| Welcome To The Night You find yourself in London on a dreary, foggy night like any other. But what lurks in the shadows is the stuff of fantasies and nightmares, far from mortal reality. This game uses the cursed and immortal vampiric condition as a backdrop to explore themes of morality, depravity, the human condition, salvation, and personal horror. We are a writing and roleplaying community dedicated to telling complex and engaging stories. Your fate is your own. Mingle among the ivory-tower elite in the Camarilla, join the fight of the discontented and chaotic Anarch rabble, or set out independently and attempt to survive in London's nighttime underworld. Anything is possible in our World of Darkness. Create Your Account! If you're already a member, please log in to your account to access all of our features: |

An Overview: You can never do too much research, especially when pulling character concepts from eras and cultures not your own. But how to know where to even begin when creating a character outside your own world experience? Or outside your own time period? In this thread, everyone can contribute to help pool together information and resources for anyone who's having difficulty finding information on a particular culture, country, or time period. It might even help you stumble across something you never thought about concerning your character's background or history. Perhaps even give people ideas for a new character. After all, the world is a big place and London serves as a major nexus for it. With over 270 nationalities calling London home, it serves as one of the most multicultural city centers in the world, a fact established all the way back in the time of the Roman Empire. Inhabitants have ranged from African legionnaires to Chinese sailors all the way to the immigrants that today compose some thirty five percent of London's population. With this in mind, along with the secretive nature of the World of Darkness, people from almost any background can find themselves within The Big Smoke. Resources will be complied in the first post in a master list and can be anything from websites to articles all the way to books.
