The Kindred Chronicle
Key Figures
THE MONSTER OF EALING
Last night, several people reported the sighting of a "screaming red monster" in a quiet neighbourhood of Ealing. After a power shortage in the area, a building caught fire. It was then when, what was described as a "man shaped, footless creature" emerged from the flames, leaping, running, and screaming. One woman has told our reporters that the man had "teeth like a wolf, and the face of the devil". Police officers are still trying to get to the bottom of this; neither the power shortage nor the fire have still been explained. A spokesperson from Scotland Yard has stated that the "so called monster" might be a wounded person, escaping the fire.

TRAGEDY IN TOOLEY STREET
The police has found the bodies of three TFL workers in the construction site at Tooley Street. One of their colleagues raised the alarms last week, when the three workers didn't attend their shifts. The bodies of the men have been found in a deep hole, uncovered by the refurbishment works that are taking place in the area. According to the Police, the bodies were horribly mutilated, which has led to the wildest speculations. The names of the three workers are being kept anonymous, following the wishes of their families.

HOROSCOPE
MARCH 8 - PISCES
You are used to making sacrifices, to prioritising the happiness of others before yours. Even though that is a noble attitude, there are times in life where the only healthy alternative is to embrace your own selfishness and allow yourself some enjoyment. Reserve one hour per day to do something you really like. Treat yourself! Your colour for this month is blue.
Echoes from the past ring back into London. Their intensity increases until they are deafening. What once was a faded memory of a glorious time, now becomes a shocking reality. The consequences of actions taken decades ago ripple into the present, altering the lives of everybody in the City. Unguided and blind, Kindred wander around, trying to make profit out of the reigning chaos.

The appearance of four mysterious figures turned the city upside down. Mistrust and jealousy became the official currency of London. Serpents and fiends rise to power, misdirecting the blaming eyes of the Camarilla towards imaginary enemies. Only those with clear vision and the ability to trust each other strive, while the rest run towards a shallow grave.

Welcome To The Night

You find yourself in London on a dreary, foggy night like any other. But what lurks in the shadows is the stuff of fantasies and nightmares, far from mortal reality.

This game uses the cursed and immortal vampiric condition as a backdrop to explore themes of morality, depravity, the human condition, salvation, and personal horror. We are a writing and roleplaying community dedicated to telling complex and engaging stories.

Your fate is your own. Mingle among the ivory-tower elite in the Camarilla, join the fight of the discontented and chaotic Anarch rabble, or set out independently and attempt to survive in London's nighttime underworld. Anything is possible in our World of Darkness.

Opening panel: Picture of a disappointed squirrel in a small santa cap. He is holding a chestnut topped with a red bow. Behind him is a squirrel hole with a large pile of more, and a litter of red bows scattered before them.

Inside Panel quote: Just what I need, more nuts!

Hand written note: Jane! Sorry I am a bit late on the card. Lets get together, ASAP okay? Oh, I have a new phone number. I jotted it down below. Thanks so much! Stay Warm!

~Janette

P.S. Mr. Blücher says hi.

The card is stared at for almost a minute. The number is called. Using the secret vampire phone.

Janette smiles. Oh, she knows who this must be. "JANE!" she answers the phone brightly in her refined British accent. "Hope you got the card, so lovely to hear from you! Did you find that decent pizza place in London yet? I know Brooklyn pie is hard to beat!"

There is the sound of shuffling papers, then a slight *creak* as the good doctor leans back in her office chair.

There was a long pause as the detective wracked her not unimpressive memory for any trace of where she could possibly know this woman. This Janette had to be a vampire. the postscript said that loud and clear. But Jane kept pretty careful track of all the vampire she met. Janette didn't make the short list.

Okay. First priority when meeting a strange vampire for the first time: Don't offend it. It might be able to eat your face.

"Hi..." Jane said slowly, uncertainly feeling her way into the sentence. "No...no pizza. Not, um, ever. Anymore. Janette."

Another pause.

"That was a really cute card," she added. "Squirrels."

Janette echoed back "Yes, squirrels!" a slight, professional chuckle. "Oh yes, that's right. You must have the same food allergy that I have. So unfortunate isn't it!"

A few finger taps on the desk "Anyway, my other reason for contacting you, other then nuts and squirrels, was that a Mr. Blücher recommended that we have a talk together. Business I am afraid. Apparently you have risen to a position of authority. Bully for you! Would you like to meet up? Be nice to see you in person again. Its been so long, after all!" She got a cheeky grin "Perhaps after we get that out of the way we can catch up to. What do you say?"

"...so long," Jane echoed faintly, feeling utterly lost.

"Um. All right. Um. Sure. Um. Where?"

Janette said "Well, you are welcome to visit me here in my office at Kaegan Sanatorium!"

Naturally, the perfect place for two Malkavians to meet.

The good doctor continued "Otherwise, I can make some time to come to you. Do you have anyplace you prefer? For a private meeting of course. At least, to start with. I am afraid I only have evening hours available in my schedule however, I hope that will be okay!"

"No."

Was Jane's response to the suggestion that they meet in a sanatorium.

She had to spend a moment calming down after the gut wrench of that profound negative reaction.

"How about at the Muse? You know where the Muse is, right? Whenever you want."

In Elysium the ambiguously aged probably-a-Malkavian wouldn't be allowed to hurt her.

Janette did not know, but a quick search on her computer easily found its website. "Ah yes, I see it here. Jubilee Street. An art gallery... with a wine bar! Oh, Jane what a smashing idea. Let me check my schedule now..."

There was the sound of a personal organizer being flipped through. "Tomorrow night at Eleven? How's that for you, Jane?"

"Sure. Eleven tomorrow. That's fine for me. Sure."

Otherwise she'd just be at the office trying to beat new leads out of her head and talking to her new skull.

Now she'd be at Elysium with Janette. With whom she was apparently already wine-bar-attending girlfriends.

"It'll be...good to see you again?"
