| Welcome To The Night You find yourself in London on a dreary, foggy night like any other. But what lurks in the shadows is the stuff of fantasies and nightmares, far from mortal reality. This game uses the cursed and immortal vampiric condition as a backdrop to explore themes of morality, depravity, the human condition, salvation, and personal horror. We are a writing and roleplaying community dedicated to telling complex and engaging stories. Your fate is your own. Mingle among the ivory-tower elite in the Camarilla, join the fight of the discontented and chaotic Anarch rabble, or set out independently and attempt to survive in London's nighttime underworld. "All right, so we've posted the advert. Now you can't be awake to talk on the phone during the day, so you have to do the first part through email. You do know what email is, don't you?" "Of course I do. They use it all the time on the shows. It's how the kidnappers say what they want." "Have you ever actually used email?" "No." "All right. Well, we start by opening Outlook. Double click on that icon." "Icon?" "The little picture of a letter. Double click on...what are you doing? Don't touch the screen." "I'm clicking on it. Double." "You have to use the mouse." "If there were mice inside, I'd have NO trouble using a computer. I'd just tell 'em to hop to." "Are you being daft on purpose?" "Maybe a touch." "I'm going to help get you a ghoul, but after that, she has to deal with this nonsense from you." ---- Our client, a representative from a prominent entertainment company, is now hiring for a seasoned Executive Personal Assistant/Creative Technical Consultant for work in the London and Dartford area. Susan woke to the chime of a text coming through. She knew it was after 9AM without even opening her eyes. Her smartphone automatically switched from silent mode at 9. From the kitchen came the sound of the automatic grinder machine doing its work chopping up beans and starting the brew. Shortly thereafter the small flat started filling with the pleasant scent of coffee. She sat up in bed and picked up her phone. It was a text from her friend Blitz. It read: Hey, found this advert on my daily squat-and-surf, thought it sounded perfect for you. Cheers. First of all, ew. Secondly, she clicked the link and read the advert. The girl practically bounced off her bed and lodged her head in the ceiling. Susan always had a resume and portfolio ready; she liked her job. But not that much. The pay was not that great. Susan felt like the clock just started clicking and she had to race to get to the interview first... she actually did run to her desktop and her fingers flew over the keys in excitement. Five minutes later, the email was sent. 27 hours later she was accepted for an interview. Tomorrow at 3PM. TOMORROW? Susan was amazed. She almost felt bad that she was going to ditch out of work to go interview for another job. Almost. Not hard to do, she worked outside the office all the time. There was a sleepless night ahead for the girl. |
