Fledgling

Everything was settled even before Adael had left Boston, he arrived by sea and a limousine was already waiting for him and his luggage. Inside were the driver of course and his new buttler a man with flawless etiquette who's only job was to serve Adael in the best way possible. On his way to his new home, a very comfortable penthouse with everything he needed, according to his Sire affirmations, he felt alone... this upsetted him. Why couldn't Rebecca acompanied him in this trip? His Sire, who were always mysterious about this subject, had told him just this "Rebecca's duty as a Harpy are not easily delegated, there's a proper way for such matters. You must be pacient and wait for her in London." In his hands were three letters, all sealed with emblems of novelty, two of them with Prince Quentin's coat of arms in sealing wax and the other with his Sire's. All addressed to be sent to Allarik Blucher, Prince of London. He thought: 'What kind of Kindred would be?' Declaration of arrival form: Spoiler: click to toggle Recommendation letter #1, Prince of Boston: Spoiler: click to toggle Recommendation letter #2: Spoiler: click to toggle The limousine went into the basement parking at Adael's new home. Adael looked at Frederik his buttler and gave the letters to him, who put them inside of a bigger self sealing envelop and nodded in acceptance. The instructions were already given, to who this package will be send and of course the destination address. So Adael's only words were: "Make sure this letters arrive tomorrow night Frederik." with a severe tone of voice meant to express his doubts about this new buttler's skills and efficiency. After he left the car the rest of Adael's servants started to take the luggage out of the car, a beautiful mercedes benz, obviously armored and brand new. Adael waited, watching his servants' actions and measuring, after they were done the mechanical system of the parking loot took the limousine to place it in it's spot. Just after the simple operation was finished Adael started to walk inside the elevator that after using his security card, given by Frederik while in movement to this place, would take him up, inside his appartment. In this short trip Adael looked at his pocket watch and thought: 'It's almost dawn. I shall have time to check on my Haven's conditions tomorrow night. For now I'd settle for checking that at least the sunlight protections are well and functioning.' trusting that his Sire was more than cappable of settling a simple thing like such as a moving. His first glance on the penthouse was dissapointing, it seemed more like diversion than an inspiration for hardwork but still he managed to get rid of those thoughts and go upstairs for his chamber, that had all windows sealed with steel frames and light blocking panels. He turned the lights off and went to every window looking for any light that would come from the outside, he could find none and felt secure in this lair to spend the night. After the lights went on again Adael noticed Frederik's surprise due to Adael's eye glow, visible in the dark, something he had inherited from his Sire, ackward and distasteful in most cases. |
