Key Figures
THE MONSTER OF EALING
Last night, several people reported the sighting of a "screaming red monster" in a quiet neighbourhood of Ealing. After a power shortage in the area, a building caught fire. It was then when, what was described as a "man shaped, footless creature" emerged from the flames, leaping, running, and screaming. One woman has told our reporters that the man had "teeth like a wolf, and the face of the devil". Police officers are still trying to get to the bottom of this; neither the power shortage nor the fire have still been explained. A spokesperson from Scotland Yard has stated that the "so called monster" might be a wounded person, escaping the fire.

TRAGEDY IN TOOLEY STREET
The police has found the bodies of three TFL workers in the construction site at Tooley Street. One of their colleagues raised the alarms last week, when the three workers didn't attend their shifts. The bodies of the men have been found in a deep hole, uncovered by the refurbishment works that are taking place in the area. According to the Police, the bodies were horribly mutilated, which has led to the wildest speculations. The names of the three workers are being kept anonymous, following the wishes of their families.

HOROSCOPE
MARCH 8 - PISCES
You are used to making sacrifices, to prioritising the happiness of others before yours. Even though that is a noble attitude, there are times in life where the only healthy alternative is to embrace your own selfishness and allow yourself some enjoyment. Reserve one hour per day to do something you really like. Treat yourself! Your colour for this month is blue.
Echoes from the past ring back into London. Their intensity increases until they are deafening. What once was a faded memory of a glorious time, now becomes a shocking reality. The consequences of actions taken decades ago ripple into the present, altering the lives of everybody in the City. Unguided and blind, Kindred wander around, trying to make profit out of the reigning chaos.

The appearance of four mysterious figures turned the city upside down. Mistrust and jealousy became the official currency of London. Serpents and fiends rise to power, misdirecting the blaming eyes of the Camarilla towards imaginary enemies. Only those with clear vision and the ability to trust each other strive, while the rest run towards a shallow grave.

Welcome To The Night

You find yourself in London on a dreary, foggy night like any other. But what lurks in the shadows is the stuff of fantasies and nightmares, far from mortal reality.

This game uses the cursed and immortal vampiric condition as a backdrop to explore themes of morality, depravity, the human condition, salvation, and personal horror. We are a writing and roleplaying community dedicated to telling complex and engaging stories.

Your fate is your own. Mingle among the ivory-tower elite in the Camarilla, join the fight of the discontented and chaotic Anarch rabble, or set out independently and attempt to survive in London's nighttime underworld. Anything is possible in our World of Darkness.

George shrugged, as he still didn't think that whole paperwork issue had the advantages Al mentioned without any disadvantages.

"Perhaps paperwork might take work off you, but it doesn't necessarily help with false identities or identity theft... Besides it might make you unpopular with those people who prefer a more personal approach but in the end, it is your business..."

The next topic made him think for a while, looking out of the window in silence while gathering his thoughts. Once he had succeeded in that he spoke.

"Well, I do think a careful balance is essential and that's where I stand in this matter... Though of course I'm more likely to be against the council giving up power as I'm on it and everything else would be a bit hypocritical and I'm not really fancying hypocrisy..."

"I'm not sure how it would be hypocritical to wish to divest of power that the Council does not desire to make sure of", Alarik replied, attempting to sound gentle. At such a critical juncture, he didn't want to come across as patronising.

"What role the council has depends on the Domain. In some cities, the Council functions as an executive. In others it is a representative body that may hold the Prince to account. In others still it is merely a figurehead body to implement the Princes' decisions. Our council has yet to lay down its internal rules, but I suspect that it may ultimately come to serve as a representative body of sorts."

George shrugged as Al mentioned the council having power it didn't use.

"At the moment it might not make sure of it, but that might change at some point and I don't think there would be much approval to give power away. Power is a weapon, after all and even if it isn't needed, it's still good to have it..."

After a while of thinking he continued.

"Besides the council might have the impression if we give that power up, we weaken ourselves and that would not be in our interest, as power is valuable..."

They were in their essence powerhungry backstabbing monsters, after all... But that wasn't said, as Al did know that very well...

"You might be right", the Prince said with a shrug. The Brujah's words were food for thought, anyway. Especially if his sentiments reflected a broader current within the Council. The Seneschal's earlier missive suggested as much, anyway.

He gave half a glance to Jhael, just to make sure that the ghoul was still sitting up straight, then proposed to conclude their business.

"I believe that settles all of our outstanding issues. Unless there is anything else, I might take my leave?"

Might ? That's the understatement of the week. Anyway, I guess I should get the Redbridge thing sorted out and watch my back... If only I could convince him that this bounty is a bad idea...

George looked at Al with a mixture of disbelief and mistrust, but he didn't say anything. After a short nod he went back into the kitchen and left it a few minutes later with a small bundle, wrapped in tin foil. While going to the door to open it, he gave it to Jhael, then went to the door, opening it.

"Pleasure to have talked to you, have a nice night."

"And you too. Always a pleasure doing business with you."

The Prince inclined his head and made his way back to his vehicle, followed at the heel by his loyal ghoul. Though the outcome of tonights' meeting had been more-or-less pleasing, his eyes were wary as he searched these streets. It wouldn't surprise him at all if his rather luxurious vehicle had been burgled during his brief absence, given the reputation of this neighbourhood.

Finding the black Maybach 62 Zeppelin intact, the Ventrue stepped into the front door that led to the passenger seat, letting his ghoul drive while still being able to easily talk to him. When they'd hit the first main road, he spoke up, asking his Chief Executive Assistant:

"Do you trust him? Primogen Harris, I mean."

Prince Blucher's Dinner (still not quite house trained)

"Ah, thank you, sir!" The young ghoul accepted the small parcel of what he could assume were cookies with a boyish grin. He pulled his coat on and tucked it in the inner pocket, then gave the Brujah Primogen a bow before they left his home.

Mr. Blucher's CEA was under the impression that the meeting went well, at least relative to most Kindred meetings he's witnessed. Furniture was left intact and no one went up in flames.

"Kind of, yeah," he replied after about four seconds of consideration. "Dad always said never trust the guy who's lips are all over your ass, because that guy is trying to pull one over on you or wants something." A slight pause and the corner of his lips curved in a smirk and a soft snort as he steered down another street. "Bear in mind he said don't trust anyone because everyone only wants something from us, but he said especially don't trust that guy. Don't think you can trust Mr. Harris to always be on your side, but think you can trust him to say when he's not and why instead of giving you a smile and nod while holding a dagger behind his back. He's not that guy. He'll let you know. He'll let your table know." He slid a sideways glance to his boss, unsure how he would take his opinion, but there it was.

The Prince chuckled, briefly extending his arm towards the passenger seat so that he could ruffle his minion's white hair. "Clever boy", he said with a grin, ending these affections before the no doubt overly-excited ghoul would steer their vehicle into a ditch. "I think we can even trust that these cookies will not be poison."

After shaking his head, he turned his eyes back towards the road. "Take us home."
