or how someone tossed her but if she found out, they would be stepping out into the parking lot. She decided to just go with it, enjoy the show and mosh with the rest of the crowd. There really was no avoiding it even if you went up to the bar. She took a few big hits, nearly stumbling but there was always someone there to grab her arm before she could hit the ground. She probably looked like a rag doll being thrown around while a bunch of pitbulls fought around her.

She was little that was for sure but she could hold her own. Each time the firm hand grabbed hold of her arm, it would puller against the chest and then shove her kindly, back out into the pit. Her hair had fallen in her eyes so there wasn't much to see but her black converse and a bunch of other feet that belonged to faceless people. Though, not that she was complaining. Just when the fun started and the circle pit began once more, much faster, that same hand dragged her out. She felt her heart race and tried to free the hair from her face with her free hand.

When she looked up she noticed a tall man in a purple tank top, black jeans, and what looked like biker boots. Not catching his face in teh dark room she quickly started to wriggle her way out of his grasp. But the grip tightened and so she began to yell for Allie. Surely, Allie would not hear her in this mess of a place but she'd at least try hoping the nameless man would let go of her in fear of seeing someone fighting him away. But he never did. Instead she found herself being dragged up to the bar, where the nameless man then let go of her, smiling down at her. She looked up at him and knew her face had gone pale and her eyes had widened. "Hello, I'm James Hetfield. I'd say for a little gal like you, you sure can hold your own out there." "Why'd you drag me out?" "It was getting really rough and they were just tossin you around." His smile was deadly and sent shivers down ehr spine. She was speaking to him like he was some kind of, friend.

"Maybe I liked it. I was having fun." He smiled and Blake could hear his dark chuckle. "Are you here with somebody?" Blake looked around for a moment in search of Allie, but finding no sign of her. "Y..yeah I did. But I can't find her. She was standing right next to me when someone shoved me into the pit.." He nodded his head like he was thinking. "I'll help you find her?" Blake just stared at him blankly before starting to worry. The two never seperated from each other. No matter what. Blake quickly darted away from him and through the mass of large, sweaty men. Allie was nowhere to be found and she turned her head over her shoulder to find James trying to chase her. She pushed harder and faster, trying desperately to get away. Alas, the ladies room. She shoved herself in and slammed the door shut. A sigh of relief flew from Blakes lungs when she got a glimpse of her friends boots under one of the stalls. "Allie? You okay girl?"

She took a quick step back when Allie kicked the door open. Taking a quick survey of her buddy she found no tear marks, no bruises and nothing bleeding. "Oh my god, I'm so glad I found you." She wrapped her arms tightly around her friend. "Blake..Blake I'm fine. I just had to piss. Are you alright though?" Blake pulled away and took a deep breath. "Yeah, I'm fine. Some jerk off shoved me into the pit without warning and you won't believe this but right now i'm running from mr. Hetfield." Allie looked at her like she was lieing and Blake nodded her head in seriousness. "I swear Allie. We need to leave. he pulled me out of the pit and dragged me from the bar, said it was too rough, and then asked if I came with someone! That doesn't sound creeperish to you?!" Allie jsut laughed at her friend.

Blake scowled and turned away. "This isn't funny! i feel like he's stalking me!" "isn't that what you've always wanted though? To speak to him like a normal human being?" "It's so different when they're actually right there, in your face, touching you! Let alone slamming each others bodies together!" Allies laugh ignited an embarrassed fire deep in Blakes belly. Her friend grabbed her arm and drug her out of the bathroom, making sure to look for James before exiting. As they reached the night air outside, Blake was frantically searching for him. A car, a truck. Something that resembled him in anyway. "Hey, Ms. Detective, lets get home. He's probably left by now." Blake nodded in agreement and they began their close walk toward Allies truck.

Allie stopped dead in her tracks and immeadiately found herself standing behind Blake. When Blake finally noticed, there was alarge black pickup parked next to Allies. It was lifted a good 6 inches from the ground, KC lights on the grill, and massive tires for wheels. "Blake...that wasn't there when we came in." "Allie, relax, it could be someone in the pub...Cmon lets just get in and go." Allie trembled behind her friend and dug around in her pocket for her keys fumbling frantically before Blake grabbed her arm reassuringly. "Allie, it's alright...Okay? You got me, and we have this.." Blake lifted the side of her shirt to reveal her 9mm hand gun holstered on her hip. Allies eyes went wide with fright. "It's okay, I have a permit for it. Now lets go.." As they moved closer to her truck, Blake noticed someones feet shuffling on the side between the two vehicles. She stopped and rested her hand on her weapon, gently ushering Allie behind her Holding her hip to make sure she stayed close. "Who's there?" She called out a little shakily.

She sighed and took her hand off her gun when James once again appeared from the darkness. "Hey." He smiled. Blake glared at him and stepped back. "Mr. Hetfield it seems to me you're stalking us...If you don't leave us alone, I'll call the authorities." His face went pale, and he held his hands up in defense shaking his head. "No, no. That's not my intention. Really, I just wanted to congradulate you on your moshing skills. And catch your name.." Blake stared into his eyes wearily. "My name is Blake, this is my friend Allie. And thank you.." He nodded smiling and nodding his head. "It was nice to meet you guys. Drive home safely. And here.." He held out two blue and black pass looking things to them and Blake frowned, grabbing onto them, studying them. "What are they?" "All Access passes to The Orion festival. I hope to see you two there moshing. My band came here tonight to pass these out to certain moshers because we plan on having a moshing contest." He sounded confident and even though Blake was getting giddy and excited on the inside, she was really containing it and looking uninterested on the outside.

"When is it?" "juse 23-24. It's a Saturday and Sunday. out in New Jersey...I hope you can make it. That ticket pays for everything including the flight there and back." Blake sighed and Allie jumped with joy. "Thank you Mr. Hetfield!" She squeeled. "No, don't thank me. You gusy got some seruious balls in there. You belong at a metal festival." "yeah, except this is Phoenix. You're on the complete other side of the country! There's no way our parents will let us go to this." Allie smacked her in the kidney and glared softly before looking back at James. "We'll see what we can do. Have a good night Mr. Hetfield." She smiled, grabbing Blakes arm pulling her into the truck and starting for home. "Are freaking insane?! We'll see what we can do?! You know damn well we cannot make it to this damn thing!!" "Blake, relax you're starting to get to uptight and never having anymore fun. My dad will let me go, I know he will. And I know DAMN well your father will let you go." Blake sighed and rubbed at her head. "I'm not with my dad that weekend. Speaking of, will you take me to his house tonight?" "Yeah sure. And You can figure out a way to get to his house! I know you can. You come and go as you please anyway! What's the difference with this?" "Uh, that it's completely out of state?! Gee I don't know. My mom will have a cow if she ever found out my dad let me do that." "First off, your mom has a cow if you eat a fucking hamburger. Secondly, you'll be 18 by then. Thirdly, I'm sure if you didn't feel right enough, Mr. James Hetfield would gladly send out another ticket for your dad to come."

Blake sat silent for a minute and reached to turn thje radio up. "Blake, come on. THis is a once in a lifetime shot. He's your idol! you've dreamed about this since you were a little girl and don't tell me you haven't cause you have. I've read your blog." "Allie, I do want to go, but there's seriously something shady about this whole thing. I mean, none of his actions gave you the slightest bit of worry?" Allie shrugged, "I guess it did, but what exactly is Papa het, frontman of Metallica, 48 year old man, married with kids gonna do to a couple of teenage girls? Like really? Cmon be a little realistic. Please." Blake jus sighed and sat back til they arrived at her dads house. "You wanna stay the night? I don't want you driving home this late night by yourself. Neither would my dad." "You know, why even ask if you're never gonna give me a choice in the end anyway?" The two laughed and playfully shoved each other all the way up to the door step quietly stepping inside.
"Hello girls. You're back late." "Sorry dad but the--" "You won't believe what happened at the concert!" Blake looked at Allie in disbelief. You can't keep a secret for shit. She thought. Her dad looked up at them interestedly, "What happened?" "Nothing! Just a..normal bar fight! But! All is well now! Cmon Allie lets go upstairs." Allie stared at her in disappointment while her dad looked on in confusion.

The girls went up to Blakes room, shutting the door and plopping down onto the bed. "Wow, you have two seperate laptops?" Blake smiled shortly and nodded. "Yeah, dad said it'd be easiers for me rather than trekking things back and forth. Which, makes sense. He wanted this to be a seperate world from my moms' place." Allie nodded and sprawled out on her stomach. "Makes sense." She sat and watched her friend type away on her laptop before getting up and turning on the stereo. "Is your dad cool with music on late at night?" "Yeah, just not too loud. Neighbors are douchebags." They giggled and she turned the volume up moderately loud on Unforgiven 3. Blake looked up at her friend as she stared at all the photos on the wall of the two of them. "hey, you okay?" "Yeha." She responded quickly. "Like hell you are. You never listen to this song unless something is in your head." Blake slammed her laptop shut and grabbed her friends hand pulling her onto the bed.

"Tell me..Please." Allie curled her feet into her chest and rested her chin on her knees. "I just am glad I have you as my friend.." Blake stared at her friend in wonder. "Me too Allie..Now, explain to me what's going on." Allie took a deep breath, closing her eyes. She could see everything that had happened behind her bright blue eyes. her and Blake were practically the same. Allie was shorter, more stocky and tan. Her hair was short and blonde and she remembered how kids at school used to call her names like dyke and cunt. She opened her mouth to tell Blake her story. Just as she always had done with her gal-friend. It's all Blake ever wanted to hear about, was her story. "Member all those times we would sit in my room and play dress up with my brothers band tees? And how we would go out and play war with our paint ball guns? I was such a tomboy, and I converted you. You're mom, she despised me for that. Member all those times the kids at school said nasty things to me? I remember that day on the bus, when we first met...Some girls and their men were poking fun of me cause my hair was shorter than usual, and one of em got up and started hazing me....

"I remember you getting up and shoving her into her seat and sitting next to me. You were so much bigger than me than. My frame was a noodle compared to yours..And when your dad came and got you one day cause we kicked some girls' ass." Allie giggled and I smoothed her hair comfortingly. "I guess I'm saying this now cause some girls in the ladies room pushed me around a bit. But hey, I guess that's what I deserve for having short hair and in the metal scene." "No, that doesn't excuse it at all Allie." "I just wish you was there, cause you would've put their faces into the mirror." "Damn right I would have." Allie smiled softly and curled into Blakes side breathing softly as she started to drift off to sleep. Blake whispered a saoft good ngiht and thought about her dear friend while she slept.

Allie was right, Blake had been much larger than her back in school. Allie had been such a little noodle. So fragile and cute looking. Like she was innocent almost. But when Blake got hold of her, they trained every day at the gym, wrestled and grappled in her dad's backyard, cut each others hair to match and took dozens of photos on the Mac laptop. But now, Allie looked totally different. Her hair was a dirty blode, it was short and it's natural color was starting to peek through the roots. Her shoulders were broad with femine muscles, her arms buff and her stomach ripped with a 6 pack and smooth curves. Her eyes were a bright blue jsut like Blakes, but her teeth were straighter and much whiter. Her smile drew boys and girls in, but she alwasy turned the girls away. She hated being called names but she wasn;'t gonna change her appearence to fit society. She was stuck in her ways, and didn't give a damn about what her family had to say about her.

Her father was her only friend, her mom left just a few years ago, and her only brother spent his time and life out over-seas with people he didn't know. But Allie, she confided in her father and Blake to enver leave her like everyone else had. She was terrified of abandonment and didn't come to trust very easily. She slept soundly there next to Blakes side. And each time Blake woudl go to adjust, Allie's grip on her waist got tighter. they were a pair them two. Never seperated for any reason. they had each other's back and then some, even if it took busting knuckles on someone else or sneaking out for a shoulder to cry on. They loved each other and they were the best of friends, and the best of family. Just Blake, Allie and both their dad's. They didn't need anyone else in this world.

Blake thought about what Allie had said int he car about not wanting to have fun anymore and she thought it was a lie. She knew how to have fun, she was just careful about it. She smiled to herself as Allie started speaking in her sleep like she had always done. She kissed the top of her friends' head and got up quietly going down to the living room sitting next to her dad. "Allie asleep?" He spoke calmly. "yeah, she had a long night." "Your mother wants to have you fo--" "I don't care what mom wants. I want to live here with you from now on dad. She treats me like shit which causes me to do the same back...Look, I love mom because she's my mom. I don't love her for who she is." "I know baby girl. But the courts say she has more rights to you than I do." "not if I'm 18! I'll be an adult and then i can choose where I want to go!" Her father shook his head and didn't respond, just let his little girl curl into his side.

"I don't wanna leave you daddy." "I know sweety. What do you wanna do for your birthday anyway?" Blake sighed and started to get a bit nervous. Maybe her dad would let her go to the festival as a gift. "Well, there is one thing Allie and I both wanna do..." Her father pulled away and looked at her curiously. "You can do anything, except go to a male strip club. Ya hear me?" She giggled and blushed deep red. "Yes sir. Boys have cooties anyway. No, but we wanna go out to that Orion Festival this June..It's a Saturday and Sunday and out in Jersey." "How much are the tickets? An arm and a leg?" they both chuckled and Blake shook her head confidently. "No, they're free. We uhm...while we were out at the teen pub, I was moshing around and I ended up moshing around with James Hetfield!" The excitement on her fathers face matched her own and she sat up straight for the first time in years. "He ended up coming out to the truck and handing us the passes. Said he came to the club to find hardcore moshers cause they were having a mosh contest out there and he thought we should join. The ticket pays for everything, even the flight there and back. So you won't have to worry bout saving." Her father nodded in approval and kissed his childs cheek. "So, does that mean I can go?" She smiled hopefully clasping her hands together in a pleading way. "yes, you may go...But your mother is to not find out about this. She'll have my head and my rights. So don't post it on that facespace or mybook. Whatever the hell you kids use these days." Blake giggled and kissed her dads cheek, "Would you wanna go?" He just shook his head no and looked back at his book. "That's your 18th. I don't wanna spoil it for you by having your non cool dad around."

"Dad you're awesome! you have tattoos, you're ex-military, and you're an MMA fighter who listens to crazy ass metal! There's is nothing dorky about that. You are so going. I'm gonna talk to James to see if you could tag along with us." "You have his number?" He raised a brow questioningly like he didn't trust the man. "it's on the back of the ticket incase we have issues getting in." "Alright, go for it. But get up to bed, it's late and you have school in the morning." She smiled giddly and ran upstairs falling onto her bed trying not to wake Allie.

The next day at school, was quite rough. For some reason, everyone was out to get Allie that day. Picking on her on the bus, shoving her around in the halls, locking her in the stalls of the Men's restroom. When Blake finally reached her, she ws fuming. So much so, she was sure steam was coming from her ears. Allie cried and nuzzled into Blakes arms for comfort. When she looked up at Blake, her eyes were bloodshot, cheeks flushed and stained with salty tears as strands of hair stuck to them. "I..I don't understand. Is there a rumour going around that I don't know about? Do I look terrible today? Why pick today to do this? Blake..." Blake just stared at her friend not really knowing what to say or do. Usually she would be there with a retorical remark, or something violent, or feel the urge to kill. But this for some reason was different. "Allie, you can't let these kids get to you...Each time you..." Blake sighed and shook her head, it was going to come out mean and she knew it.

"Each time I what Blake?" She pressed stepping back. "Each tiem you show them that it hurts, they're gonna find somethin else to bash you with. If you just...If you just hid the tears for when you get home, you wouldn't be giving them the staisfaction. If you would just ignore the words and the shoves, and show 'em you're strong, they will figure out that it's not worth their time anymore and get bored. Moving to someone else." Allie stared at her friend in shock. She wasn't quite sure what Blake was saying or getting at but she knew she wasn't a fan of it. "Are you telling me that I'm being a puss?" Blake shook her head and rested her hands on her friends shoulders. "That's not at all what I'm saying Allie. I'm saying that they won't stop because they know it hurts you. They are sick people and they get off on your pain. They'll only hurt you if you show them fear or weakness."

Allie nodded and brushed past her friend without another word. Security stopped the two girls with a lgare on his face and Blake returned the look. "Excuse me, but why're you in the mens room?" Blake nudged Allie to answer him but she just stared at her feet. "Because you are so blind that you can't see that this school is full of outrageous acts like shoving girls in there to humiliate them. And you don't give two flying fucks about what happens here so don't even act like you have some authority because you don't." She grabbed Allies arm and dragged her away towards the exit of campus. But Allie fought her and pulled away. "What're you doing Blake? We can't just leave school!" "Yes. We can. And we are. Now lets go. I'm sick of this place treating you like shit and you do nothing about it. I don't mind having your back Allie but..but sometimes I can't be there to help you and you have to learn to grow up and fight for yourself and stop this crying. It's not getting you anywhere and it's not stopping them."

Allie's face fell in hurt and her eyes watered once more as Blake rolled ehr eyes grabbing her hand once more. But she yanked it away and scowled at her friend. Hurt and angered from her best friends' words and their first actual disagreement. "I'm not going with you. You can leave but I'm staying here. I want my education and no trouble Blake. When are you gonna realize I'm not like you? I don't know how to stand up for myself! I was never taught! i didn't know to grow up fast like you did! We aren't the same person Blake! You're tough and rugged and don't give a shit about anything! I'm the complete opposite! I have a heart and I have feelings and I'm not afraid to show them when someone hurts me! Unlike you!"

The veins in Allies neck were engourged and her face was flushed with anger. The words had slapped Blake in the face and she was unsure how to take it, but she just sat back and let Allie vent out her anger. "You always run from things Blake...You think violence is the answer to every situation. But it's not, it's jsut gonn get you in serious trouble one day. People are going to hurt me, yes I know that. But I'd rather show them fear and show them what they've done because that makes them realize quicker how awful they are rather than being brave and letting them turn someone else into their victim. Blake, I'm sorry, I can't be like you. I can't be tough like you I just don't have coldness in my heart for it.." Blake continued to stare at her friend blankly, trying to register the thigns that were entering her ears and stabbing at her heart. Finally, swallowing the lump in her throat she spoke. "Are you finished?" Allie shook her head and smirked sniffling away the extra tears. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm done Blake.."

With that, Blake turned on her heels and headed home to her dad's house. The only place she ever felt she belonged. Straight up to her room, she went. Turning her stereo on and blasting it making sure to give the neighbor looking outside his window the finger. She sat against her headboard and just kept to her thoughts. The Orion passes hung from a long black lanyeard on her wall next to the pictures of her and Allie. She enver cried, never even so much as thought about it. But she stood up, turning one of the passes over and dialing the hand written number on the back.

There were about three rings before a semi-deep voice answered with a firm hello. Blakes voice was shaking and she felt like hanging up on the second 'Hello.' Finally, closing her eyes breathing deep she let the words flow. "Hi, is this Mr. Hetfield?" "Yes. who is this?" "This uhm...This is Blake we met the other night at the Teen Pub. I had a friend with me..." "Ah, yes! Blake i remember you! How could I forget such a bad ass like yourself?" His voice was dripping with interest and seemed a bit..too confident. But she just smiled and tried her best to start a conversation with him. "I was calling about the tickets." "yes? What about them? Did you want to return them to me?" "Uhm..no no that's not it. I was wondering if you'd be willing to uhm..send another just for my dad...I'm sure that's not of my place to requ--" "That won't be a problem Blake..Just give me your address and i'll deliver it personally to your father." "Oh uhm..well thank you Mr. Hetfield." "please, call me James..You make me feel old when you call me that. Besides Ms. Blake, how old are you anyway?" Blake nearly shuddered at the question. What business would he need for her age? She thought. "I uhm...I'm 17. Turning 18 in a week..Why you ask?" "Well, that's great then. We can't recruit anyone under the age of 18 because of the contents of the festival and contests..We had a few mistakes last night and had to retrieve a lot more passes from students who were...16 and under.." "Guess you guys are terrible with guessing age..Or you just rushed it.." Blake was hoping her mouth kept that in her head.

But he just chuckled and Blake thought it sounded much more like a low growl and quickly blushed a deep red. "Well, maybe you're right Blake. Tell me, is your friend Allie going to tag along with you like planned?" Blake was confused, why was he asking me all these weird questions? First my age, now speaking as if it was a plan to have both of us there...What was going on? "Uhm, yeah I'm pretty sure she's going with me and my father. Uhm Mr..I mena James..?" he chuckled once more and sighed softly, "Yes?" "When did you uhm...when did you wanna drop off that pass for my dad?" It was a daring question but surely Blake meant nothing by it. "Well, whenever you would like me to. I can come by this evening, or I can come by tomorrow mornig. Your choice." Blake smiled to herself biting her lip gently as she thought of ways to approach this. She must have been silent for quite some time because James started to call for her on the other end of the line. "Oh..uhm sorry. I got a bit--distracted. My dad works real late tonight, and I have school in the morning, but if you'd like, you can come by now, I'm home. Or same time tomorrow afternoon." She could hear the smile in his voice as he agreed to come by this afternoon around 3. They hung up with a friendly goodbye and Balke felt like jumping around in her room.

But the thought of if she should invite Allie over now to experience it with her soon made her mood fade to gloom. They never spoke that harshly to each other. It was so truthful and powerful. Not that they ever lied to each other or anything, but they had never been that direct with their feelings. Blake shook off the thought and sent Allie a text. 'Hey Alles, I just called up James and he said he'd be more than willing to drop off a ticket for my dad..i figured maybe youd wanna come by and see him this afternoon, cause that's when hes dropping it off. hell be here at 3..love you' She tapped the send button on her Iphone and set it on her desk laying back on her bed. Her room was a mess but she had no urge to clean, she had tons of homework, but that too sickened her. She felt as if she just wanted to nap and wallow in her hurt from Allie's words. Maybe this is what it feels like to have someone point you out...Maybe this is what it feels like when you experience emotion..she thought. She closed her eyes and tried to breathe slowly, trying to calm her heart rate.

Blake awoke an hour or so later, checking the clock to make sure she still had enough time to get showered and dressed before James arrived with her fathers' ticket. She crawled off her bed, retrieving her ohone and checking it for a new message. Yes! You answered! She thought giddly and opened the message where her smile faded. 'Blake, I'm not even sure what's going on but..I don't think I even wanna go anymore..I love you I do, but today was..It was roguh between us and we said things that I'm not sure you meant but I did. I'll come by, and maybe we can talk about the situation and get over it like we always have, but tell don't try and sugar coat me anymore...If you're gonna be a bitch just do it...don't hide how you really feel just because you have to. I'll be down there by 230...see ya'

Blake replied with a simple okay, thank you and set her phone back down on the table going and showering. When she finished getting dressed and cleaning up a bit, the clock read 215. Allie would be here soon and she had hoped thirty minutes would be enough time to talk things out before James arrived. She paced around the empty house passing time til Allie walked inside shutting the door with a slight slam, causing her to jump. Blake smiled shortly at her friend and Allie returned the favor. "So...Did you uhm--wanna talk?" Allie shyed away looking down at her feet. She never was confrontational, Blake thought.

"Okay, I'll start then..I am sorry Allie for hurting you the way I did. But I honestly meant every word I said. I love you and i love protecting you but sometimes..it's just I wonder why you won't straighten up and put your own foot in someone's teeth. I mean, I tought you to fight for a reason, I guess I just wanted to tell you that I won't always be able to get to your side to help you when someone gangs up on you. I have your back, but you gotta have your own as well." Blakes expression matched Allies sad one and her eyes pleaded for a response but all that came was Allie twirling her toe on the tile. "Are you gonna say anything?" She asked softly. Allie finally looked at her and made eye contact. Her tone gentle and sweet. "I will speak when I have something to say Blake. But right now, I don't.." She looked back down and continued to twirl her toe on the ground and they stayed there in silence for a long moment then she finally looked up at Blake and smiled softly.

"I understand what you mean, and I appreciate the honesty. I know it's tough handling me sometimes and always having to protect me, but I'm learning to do it own my own. At least, I'm trying to..Its just gonna take me more time than what you want it to. And I'm sorry for that." Blake rushed to her friend and hugged her tight. "Don't you be sorry Alles. Ever, you don't need to apologize it's all my fault. I'm sorry." Allie smiled against Blakes shoulder, pulliung away and kissing her friends' cheek. "Well, I'm glad we settled that before James got here." Her smile was devious and Blake just stepped back trying not to laugh. "He's just dropping off a ticket Alles. Nothing more. Dropping it off, and leaving." She watched her friend shake her head and smile evily like she didn't believe her. "Right. And you asked me here why?" "Because I want you to experience him up close and personal with me." "Woaho! I don't role like sweetheart." Blake laughed and shoved her friend playfully. "Shut up you perv. I don't think of him like that and you know it!" "Whatever!"

3 o'clock rolled around, and just on the dot, James fist knocked on the solid white door. A ticket in his pocket, and a smile on his face. The two girls answered smiling softly and letting him inside as to be polite. "So, this is for your dad, be sure he gets it." James handed Blake the ticket. "I'm trusting that it's not a scheme to drag one of your buddies along." He chuckled with a kidding smile on his face knowing whole heartedly that they would never do such a thing. "I swear it's for him. Do the same rules apply to him that apply to us? As far as everything being paid for? I wanna make sure he's not left out on any experiences with us." Blake stated firmly. "It's all there. Just as yours' are. He will recieve equal treatment. Fair, just how it should be." James smiled and Allie quickly turned running upstairs hiding in what Blake assumed was her bedroom. James' eyes followed her friends running form and chuckled softly.

"She jsut shy and embarrassed." She stated flatly. "You must get tired of females looking at you for only your appearence." She turned and went into the kitchen setting the ticket on the counter. But when she turned, James was standing directly in front of her. She found it a bit odd, and quite rude that he would dare follow someone he didn't know around their house. "Well, yes. Being married and all, it does get quite annoying to see female fans only listen to me cause I'm like some...god to them. But you get over it and realize who you come home to every night and you learn to enjoy it." Blake wondered a moment as he spoke, So you didn't enjoy going home to your wife before? That what you're saying? She nearly giggled at her thoughts but kept it inside letting a simple smile come out heading back towards the front door. "Well, thank you again Mr. Hetfield for doing this for my dad. We really do love your music and we look forward to participating in your festival and the contests." Blake found that her smile was over friendly and quickly put it away.

As James stepped toward her, she felt he was much more larger in person and coward slightly. His hand patted her shoulder in a friendly manner, smiling down at her grabbing the knob with his free hand. "And I look forward to seeing you kick some ass in that pit contest. Enjoy the rest of your day and I hope to see you soon. If not, I'll see you at the festival." He winked and just as quickly as he arrived, he left. Blake stood there dumb founded at his words. What in the hell did he mean by 'see you soon if not at the festival?! She shook her head and ran up to her room, finding Allie on her laptop smiling. "Hey! Thanks for leaving me stranded down there with him!" She laughed and sat next to her. "What're you doing anyway?" Allie turned the screen to Blake where an article was pinned up in a tab that in big bold letters read METALLICA.COM. She smiled at Allie shoving her shoulder, "Yes I'm a member. So what." "So what?! Blake look!" She scrolled down further where there was a link, they clicked and up popped a page that when they read had the girls shocked.

ORION FESTIVAL SCHEDULED FOR POSSIBLE CANCELING WHILE FRONTMAN JAMES HETFIELD WORKS THROUGH DIVORCE WITH WIFE OF 16 YEARS FRANCESCA. Read more to find the details released by Hetfield himself and Drummer and best friend Lars Ulrich. The two girls looked at each other worried and Blake thought back to what he had said earlier about the drooling females he dealt with all the time. "Allie, maybe this is a bunch of crap...you can never trust these damn things." Allie shook her head and scrolled to the bottom of the articel where a date was printed. "It was posted last night by Lars and james Blake. I don't think the festival wouold be canceled seeing as they are handing out tickets, but I also think he really is going through a divorce...I didn't see a ring on his finger unless you did.." Blake nodded and swallowed a large lump in her throat. Maybe Allie was right...Maybe the website and the article were real...

The week went by quicker than the two girls had expected. And sure enough, it was Blakes' 18th night and her father, Allie, and her were circled around the table as a waiter brought them fried ice cream with a tiny blue candle burning on top of it. She blew it out and smiled as her dad snapped photos. The car ride home, was interesting and quite fun. They left the windows down and her dad turned the radio on blast as Master of Puppets beat through the speakers. Allie and her leaned out the windows and screamed the lyrics out into the wind. When they finally returned home, it was around midnight and Blake took Allie's hand leading her up to her bedroom. Sighing and falling back onto the bed she laughed breathlessly. "That was the best birthday I've ever had!" She exclaimed.

Allie sat next to her and smiled broadly. "It was really amazing Blake. I haven't seen you that happy since the day your dad got you your truck on your 16th." They giggled and started a small wrestling match. Rolling off the bed onto the floor and into Blakes' beaureu. They hollered with laughter as things fell from the shelves on top of their backs and heads. "Can you believe the festival is just tomorrow?! And we'll be leaving in like...9 hours?!" Blake was all excited, her hands were shaking and her chest heaved as she tried catching ehr breath from the fit of laughter. "I know Allie! I'm super excited to get there and show them guys what's up in the pit!" Allie laughed and shoved her friend to the ground. "Blake, those guys are probably gonna be twice your size! you'll come out of there destroyed!" Blake shook her head, "Psh nah. We been doing this too long to let a man push us around." They laughed oncce more and undressed down into their pjs crawling into bed. "Goodnight Allie." "Goodnight Blake." With that, Blake killed the lights and cuddled next to her friend closing her eyes and drifting to sleep.

THE ARRIVAL IN JERSEY
They arrived at the airport just after 14:00 and looked around for where to go. James had sent her countless texts telling her to look for him, what he'd be wearing, and which terminal he'd be waiting at. When they finally found him, Blake introduced her father and James and led them out to a blacked out Dodge Challenger with a single white pin stripe down the middle. Blake gazed at the car with glazed eyes before james ushered her into the back seat. They drove for an hour before they reached a large hotel and were escorted up to a suite with an ocean side view from the balcony. While Blakes' father and Allie surveyed the rest of the room, James stood on the balcony with a breathless Blake. "James, you really didn't have to do all this..." "It's fine really..You have been real sweet and kind and your dad told me what a great kid you and Allie were and I figured it was worth it." Blake stared at him blankly not really knowing what else to say.

"James..? Did the other contestants get this kind of treatment?" He sighed and looked down. "No. They did not. But that's because we know that the majority of them are just going so they can be noticed." "And what makes you think that's not Allie and I's intentions?" He laughed a nearly cruel laugh and shook his head. "Your dad informed me of everything child. I know you're here cause you've never been to one of our concerts and because you like to prove yourself to others. So trust me, you deserve this." He rested a hand on her arm and she did everything not to pull from his touch. She just nodded and accepted his answer with not another word. His arm dropped when the footsteps of her father could be heard entering the room and he leaned against the railing smiling at her father.

"Hey dad." She gulped out. "Hey sweetie. Mr. Hetfield, this is a bit..much..Don't you think?" Blake looked at her feet before moving to her fathers side. "No, I don't. You guys are good people. I like my guests to be comfortable." Her dad nodded and patted his daughters back whispering a command for her to say her thank you's and he once more, left them alone together. Suddenly she felt uncomfortable and mumbled her thank you, keeping her eyes on her black boots. She looked up and James was directly in front of her with a cute smile on his face, his hand reaching up to brush the hair from her face. "You're welcome Blake." With that, his hand dropped and he brushed past her letting her intoxicate herself with his strong cologne.

It was Friday night, the show started tomorrow at 11:00am and Blake sat in her bed wondering if this was such a good idea. James wasn't at all what she expected and he definitely didn't act like he did in the interviews she had seen. What is this? What have we gotten ourselves into? She thought. She decided to just turn out her light, and curl under the covers in hopes to get some sleep. Allie and her father had been placed in the rooms on the pther side of the suite which made her feel somewhat alone. She had wished her father had taken this room instead. But he insisted on her having the ocean view.

After seeing every hour of the night, Blake rose to her feet, pulled on her boots and made her way out of the room and down into the club part of the hotel. She chilled for a moment at one of the tables and soon froze when she noticed a familiar haircut and tattoo come into her line of sight. James...What's he doing here? She tried her best to hide behind her menu but knew he had caught her eye. Blushing softly when he took a seat next to her leaning on his forearms on the table. "Why aren't you in bed?" "Why aren't you in bed?" She retorted. He chuckled and hung his head, "You haven't been very...wamr towards me since I met you..Do I upset you or something?" Blake blkushed deeper, no you disgust me yet make me feel real good. "No...you're just overly nice...I'm not used to seeing that side of you I guess." He gave her a questioning look, "What do you mean, that side of me?" "I don't know...Just, I watched a lot of interviews with my friends trying to get to know what you and this band was all about. I know that sounds crazy and stalkerish but it's true. You just seemed like a normal guy. But actually meeting you, it's like you're trying too hard to be nice to me or something. Like you owe me." Blake noticed him nod from the corner of her eye and smiled to herself.

"I see...Well, I am just a normal guy and I am nice. But all this, that I've given to you and your dad and Allie, that is me. It's me being me. And I enjoy itand I hope you do too." Blake smiled looking him in the eye for the first time that day. "Well, I do. ANd I'm very grateful. But if I asked for something more simpler and smaller would you give it to me?" He chuckled and shook his head. "That's as small as you get here in this hotel. It's one of the finest even if it wasn't, even if it was just a motel, I'd still give you the biggest room. But that is the smallest room here though it don't seem like it to you." Blake nodded slightly confused but joyed at his kind heart. "So what are you doing here this late at night?" He questioned. "I can't sleep. I think I'm just over excited for tomorrow and what not..So I decided to just come down here in hopes that a meal would make me sleepy." "Well would you mind if I joined you in that meal?" "Haven't you already?" She eyed raising a brow smirking softly. He chuckled once more, "Yeah I guess I have. I apologize for inviting myself in such a way. Feel free to dismiss me if you're uncomfortable." "No, you can stay. I don't really like being alone in an unfamiliar place anyway. But I have to eat quick cause my dad will wake up in about an hour and come check on me." "He's a good father doing that." "Yeah, he's always been there." It was a subject that was touchy for her and to most people, she would've replied with something more short and less truthful. But with James' company, she felt safe and like she could trust him. though, there were still doubts about everything in the back of her head.

They must have sat there sharing a plate of wings and laughing for over an hour when finally she yawned and placed her towel on her plate. "I think I'm finally tired." She giggled. James smiled at her and checked his watch. "You'll wanna sleep all day and end up missing the show.." "Nah, I'll be fine. I'll go nap, set my alarm couple hours before and drink lots of coffee. I'll be fine. Trust me, ain't my first run at an all nighter." They laughed once more and he took her hand helping her out of the booth. "C'mon, I'll walk you to your room." He smiled a charming smile and they made their way back up to her room. The elevator ride was quite silent and full of awkward shifting on James' part but Blake just giggled and tried her best not to stare at his neck tatttoo.

When they reached her room, she leaned on her shoulder against the heavy cream colored door. "Well, thank you once again for...all this and dinner.." She smiled shyly ducking her head away from his blue gaze. "You're more than welcome Blake. I'm sure I'll see you at the show wandering around or something. Oh, and I'm sending my assitant Ray over to come get you guys and escort you so that you won't have to wait in traffic or in any type of major crowd." He smiled sweetly and blake kept focus on her boots smiling. "Thank you." She practically whispered. She felt his finger underneath her chin, lifting her face to stare him in the eyes. "You'll be dropped off behind the main stage, I'll text you directions to all the tents so you know at least partly where you're going. The mosh contest will start when we come on and tonight while we observe, we'll call out names and crown those for the night and they'll recieve specail treatment." His smile was nearly hypnotizing and Blake tried her best not to fall asleep right there and to pay attention. "Well, I guess I won't have to try very hard then..I'm already getting special treatment." She smirked. He returned the glare and chuckled darkly.

"Well, trust me, this will be better than what you're getting right now. I promise. So still try hard and just have fun." "I always do." She retorted shortly. "Goodnight, Blake." "Goodnight James." She whispered once more. He leant down and kissed her cheek gently and turned on his heels walking down the hall and into the elevator, offering her one more wave and smile before the metal doors slid closed. She smiled to herself and made her way inside quietly. Her dad was waiting on the couch in the living room with a look of worry on his face. He quickly rose to his feet and made his way towards his daughter. "Where have you been? I thought something happened to you!" He exclaimed fearfully. "I was just down at the dinner area having a plate of wings. I couldn't sleep so I figured a meal would help." He sighed relieved and hugged her tight. "next time, leave me a note, or come wake me up and I'll make something for you. I don't want you wandering around a place that we don't know anything about." His tone was firm but careful not to be rude. He kissed her cheek and pushed her off to her room where she sat up the rest of the time til her alarm went off at 9:30.

When she looked in the mirror, brushing her teeth, the remnants of last nights make up had faded to dark circles under her eyes and the whites of her eyeballs were shot with thin blood lines. She sighed and knew today wopuld last forever. Allie came into the bathroom a little too cheery and took a spot next to her friend brushing her own teeth. They finished together and Allie spoke first. "Your dad says you were out last night. Said you worried him sick. Where'd you go?" "I went down to the dinner area to have some grub to help me sleep." Allie eyed her cautiously. "Why gone so long?" Blake sighed and knew she wasn't getting out of this one very easily.

"Well, I went down there and you won't believe it but, unfortunately mr. James caught my eye, and invited himself to sit down. We chatted, and laughed over a plate of wings, and he wlaked me back up to my room, kissed my cheek and left." The last part came out quite quickly but Allie still managed to catch it. She squeeled and hugged Blake tightly. "Allie...Allie let go of me...I've had no sleep and I'm not in the mood for all the energy." Allie let go and smiled at her friend, "You were kissed on the cheek by your idol! How are you not jumping?!" Blake just growled and stared at her "I just told you. I haven't had any. Sleep." She exited the bathroom on that note and gathered her dad in the living room. "Dad, apparently, some guy named Ray is supposed to grab us at 10:30 and take us to the main stage and we can roam around the grounds from there." "First off, who's Ray? And what about this moshing contest that you spoke of?"

Blake sighed and rubbed her head, "The contest is during Metallica's gig and they pretty much announce a winner for that night and they get 'special treatment' the rest of the weekend. And I guess Ray is James' assistant." Her father eyed her quizacly. "How did you find this out?" She looked down and dug her toe into the carpet. "I had dinner with James last night..." His eyes went wide and she watched his cheeks redden. "But dad, it wasn't like that. I told you the truth, I went down there for some grub and he just...invited himself to sit down and we ended up chatting and sharing a plate of wings. That's all and he let me know all of this when he walked me back up here." "that's all that happened? His grimy, rockstar paws didn't touch you?" Blake nearly shook at his tone, her father had never pulled the protective father move on her. Not even with her own boyfriends. He usually just kept quiet. "No..No he didn't. I mean, he grabbed my hand to help me up from the table cause I was so tired, but other than that, no touching." She watched Allie shift awkwardly from the corner of her eye knowing that she was lying.

"Good. I'll kill him if he ever touches you..I don't care who he is. No one touches my baby gir." Blake smiled softly and kissed her dads cheek. C'mon Allie, lets go get ready." She pulled her friend by the arm into her room and locked the door. Immeadiately the questions started from her friend. "Why didn't you tell your dad he kissed your cheek? he wouldn't ffreak out." "Are you kidding me?! Yes he would! You heard him out there! Look, it's none of his business anyway.." "Blake, he's your father. He cares about you...You should tell him, I mean what's the harm in a kiss on the cheek?" Blake sighed, Allies tone was warning and she didn't wanna tell her dad. Though it really didn't m,ean any harm, she jsut didn't want her dad to take it the wrong way, like he often did with things.

They got dressed and ready just in time to hear Ray knock on the door loudly and quite rudely. When blake answered he just grimaced at her and ushered them to the same black Charger that they had rode in on the way to the hotel the other afternoon. They all sat together in the back silently as Ray drove, constantly flipping through the radio stations. Blake awkwardly shifted as her phone buzzed in her pocket, pulling it out a text from James appeared on the screen. She smiled to herself, picturing his voice as she read the message. 'Hey Blake Just wanted to check if Ray picked you up okay and let me know when you get to the main stage. I need to talk to you privately about somethings.' She smiled and responded quickly, 'Yes Ray picked us up and we're on our way. About 10 minutes from the main stage. What is it you have to speak to me about?' Before she could rest her phone back in her pocket, she recieved yet another message from James. Instead of answering it, she slipped her phone in her pocket and got out of the car as they arrived to the main stage.

Pulling her phone out once more and reading his message, 'Alright and you'll find out when you get here.' She smiled and just as she was about to reply, her dad cleared his throat for her attention. "Yeah?" She questioned blankly. "You gonna put your phone away and have a good time with us?" Blake quietly set her phone back in her pocket and looked down from her fathers slight glare. "Sorry." She whispered. She felt Allie take her arm kindly and start walking her towards a large white tent. "Why don't we go see Kirk's Crypt first? Is that okay?" Allie looked at her father for approval. He nodded yes and gestured towards his hip in silent question if Blake had Her 9mm. She nodded and smiled waving him off. "So, who was you textin Blake?" Allie smiled at her suggestively. "James actually. Wanted to know if we were picked up and if he could speak to him." Allies blue eyes lit up with excitement and stopped her friend in her tracks. "Talk about what?!" "I don't know..He just asked me to meet him by the main stage when we got there. I was about to tell him I was coming when dad gave me the look."

Allie nearly screamed and turned her friend around by the shoulders ushering her back to the main stage. "Allie! Allie wait! He wanted to speak alone...But I don't agree with that. Will you hide behind one of the amps just in case?" She looked at her friend worriedly over her shoulder to find her nodding approvingly. "Of course. I got your back if he tries anything smooth." The playful galre made Blake laugh and they walked back towards the drop off point where Allie scurried behind some Marshalls peeking out to see. Blake pulled out her phone and as she typed out 'I'm here.' a hand rested on her shoulder and she jumped turning quickly only to find a giggling James.

"James you scared me!" She stepped back letting his hand fall from her shoulder. "I'm sorry! I saw you come up, and I figured I'd surprise you." He chuckled once more and eyes her hip as his smile faded. She followed his gaze, and a smile creeped on her face. "Yeah, don't fuck with me." She taunted. "What do you need that for?" "Dad says I need it when I go to big events. And he's right. I like having it cause creepy old men stay away from me. Except you of course." She raised a brow as she continued her banter. He simply plastered a shit eating grin on his face, and retorted, "Maybe pretty girls like you shouldn't be in this scene." "And maybe men like you shouldn't subject the 'scene' to only rugged looking women." She glared back and his reared back in laughter. "You are quite the smart ass." "And you are quite the creeper." They laughed together and he stepped closer to her. "What did you uhm..wanna talk about that had to be in private?" She nearly whispered. "I wanna take you out to dinner...But I was afraid that if I asked you in front of your dad, he'd try and have my ass on a silver platter." She giggled thinking of what her dad said earlier.

"My dad would have you dead if you so much as touched me." "Why's that? I'm not a bad guy." "You're a rock star. He understands people like you and I don't blame him." The smiles soon faded and James stepped back like he was rethinking his decision. "Look, I'll go to dinner with you, but you have to tell me where to meet you and at what time. I'll sneak out." "So naive." "No, I just wanna have fun." "I see, well then. Meet me at the dinner area in the hotel at midnight." "Why so late, and so original?" "Because that way if you need to get back quickly, you're close and late because I'm sure your dad will be asleep by midnight. He looks like the early type." "Ah, right you are my friend about that. And it sounds good. I'll see you there." She smiled and before brushing past her, he brushed his lips against her cheek causing her to shiver and blush in embarrassment knowing Allie was watching carefully but couldn't hear.

She stood there with her back to James as he walked off, and when all was clear, Allie rushed out with a mile long grin plastered on her face. "That's the second time Blake! What did he say to you? i couldn't hear from back there." "He..he wants to go to dinner. Tonight, at midnight in the dinner area of the hotel...Allie thi--" Shut up, you're going and I'm helping you get ready for it! you hear me?!" "Yeah, buu--" "No buts lady. lets go have some fun and get into that pit. Metallica starts soon anyway and we have a contest to attend." She smiled and grabbed Blakes arm dragging her back into the ,ess of the crawd making their way straight for the pit. They were nonetheless the only females in the circle and it quickly started.

Arms flailing with legs and hair as bodies relentlessly slammed into each other. Balke nearly feared going in there especially with her side arm. She always worried with that thing. If it was going to discharge, or if someone would slip it out from her holster, but she knew it was indeed her only protection in there and that it was for sure on safety and there wa no round in the chamber. She always made sure of that. She grabbed Allies are and asked her if she was ready. They nodded at each other and as quick as they found an opening they both jumped in and began the swinging and punching cycle that the men had. Every so often Blake would find her way over to Allie to double check on her, makin sure she was doin okay, and Allie returned the favor to Blake. But the third time Blake turned around in search for Allie, she watched a grown man much bigger than the two girls slam into her knocking her to the floor. Blake did her best to rush over and help her up asking if she was alright. Allie gave a solid nod and pulled away to get her revenge.

They moshed for a long while til Metallica finally came on stage and there they stood shining in their all black gear as the numerous amounts of fans cheered and rooted for them to play. James let out one of his famous 'Oh yeahs' and the crowd bellowed one back. An hour into the set James started to taunt the crowd of moshers including Blake and Allie while Lars, Kirk, and Rob fiddled around with the instruments playing weird tunes. "Guys are gettin shown up! Looks like these two girls got it down! But there can only be one winner! Who's it gonna be ladies?!" Blake didn't even try and glimpse up at the stage, she just kept throwing the other guys around til the crowd slowly dispersed and Allie and a few other men were left. Blake suddenly felt the pressure of being criticized and being in the lime light. The last thing she wanted was to show up a man so she let one of the bigger boys check her into the 'wall' of fans as hard as he could leaving Allie out there to fumble around.

She followed Allie's form with her eyes the best she could, but the constant speed, the heat, her tiredness, and the loud music disoriented her no matter how hard she tried to fight it. She reached out and by chance, had grabbed hold of Allie strongly pulling her to her chest and yelling in her ear. "Allie, we need to go." "Why?! i'm having fun Blake!" "I know, I was too, but I just..I don't feel very good right now. Somethings wrong." Something was wrong, she was dehydrated, bruised and bleeding somewhere on her body. Allie noticed her state quickly and took her hand dragging her to the safety of marshal amps. They bipassed security flashing their tags and sitting behind a large black amp. "What's wrong? You really don't look good Blake." Blakes head bobbed from side to side and her eyes fluttered open and closed. "I just...I'm so.." she sighed and Allie patted her heek gently, catching some man with a STAFF shirt on attention. "Hey! you! Sir, can you bring me some water!!! My friend is sick!" the guy nodded and brought back with him an EMT that just seemed to pound Blake with questions of her state. "I'm just tired..." "No sweetie, you have heat stroke..Lets get you into some A/C." Allie grabbed the guys arm worriedly, "Is she gonna be alright? Can I go with her?" The emt nodded and a yes to both questions and led the girls down into the lockers behind the stage putting a cool blowing fan on blake and feeding her fluids through an IV.

Before she knew it, she was waking up and feeling ten times better, but slightly frightened. This wasn't the hotel room, and this IV did not belong in her. When she tried to pull it out, Allies hand grabbed hers. "No, you need those." "Why? What happened Allie?" "We were moshing and you fainted. EMT said you got heat stroke. Your dad took your side arm up to the hotel and--" She was cut off when heavy footsteps came running into the room. Blake looked lazily to the side to find a blurry looking James Hetfield coming at her. She flinched and coward into Allie. But Allie just pushed her back onto the bed and let James sit next to her. "Are you okay?! What happened?!" Allie explained to him the situation and he cautiously ran his fingers through her sweaty, matted hair. "I won't leave.." He sounded like a concerned boyfriend and Blake just continued to move away from his touch. "Blake, blake it's okay..." He tried to reassure her but she really wasn't having it. She smacked his hand away from her hair and glared at him. "Blake, he's just being friendly...Relax." James stayed silent while Allie did her best to relax her friend.

As the hours passed and Blake slept, James remained by her side with Allie close by. "Why do you care so much about a 18 yr old girl that you met not a month ago?" James snapped his head to look at her. "I..I don't know..I just don't want her getting hurt I guess." "That didn't answer my wuestion. She told me you kissed her cheek and how you invited herself to her dinner and I watched you kiss her cheek a second time. Just exactly what are you up to hetfield?" He grimaced at her defensively and sighed. "I'm just trying to protect her. I'm not into young girls, I have a wife..and kids. Besides, that would kind of pervy don't you think? To wanna sleep with someone who's 18?" He glared back and Allie shushed it. "Her dad will kill you if he finds out you're taking her to dinner without his permission." "She's an adult. She can make her own choices, and it's not like I'm forcing her. I understand if she wants to say no or back out. I won't be hurt." He stated honestly. "Honestly Het, you're a bad ass rocker and we love you..Well, she does anyway. But I don't trust you anywhere near her by yourselves. Regardless if she's 18. You're still a man, and she's still a hormonal girl."

James nodded trying not to smile at her thought. "I agree with you and I don't have an issue with dragging you along if you really don't trust me. It's good that you're this protective of her. Everyone needs someone like you as their friend." "Yeah well, she'd do the exact same for me. We look after each other. But I don't think she'd be to happy with me showing up at dinner. So you go ahead and be with her. But If I hear that your grimy little paws touched anything but your napkin and fork, I'll castrate you with her steak knife." James eyes widened at the threat and he felt the sudden urge to leave. Standing, he smoothed his shirt and jeans. "Have a good night Allie, and I'm sure I'll see you around. Remind Blake about dinner for me and tell her to text me if she has second thoughts.

It was around 11:30 when they got back up to the hotel room, and Blake only had 30 minutes to get ready and down to the dinner area. Allie kept by her side, locking them inside Blakes' room silently as her dad slept. "Blake, you don't have to go you know that right? You can stay here and rest." "You think I'm going alone Allie?" Allie eyed her confused, "What do you mean?" "I'm not stupid, Allie. You're going with. Just stay a table or so away..But still in each others sight. I don't trust being alone with him no more than you trust him alone with me..Yeah, I was awake while you guys were speaking. And I gotta say my favorite part was the whole castrating threat. That was pretty cold.." They both giggled and Blake sat on the bed. "I really wanna go.." "Then go get ready..Just be yourself and stay relaxed. I'll leave your dad a note saying we went to dinner with just each other.." Blake nodded and went into the bathroom cleaning herslef up. She figured there was no use, nor time to get ready so she'd just wear to dinner what she wore to the show. Jeans, boots, and the black tank top.

She left before Allie, and sat herself at the same table she was at the other night. Scanning the room anxiously for Allie and James, finally seeing Allie walk in nonchalantly and grabbing a table a few yards away. She searched once more and tapped her fingers twice letting Allie know he had entered the room. She nodded and hid behind her menu discretely. James quickly found Blake and sat himself down next to her. "Glad you came. I was worried you wouldn't show." "Why's that?" "Well, you looked pretty beat up and I was hoping you'd try and rest yourself up." "So you want me to go?" "No! No, not at all..I just wanna make sure you're doing alright." "Well, I'm fine. Thank you for observing me." "You seem a bit cold this evening." "I'm sorry...I just..I don't go out with men James.." "It's just dinner..That's all I ever wanted it to be." Blake nodded feeling foolish to think that it was anything more.

As they ordered their meals, and talked music, laughing about fangirls, and discussing guitars, James let his hand fall to her thigh and Blakes response to the conversation stopped abruptly. Tapping her fingers 3 times letting Allie know he touched her. She looked down at his hand then backl up at his smiling face. "Is this okay?" "No." He quickly removed his hand and looked down at the table. "Can I be honest with you Blake?" "Well, yeah. I hope that's all you've been since we met." He smiled, "Well of course. Now, you're a really pretty woman, and very mature and fun to hang around. But I think I..I think I like you..And not just in the sexual way that I'm sure you were thinking this was all about. But in a...I guess you could say relationship kind of way..And I totally understand if you say no and never see me again." "Is this what all these nice things are about?" "Yes." "Is there even a mosh contest?" "No." I found you at that club and found you attractive and just so...badass." "So you haven't been honest with me the whole time? Is what you're saying right?""Yeah, that is what I'm saying." "Wow. Well then."

James looked at her confused, nearly shocked that she didn't show any signs of anger or frustration. "dinner can be over if you want to go." He offered kindly. But instead Blake placed a shaky hand on his upper thigh and squeezed gently causing him to jump slightly. He smiled at her, "Or not." He whispered. Balke tapped her fingers 4 times letting Allie know, all was well and it was okay for her to go. She watched as Allie read and stood making way for the door cautiously taking one more look back at her being offered a friendly smile and nod. Blake turned back to James who must've caught what was going on cause he smiled at her in shock his mouth hanging open slightly. "You're friend was here watching?" He laughed. "Yeah, she's watching my back." "Why were you tapping your fingers? Was she watching that too? Like a signal?" Blake giggled and squeezed his thigh once more watching him jump. "It's morse code." "You gonna tell me what you told her?" Blake smile, "Nope."

By the end of dinner the two were facing each other, her hand on his thigh and his on her hers, smiling and enjoying each others company. They laguhed about countless things and got serious over music. Blake took a daring move and reached for his beer. "You're under age member?" "You're sober member?" They laughed once more and Blake caught the scent of the honey flavored beer on his lips when she leaned close to him. Her eyes fluttered shut and she leaned on the hand on his thigh letting her nose gently brush his cheek. "Smells good het." He smiled his own eyes closing. "What does?" "The beer on your breath." She whispered he chuckled and nuzzled her back with his nose. "Can I have a taste?" She whispered against his lips before gently brushing them across his. "Go for it." He breathed softly.

She rested her hand on his hip kissing him softly and slowly, letting him suck her lip and tug on it playfully with his teeth. His hand remained on her thigh respecting her, but he let her hand roam over her belly, acorss his chest, over his shoulder, and finally taking a rest place on the side of his neck. He could feel her thumb trace the skull of the tattoo there and he moaned quietly in her mouth as their tongues met and danced playfully for control. She could taste the honey beer and smell his cologne as she kissed him and her hand felt every muscle under his shirt before settling on his neck to touch the smooth skin of his neck. She felt her stomach flip when he moaned as she moved her thumb and gently reached out biting his lip gently.

When he pulled away, she knew she had tugged his lip enough for people to see and she let go as he smiled at her. "you're a pretty good kisser Blake." She smiled blushing softly, "you aren't so bad yourself." They both chuckled and he grabbed her hand from his neck sliding it down his chest and over his stomach til it touched the button of his jeans. "You want to?" He smiled charmingly and though she should have declined, she could do nothing but accept his offer. He smiled once more and leant in to kiss her softly. Her hand tugged at the waist of his jeans as his slipped up her leg and pressing his fingers to her the middle of her jeans making her jump and sigh breaking their kiss. He chuckled darkly and whispered agianst her ear, "lets get out of here. My room is just down the hall from yours. It'll be safe I promise."

"You're married." She stated blatantly. "And you're hungry for more." He was right and she had nothing else to fall back on. Thought she was sure he'd let her go if she insisted but she didn't. She just smiled and took his hand quickly leading him to the elevator pressing the floor number on the panel and kissing him lustfully until it dinged. She pulled him playfully down the hall giggling all the while as he tried to put his paws on her in hopes to catch her. "room 313." He laughed and she she pulled him against her when she hit the door with her back. "Where's your key?" She smiled deviously running her hands along his chest down the front of his pants over his pockets then back behind him on his ass squeezing gently when she found the rectangular card. She slipped her hand inside and pulled it from his pocket slipping it into the slot waiting for the beep unlocking the door.

The stumbled inside, lips locked in a tongue-tangled kiss, limbs fumbling with each others clothes, desperately trying to pull them off. Blake pulled away for a moment and slowly unbuttoned her jeans, pushing him down til he hit the bed letting him watch her. This wasn't her first rodeo with teasing or sex, she slipped her thumbs under the waist band of her jeans and tunred her back to him, bending over provacatively as she slid the denim down her long tanned legs and stepped out of 'em. Whe she turned back to face him, James hand was rested in his lap, squeezing his erection and chewing on his lip. She hooked her fingers under her shirt and pulled it over her shoulders overly arching her torso back as she let it drop to the floor. He groaned as his eyes struggled tos tay open. she waltzed over to him and ran her hands over his shoulders and down the sides of his arms. "I think..you should rid yourself of these restrictions." She smiled

James nodded smiling in a dazed way as he stood and rid himself of everything but his briefs. He let her observe his body as she had let him of hers. 'You like?" She smiled and nodded in approval stepping close and reaching between them grabbing hold of his erect member squeezing him gently and sliding her palm across his aching length. He groaned shifted his hips agains her hand wanting more. Pulling her close by the hips, his forefinger and thumb played with the wasit band string of her thong. Pulling it down and tugging it to the side. "I like these." He stated darkly in her ear making her shudder. She stepped back and stared at him with glazed over eyes. "Take 'em off for me?" She asked innocently. He slid them down her legs, kneeling to a crouching postion and letting his hands slide back up her legs as he kissed her middle, sucking just under her naval.

She sighed, tangling her fingers in his short hair tugging what she could of it. She felt him smile against her skin and his teeth graze along teasingly. He sighed once more as he kissed at her hip bones. "You smell really good baby." She smiled and pulled him up gently by the hair letting him unclasp her bra. "Why thank you. You happen to smell not so bad yourself." He chuckled kissing her slowly. "Mm, I showered before dinner." "Funny, I only sprayed body spray. " She giggled and pushed him back onto the bed crawling over him resting her hands on his chest for balance as she nipped and sucked at his neck tracing the thick ink of tattoo. He groaned and writhed under her sliding his hands down her back and to her rear squeezing it firmly and smacking it once, then twice. She moaned against his neck, "More baby.." He slapped her again harder this time and she arched her back. Sliding her hands down to the waist band of his briefs she tugged gently. "You gonna remove these so I can have you?" He smiled wrapping an arm around her waist and rolled them til he leant over her tiny frame. standing he slipped his briefs from his hips, down to the floor, stepping out of them and taking his place back over her where she spread her legs almost mechanically.

Her heels dug into his ass and he pushed into her slowly, her arms wrapping around his shoulders as her lips found his in a slow, sweet kiss. His hips rocked slowly, pushing himself deeper into her and teasing her as he pulled out slowly. She groaned and pulled from the kiss arching her back, lifting her hips asking him for more. But he resisted and watched her writhe in want under his broad body. "James...Please, I want you.." He smiled at her request and sped his thrusting up til he felt his own stomach catch with a flip of pleasure leaning down and kissing her lustfully and moaning louder against her kisses as his climax neared. He felt her nails scratch and dig at his back and he hoped there wouldn't be marks in the morning. She pulled from the kiss once more and made for his neck. Kissing and sucking slowly for a bit til he pulled back. "No hickeys." He stated and she smirked kissing under his chin, then his chest as it flushed red. The veins in his neck engorged and his cheeks turned bright red as he hollered out with her. "FUCK...! Oh shit..Blake..I'm gonna come.." she quickly pushed him off her and onto his back sliding down his body and wrapping her lips around the purple head of his penis. Her hand gently squeezed his balls while her other rubbed his belly, her lips sucking gently, her tongue flickering over his slit urging him to cum acorss her tongue. That he did, rearing his hips up as he arched his back tightly closing his eyes and growling her name.

She swallowed his warm, sweet tasting seed and licked his still erect shaft until she felt him go soft. Kissing across his belly, and torso til she reached his neck placing a final kiss there. "Mm, that was amazing James." She cuddled into his chest kissing lazily across the faded green ink that scarred his chest with his childrens names. "Yeah, it was." He sighed wrapping his arms around her waist securely like she woudl disappear. "Crazy what you can find in a mosh pit." His comment left her in laughter and she kissed his lips once before resting her head on his chest drifting off to sleep.

THE. END.
