Finally, the time of the gathering was there. The briefing had been sent out. The volunteers had been asked to come together a last time to clear out the last questions and make sure that they all were at their best in preparation and all other regards as much as possible. Time was urging them to act though. Every minute lost to them was a minute gained by Mark Blackwood. A minute he would be able to use to move his machinations and plans and who knew what would happe then ? This was their chance to get the drop on him and the Seneshal would see to that this chance would not get squandered. He had come prepared. The room in the little house he has chosen as a meeting point was dark, only immuminated by dim lights and the beam of the projector that threw a map of London to the wall. The Nosferatu stood close to the wall, next to the map. Tonight, he was carefully leaning on a pointing stick. He glanced over the row on empty chairs and over to the desk with the computer on it. The figure behind the screen was hard to make out. The mess of dark curls that the lighting just barely hinted at showed him that his PA was ready. He was as well. Would the others be ? They should be here shortly... Edited by NPC, Tuesday, 8. April 2014, 14:10.

As no one else had an more pressing questions and did not submit any bigger requisitioning lists, the Seneshal took the liberty to assume that there was nothing else to be handled at this point, or at least the lack of other request of questions/suggestions suggested it. So he had those who were still in attendance recount their roles in the upcoming operation as well as the parts that the other members of their specific teams were supposed to play over and over again until they were tired of it and then some more. They also had to memorize the floor plans and internalize them, specifically th part they would be concerned with, but also the other parts, even if that was more in passing and for the sake of general familiarity in case something went awry. Although going over things over and over ad nauseam, Henderson showed them no mercy until they were able to reiterate the things flawlessly and without having to think about them too much anymore. When Toran and Lucy returned, they were given a short summary and Clarice was tasked with making sure they knew their parts as well as the others did by now wile they got underway. As soon as the equipment had been handed out, he left a final opportunity for any questions, remarks or suggestions. If there were none, they would set off. (Any questions, suggestions or remarks will be dealt with as they come up. The prologue will be closed on Monday when the next part goes up) |

With a look as if to say 'Could have said that before Toran left' George wrote a short message to Barney and waited. A while later a car stopped with screeching brakes in front of the building and waited there, while Barney entered and handed George a bag. Then he gave Ronnie a small parcel with the hopes he wouldn't have to use that, but the boss wanted him to have that for the mission. After doing that, he left again and the car drove away again. |

Oh god, was that boring, repeating all that stuff a dozen times. So what...the Seneshal commanded it, and there was some sense behind it, so it simply had to be endured. Ronnie was very surprised when he was handed a parcel by George´s ghoul and glanced at George, looking confused. And Ronnie was curious as hell, so he quickly opened the parcel to see what was in it. |

When Ronnie opened the parcel, an Uzi sub-machine gun could be found in it, looking brand-new and menacing in the light of the meeting room. Also in the parcel was a note mentioning it would be nice to have it back after the mission and three magazines containing 32 rounds each. Noticing Ronnies confusion George went to him with a reassuring smile and tried to explain him in a low voice how to operate the weapon and how to use it for suppressive fire, if necessary. |

Toran and Lucy return. Their heavy duty black truck weighed down with a bit of equipment. Toran had a heavy rucksack filled with the tools he might need to overcome the modern technology of today's security system. A laptop to crack security codes, laser embedded receivers, screwdrivers, wire cutters, soldering irons etc. He also had a generator, an air compressor and a jackhammer, along with a welding helmet for Ronnie. |

Oh wow, that gun looked cool. Not that he would like to shoot any humans with it. But to shoot at Blackwood would be great. But it was quite unlikely that the bastard himself was there, and they wouldn´t even know if it was him. Ronnie listened to George´s explanation. That didn´t sound too difficult. And he had used a similar gun before. That had been a borrowed one, too. Of course George would get the gun back. Then Toran and Lucy came back. So that was what a welding helmet looked like. And the jackhammer was what Ronnie guessed it might be. He asked Toran to explain to him how to use that thing and was looking forward to using it. |

There were no further requests or demands and as the basic protocol drill had been completed, the Seneshal made a notion about the time that had passed and oversaw the distribution of the equipment. When it looked like the people were getting finished, he decided to address them once more. "As we are about to embark on the mission to cripple Mr Blackwoods operations, I would like to call your attention to a few things. We all know this is the only opportunity we have to turn the current dynamics around and gain the advantage of initiative, forcing Mr Blackwood into the position where he has to react to our actions instead of the other way around. If the data our informant gave us is correct, we might also be able to obtain samples that will allow us to try and counteract the complete menace Mr Blackwood is threatening us with and of course deprive him of an important ressource and headquarters. Everyone in here is a specialist in his or her particular field and was willing to volunteer to this task on a short note despite the dangers for life and limb involved. The domain will not forget who was willing to step up in the time of need, and neither will I." He looked over the assembled kindred once more, fully aware that this was possible the last time all of them were together with all pieces attached or in full number. He shoved the curiosity aside who would possibly not be among them any longer on de-briefing. What was left to be said ? "We are as prepared as we can be and everyone knows what is to be done to succeed. You all knew what you were getting into and fully stand behind the cause that brought all of us here. This cause and this purpose are a unifying element. Watch out for each other and work together and there shouldn't be much that can pose a direct threat that can't be overcome. Team leaders, I expect you to look after the people under your command and see to that you can bring them back safely. Lead them with courage, inspiration and by example. Lead them to success. Good luck, ladies and gentlemen !" He walked over to the door and shook every participant's hand as they filed out to get underway, wishing each of them success and good luck. Then they were out. The Nosferatu walked over to the desk as his Assistant turned off the projector and more darkness surrounded them. He sighed and let himself fall into one of the chairs. No, he hadn't missed this the slightest, but someone had to do it and by design, it had to be him. No now his hands were tied and a disembodied voice would beall he would be able to provide for the people under his command. "What do you think, James ? Can they do it ?" His eyes found the map on the computer screen in front of his assistant. Her voice had startled him bit, she had been silent the whole time, so he had almost forgotten about her. "It has been easy so far, perhaps too easy, but that might be just me. But we managed with a hand that was a lot worse than the one we have right now. I think our chances are not too bad, especiall with the people we have out there. But from now on, its all on them." "Alright, I'll go and set the communication up..." With that, she left as well, leaving Hederson in the dark room, alone with his thoughts and the map of their target destination. What would await them there ? They would find out soon enough ! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [END OF PROLOGUE] |

Adael took a second to consider his options, while he listen to the operation procedures as they were being spoken. He started his comm and checked the reception and he remained silence while he was trying to remember if there were any identification codenames given for this com protocol. He went straight to the Seneschal and waited for his instructions, although Jane was open to the idea of watching the perimeter it wasn't clear for him how this would fit in the big scheme of the plan, so he prepared himself to collaborate. |

Most of the others were already out. The Seneshal seemed a bit surprised that Adale wa still there and seemed to be about to ask something or whatever he was planning to do. "Is there anything else you need, Mr Avir ?" He asked in a perfectly normal conversational tone, keeping an eye on Adaels body language and how he responded to the question. |

Adael looked at the Seneschal and smiled in empathy, then he said. "As far as I can tell, your Excellence, the communicator and the recording devices I asked would be all that I need. I understand groups have been arranged, I volunteer to partake in any but infiltration, I'm not qualified for such task. Perhaps I could be of assistance with the backup group?" |

"You have chosen an interesting time to bring that to attention, Mr Avir. If the others hadn't already left, I might have entertained your proposal, but as things are, you have bee assigned to the group that handles the infiltration and as you have already been briefed and equipped for the sake of said group, it is somewhat late to re-organize everything, wouldn't you agree ? Therefore, you may be assigned to the perimeter should if the deputies see that as feasible. If they don't, I am afraid you will have to soldier on through the unknown, but I heard Ventrue aren't too bad at that, so I'm confident you'll manage. Feel free to offer some initiative and get the job done, it might get you out of your comfort zone, but you did know that in advance to some extent after all." He regarded Adael with a glance that conveyed the finality of his statement. "Dismissed, Mr Avir ! Catch up with your group and good luck." The Seneshal turned around and studied a few papers th womanbehind the laptop handed him. |
