Finally, the time of the gathering was there. The briefing had been sent out. The volunteers had been asked to come together a last time to clear out the last questions and make sure that they all were at their best in preparation and all other regards as much as possible. Time was urging them to act though. Every minute lost to them was a minute gained by Mark Blackwood. A minute he would be able to use to move his machinations and plans and who knew what would happe then ? This was their chance to get the drop on him and the Seneshal would see to that this chance would not get squandered. He had come prepared. The room in the little house he has chosen as a meeting point was dark, only immuminated by dim lights and the beam of the projector that threw a map of London to the wall. The Nosferatu stood close to the wall, next to the map. Tonight, he was carefully leaning on a pointing stick. He glanced over the row on empty chairs and over to the desk with the computer on it. The figure behind the screen was hard to make out. The mess of dark curls that the lighting just barely hinted at showed him that his PA was ready. He was as well. Would the others be ? They should be here shortly... Edited by NPC, Tuesday, 8. April 2014, 14:10.

I watched the chaos unfold as the participants started throwing ideas around. They started out making sense but the discourse did get a bit excessive after a while. Interesting but excessive. A reminder why it was best to keep Brujah and complicated things apart. They didnt seem to like their convoluted ideas get picked apart. I made a point of remembering that about this one, it might come in handy in the future. One never knew when I might be in need of his services after all. "Charges do seem a little much for me, but then, I'm not an expert." I openly admitted. On the other hand, I didn't think that getting into Mr Blackwoods little place would be the problem. Getting what we wanted in time and getting out would be more complicated. At least I didn't see myself carrying too much equipment with me, because if I was honest, I didn't see a point in slowing myself down by preparing for everything. My wits and instincts wouldn't let me down. They usually didn't make an habit to do so. "However, perhaps we should see to that our equipment doesn't encumber us too much and also think of some supplies in case of emergency or someone getting wounded. I would be willing and more than able to take care of that little task." After all, I was here to lend my talents to the mission as well as I could. I had never really been a fighter, but knowing this, I had always been able to find alterative ways to make myself useful. |

Toran for sure knew a lot about all kinds of security stuff, Ronnie found it difficult to follow. There wasn´t anything that he could say about it, so he better kept his mouth shut. Toran had an iffy temper of late? Ronnie almost had to grin. There was a guy who had almost the same surname as Ronnie. Luckily not totally the same surname. "Mr. Lockwood, ahm, if you´d be sort of in the background then anyway...there´s still a volunteer needed who hangs back monitors the communication, might you like to do that? Just a suggestion..." Someone who couldn´t fight was in any case safer in the background. |

OOC "Good idea. That sounds more valuable jack. Let's prioritize that," Jane said nodding at Toran's suggestion. And though his question was addressed to Sawyer, Jane was the one to answer Adael: "As far as we can tell, it's a normal apartment building complex with sections that have been converted into a virology laboratory. We're not sure how the rest of the building is used, or if it's anything but a cover. And, well, they're developing deadly viruses that work on vampires, which I suppose qualifies as biotechnology. So while I don't think we're looking at explosive canisters, you don't want to go knocking things over. Like I said, the thing they developed is blood borne, so skin contact won't kill you, but we still certainly want to avoid knocking things over, breaking things, and getting viruses all over everyone." Sawyer nodded at Gideon's suggestion. "Thanks, Mister Lockwood, that's a fine idea. An' Ronnie, it turns out the Seneschal has that covered. An' anyway, we have a role for Mister Lockwood." He glanced at Jane and a sort of silent communication-understanding seemed to pass between the two of them. The deputies settled down to synthesize the ideas that had been thrown around into a cohesive plan. "Okay, based on our original ideas and input from all of you, here's what we're thinking: In order to search the building as fast as possible and cut off to escape venues for Blackwood should he be inside, we propose splitting ourselves into three teams--sky, street, and sewer. We will all enter at the same time. The objectives are: find the lab, find the cryostorage, confiscate or, failing that, destroy the materials, find and secure Blackwood. The lab is probably on the second floor. We're not sure about the cryostorage, but it's likely in the basement." "Team Street'll be Deputy Marlow, Mister Avir, Mister Lockwood, and me. People aren't exactly in and out of this place at all hours, but there are always a couple comin' and goin', and we're hopin' one of you two can have a nice talk with one of the mortals, convince him to come into a dark alley with you. We'll take his keys, his face, and the faces of a few other guys we know who we've confirmed left the grounds recently. Don't worry about that part, Mister Avir, Mister Lockwood, I can handle it for you. Once we're in, we'll handle the ground floor and try an' work our way up. Since we're the only team that's got to wait around a bit for our in, we'll be the one to give the go order." "We believe Miss Harris would be best qualified to coordinate entering from the rooftop. Because she needs a partner with experience with modern security and because the mobile jammer Mister Craig is going to supply would be best places on the roof, we think Miss Harris, Mister Craig, and Miss Fehrer should attempt entry that way. Deputy Flint's scouting has confirmed that there is a rooftop entrance, found only one camera on the roof, and there's no appreciable security on the surrounding buildings. Once you're in, you'll want to work your way down to the second floor, where, as mentioned before, we suspect the lab is located." "Team Sewer'll be Mister Dardenne, Mister Lockhart, and Mister Harris. If Mister Craig can get us a bomb, that's swell, if not, then we actually do want Mister Lockhart and Mister Harris to break through that wall with punches and sledgehammers. Hear me out, Toran--if you've cut the phone lines and are blocking the cellphones, we WANT to start making a ruckus down there, because that group is jam packed with heavy hitters. If the noise gets a response, they can deal with it best, and draw heat off the other groups so they have time to search. They also have be best escape route--back into the sewers, where my clan's got their backs." "So that's where we stand. You're authorized to use lethal force on anyone inside that building, but try to disable instead of kill--the more people left alive the more people we have to give us answers about how all this was orchestrated. Team leaders will be Clarice Harris for Sky, Deputy Flint for Street, and Primogen Harris for Sewer. Seneschal Henderson will be coordinating communication and in our ears throughout the operation and his orders trump all. Are there any questions?" |

"I'm not gonna have time to cook up a shape charge if we're going soon. Not if I'm making a strong enough phone jammer. But I can give you guys my generator and my jackhammer. Since they'll be strong enough to hold it up against the ceiling it'll work better than trying to batter your way through concrete with your hands or a sledge hammer, and I guarantee it'll attract people's attention." Toran took a deep breath and nodded. Prioritizing was good. This should be workable. As long as he and Lucy were together he could protect her. That's what was important. The whole reason he was doing all this was to protect Lucy and make sure their food supply didn't get tainted. He man continued stroking Lucy's leather shoulder slowly, up and down, up and down, controlling his emotions so he didn't blow up for no real reason. |

The corner between Room 308 and Staircase-1 is sure camera's blind spot. I'm going to climb on window sills and fasten a rope somewhere near. I'll also unlock the staircase if needed. I'm gonna use another rope in elevator shaft and drop straight to second floor, eventually secure the car by fixing the alarm button. If we have any stationary devices, let's use the laundry room to store them. I'll proceed to hallway, scout and unlock all possible doors. Then I'll follow you around, stealthed Still looking at the building plans, Clarice reached for a notepad and started scribbling her shopping list, adding 20 meters of 1/4 inch steel rope, 2 steel clasps for ropes, magnetic screwdriver kit, rubber gloves, pruner and a roll of bubble wrap. Everything easily accessible in a DYI store |

The Seneshal looked from one participant to another. To him, it looked as if the main points had been settled and solved. "If there are no questions remaining that need adressing or while we clear those questions, you can think about items or equipment that you might want to requisition to be taken along for the mission. I will see what can be reasonably provided." He was taking some note to prepare the de-briefing and other things that might come in handy. Like preparing a route to get all three groups there as stealthily as possible. |

Yeah, that made sense of course if it was Henderson who did that communication stuff, then he had an overview of what went on and could give important orders if necessary. Ronnie didn´t know that Dardenne guy yet who would be in the sewer team with him, but luckily also George was in the same group. It was good to have at least one person in his group whom Ronnie already knew. "It was mentioned that it would be good to wear helmets in case we get attacked with infected darts. I don´t really fancy getting any virus inside me, but I haven´t got any helmet and can´t afford to get such stuff really, so I´d be greatful if that can be provided for me." Ronnie expected that the usage of that jackhammer (whatever that was) would be explained to them. At least he knew what a generator was. Might it be needed to provide power for that jackhammer thing? |

"I've got a spare welding helmet that should work for you fine Ronnie, just remember to flip up the light shield so it isn't too dark for you to see. It'll protect your head from the debris of the jackhammer when it kicks in. You should be strong enough to just hold it straight up and against the wall. It's got a bit of a kick from the compressed air but nothing you can't handle." Since he could hold the jackhammer in place as a ghoul he was sure Ronnie could handle it. The Brujah doubtlessly had more potence than he did. "I'm not really good at the whole silent moving thing, which is why I tended to do tech support. But Lucy and I can climb down the elevator cables without a problem once all the stuff on the roof is disabled. If Ms Harris takes a camera and video streams to my phone I can guide her through any of the cutting or disabling she might need help with before Lucy and I pop our heads up into view." |

Once again Ronnie cursed his limited vocabulary. He didn´t have a clue what welding meant, so he wasn´t sure at all what a welding helmet might be for and what it looked like. But the main thing was that it was a helmet. "That´s great, that you borrow that helmet to me", Ronnie replied. "And it would be good if you show me how to use a jackhammer, I have never used such a thing." At least he guessed so, as he wasn´t even sure what kind of thing that was. Maybe such a thing that was used during roadworks to split the tarmac open? Terribly loud. Ronnie hoped that´s what it was. It would surely be fun to make a racket with such a thing. Ah yeah, and of course then bits would be falling down, so it was good that his head would be protected by a helmet then. |

Adael thought over this whole plan with care, he was afraid to speak up being honest to himself, these vampires were going... 'wait, is a WE... we're going!' that snaped him out of his meditation and said. "I ask permission to speak my mind, I promise I'll be brief." his voice wasn't trembling, he had already resolved to speak up whatever the consequences. "I understand that this threat means great peril for human and kindreds alike, if this plague goes out of London could represent an epidemy but that's not my biggest concern but the fact that this facility granted the means to create it, all the resources invested there are the acumulations of years of work by our foe, his notes and briefings for his subordinates surely would allow others to replicate or continue this research and create something that could be even more threatful to our Kind!" He went next to the table with slow pace and keeping his movement peaceful, he didn't want to be perceived as a threat or saboteur of the plan created to stop this man and his creation. He wanted to scale the plan to a level according to the facts he was being inform with. "How can we know that he's the only one that can make the virus? It's not even as simple as destroying the building and erasing all its workers memory replacing our burst with an ideal excuse. He could have passed this information to other vampires, what would happend if The Followers get this recipe? or The Sabbat? History have shown us how far they're willing to go to destroy the Order and implant their own!" He then turned to the higher authority present, The Seneschal and said while bowing. "I've other concerns of less importance your Excellence but my first suggestion it's to postergate this meeting while we gather more information about the place itself. Perhaps I could interview one of the lab scientist and extract some of the details important to this mission, for example the current inner structure of the building and the location of every important room. Other than that I agree that the main priority would be to extract this man and interrogate him, with as few noise as possible to avoid his other collaborators to run and hide. For this purpose I respectfully suggest to pick the partakers not by their will to participate but by the skills in infiltration and stealth discipline they may have, that includes but not only apply to Malkavians and Nosferatu at least. A second team could monitor the surroundings especially those Kindreds with Auxpex... perhaps would be wise to ask to the Tremere what other bloodmagic they may add to the pool of resources already spoken." Then rose from his bow and concluded saying. "That would be all, excuse me for the interruption" Edited by Adael Avir, Tuesday, 15. April 2014, 01:03.

As far as gear and equipment went, she had the things she knew she needed and which she knew she could use. Other than that, as stated before, the Brujah would follow the plan for as long as the plan was still a viable option. Though she saw it as her main priority to ensure Toran stayed safe, and secondary to that, that the others stayed safe as well. Now, they weren't really looking to start any big scale combat, but you never knew. So yeah, getting people back safely would be what she'd be there to do. Although she seemed content to leave the discussion to the other Kindred as Toran could speak for the both of them in this case. |

Jane fielded Adael's suggestions and concerns again. "Mister Adael, your suggestion about leaving someone with Auspex outside as a back up measure is a good one. I don't want to shorthand any of the groups, so I'll ask a clanmate of mine who I suspect will be willing to help in that capacity." "While we appreciate your volunteering, our informant, Jean Blackman, has already been interviewed by Catherine Wilke of clan Tremere, our Grand Harpy. This lady can Dominate him and read his mind at the same time, so we're very sure that we've gotten all the information we can from him. Grand Harpy Wilke is very aware of this mission, and I assume if he clan had magic that could help us, she'd come forward with it. If you know anything in particular you'd like from clan Tremere, now would be a good time to request it and I'm sure the Seneschal will relate your request." "I can assure you that the possibility of the information being disseminated is a serious concern for us. That's why we don't have time for the extensive intel gathering you're suggesting--this operation needs to happen now. They know Blackman's gone, but they don't know we have him, and they don't know we know about the lab. If Blackwood hasn't fled or stashed any of the research elsewhere, he's likely to when he learns about this. If they've already disseminated the information elsewhere, then the only thing we can do is find Blackwood, try to figure out where, and develop a cure, and once again, the faster the better." "Your suggestion about stealth infiltration is sensible, and that's why we're doing that. Team sky and team street infiltrate while team sewer distracts, and between the three groups we cut off all avenues of escape. If we send Nosferatu and Malkavian infiltrators in alone, we're screwed by anyone inside with Auspex, the infiltrators are much more vulnerable, and if they're spotted, what you're worried about will easily happen. You'll notice we have someone with Auspex on each team. We're actively trying to prevent what you're afraid of from happening--people slipping through." |

Henderson took a step away from the projected map, to allow Adael some freedom to move and point out things, if he saw this as necessary. "This is why we don't simply destroy the facility but retrieve the evidence ourselves. To make sure we have all dangerous details before destroying the research and everything connected to it. Nothing must remain of it." He looked back at the map as Adael went on. "Keep in mind that Mr Blackwood is immensely popular with kindred law enforcement at the moment. He can't afford to spread his operation too much, unless he attracts the wrong attention and risks too many accomplices in the know. Therefore, he might have back-up storages, but that is, as you might have figured by now, just another reason to not rely on paperwork alone and see to that some of the elements at the facility might be useful in a more... alive state, if that term can be applied in the current situation. And just another reminder why time is paramount at this stage. Should Mr Blackwood have passed the 'recipe' on, he would be giving up considerable leverage on us, as Setites might be rather willing to sell at least parts of it for a high enough price and the Sabbat... Well, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that as a non-Sabbat, he would run a high risk to be cheated or outright gutted as thanks for his little present. I doubt he would risk that unless as a last-ditch act of spite. Another reason why communications blockage and surprise are important. If he has passed the information on, thereis hardly anything we can do abou it from here at this point, except making sure the time they have to spread the news is short. As has already been outlined earlier, the plans of the building we have are outdated and only passable as a most basic reference. Apart from the general layout and some very basic intelligence gained by a former member of staff, we're flying blind, if you don't mind the expression. Wewill have to make do with what we have and expand the knowledge of the building with on-site reconnaissance as we go along. It's not optimal, but it's all we have to work with at this point in time. As this is not a two-prong mission that requires a hammer and an anvil. To this purpose skilled individuals are important, but a high morale also is and a bunch of draftees will most likely not as high on morale and out-of-the box thinking as intrinsically motivated volunteers are. Therefore, I value motivation and will to suceed a bit higher on the importance scale than rare aptitude and skills if I have to decide. I will see if somebody can befound to monitor the outside. Perhaps you would like to see to that, Miss Marlow ?" Not to talk about the domain being rather low on Tremere and the ones he could currently think of not being really fit for an assignment like this in his opinion. The Primogen seemed a bit like too much trouble to make his presence worthwhile and the Harpy... Didn't strike him as much of a combat enthusiast. Especially as she was busy monitoring Blackman and was already on call. "Other questions or suggestions, ladies and gentlemen ?" He asked the assembled volunteers. |

Adael listened carefully to Jane intervention and replied after a second of delay. "I agree with you Deputy Sheriff, it is important to carry on this plan and that's the reason I'm still here ready to partake and collaborate in everyway I can. My suggestions are meant to scale the plan to the needs of the problem we have in hands. I'd support the uptold ideas to cut the electricity power down as the teams go in and attack the emergency supply if any, to prevent data upload as a result of our burst. Also, as considered before, its important to ask an expert how can we interrupt the internet and phone services during the raid, except for our transmiters, that would definitely isolate them in our advantage, I've heard such thing is possible with certain electronic jamming devices. For the rest of the groups around the perimeter would be in our best interest to have socially skilled resources, to crowd control all incoming police forces that may appear in the scene. We could disguise as policeman and block the nearby roads to assure than none, policeman or civilians get near the laboratory. This would also prevent any reinforcements from their part." Toran raised an eyebrow. Having already said he'd get to work building a jamming system he had to wonder if he was being... ignored, by the well dressed individual. While he hadn't said specifically that he'd block the wi-fi along with the cellphones the jammer worked on a similar principle and he figured it was common sense that he'd be blocking both if he could get his system put together in time. They weren't hard. They sold the damned things at radio shack after all. The hard part was going to be tailoring them to isolate their blue-tooth frequency and allow that one to go through his encrypted chips. He grunted, softly, as he felt his temper stir. It wasn't a challenge to his ability. It wasn't. He resumed his slow rubbing of Lucy's leather bound shoulder and taking slow deep breaths. His voice was like a soft black smoke drifting through the room. A resonant presence of depth and power, but soft as a velvet blanket. "I'll go to my shop to but together the jammers now, and set out the jackhammer and tools for the sewer group, including that helmet for Ronnie. It's gonna take me a at least 2 hours to modify the equipment. Don't start without me alright?" The big man rose and left to get started. If they wanted speed, speed they'd get. He and Lucy could set up everything for the sewer team and set up a box. Not to mention gather up all his phones and ear pieces. Fortunately he had those made up. He wondered if they were going to pay him the three grand each was worth? Eh, he'd just have to worry about collecting them all later. |

Before answering again Jane glanced at Henderson to make sure she wasn't stepping on his toes by answering so many questions. He waved his hand in a Go ahead sort of a motion. So she started in again. "Currently I believe the plan is to wait until all the groups are in, and cut the power in response to someone being spotted. It has been pointed out that cutting it too early would be a bit of a tip off for the inhabitants. Mister Craig and Miss Fehrer will be handling that." Henderson made an Ahem noise. Jane paused to look at him, and he made a subtle gesture at the departing Toran and some papers on his desk. Jane nodded, picked up the papers, and walked over to Toran. "Thank you Mister Craig, we wouldn't dream of it. These are the adjusted blueprints we made up, based on your model, with additions from Sawyer's scouting and Blackman's information. There's also a page on how to handle any virus samples we find." She turned back to Adael. "As he just explained, Mister Craig is our expert, and like we discussed earlier, he is going to be constructing a cellphone jammer that will affect everything except for our headsets." "We've already discussed how we're going to deal with distracting the police, no blockades necessary, which is good because we don't have the influence or manpower to set them up. I'm afraid we also don't have the manpower to make groups around the perimeter like you're suggesting. Everyone who volunteered is in this room, and has a job. However, if you would like to remain outside to watch for and intercept possible interference, I'm open to that idea. You wouldn't be alone, like I mentioned I have a clanmate who I'm sure can be convinced to keep watch outside and could help you, the teams inside would be on call if dangerous problems arose, and I assume you have the skillset necessary to distract the curious. Clarice listened to Toran's plan with curiosity. She would never think of going equipped with a camera or that someone could guide her from a distance but she even liked that idea Alright, I'll go with necessary tools only. I'm not familiar with such devices as your small camera, so you'd have to show me how to use it She listened to further conclusions and suggestions, sorting things out and seeing how do they look in their mission puzzle Mr. Avir, a good burglar stays alert until the work is finished, else prisons would quickly become overcrowded. I will have the building's top covered. I don't know much about newest security systems, but maybe our specialists are able to take over and use them for our benefit. As for bobbies... They have their own radio frequency which we'd have to use hours before, they also know eachother quite well. I'd suggest you pretend you're from MI5, police can't question their presence so easily Toran leaving to prepare the gear, that reminded her she should really do the shopping stuff. Perimeter security, crowd control... I don't know why this man is here, but I think he's not really having an idea what a stealth mission is... Well, we'll see... George sat there and listened, thinking about what they could need, when the discussion about perimeter security and all that started. After a headshake he continued to think while the unnecessary debate went on, fighting the urge to slam Adael and Jane against something hard until their brains became one, if only in a puddle on the floor. Then he got up, speaking on behalf on equipment they might need. "Flashbangs or smoke grenades would be good for disguising us upon getting in or out, at least I'd like to have some. And something, preferrably a ghouled and trained animal, to get the cure out of the building should we manage to find it..." Of course he knew it might sound a bit unecessary, but he did remember the first rule about Black Ops: they're never as easy as they sound at first. Ever. "If you don't mind I'll be getting some equipment that might come in handy and be back in a bit..." With that he left the room, unless someone wanted something important from him and delayed the leave thusly. |

"The expenses will be taken care of, Miss Harris." Henderson took Clarice's list and glanced at it before he handed it to the figure behind the computer screen. "There would just be one thing left to say, Primogen Harris..." The Seneshal's voice sounded behind his back. "While Mr Craig has been awarded a dispensation for the sake of hardly movable tools and machines, I would prefer if the rest of those assembled here would not endanger the secrecy of the mission too much. Which is why I would ask you to ask a member of your clan to collect said things for you." Simple thing, as long as it was not absolutely necessary with a good reason behind it, no one would leave this room from this point on. "I'll see about what can be done for your requests." |
