Veronicka had recently arrived in London and established herself in her mansion. The crew of her ship were currently on leave and running all over London, until such a time that she called them back. So she had nestled in and reached out to her contacts in the antiquities community to see if anything of interest was being sold. What did she find? A treasure trove of 17th century furniture that was collected by a couple for years and years. They died with no heir leaving the precious antiques up for sale! Veronicka outbid the lot of them indulging in her little hobby. The only time she really ever spent money on herself these days was the purchase of these antiques. It made her sick to spend it on anything else for selfish reasons. Veronicka flipped through her phone as she took picture of the antiques. They were in good condition, but they could use some refurbishing and she knew just the man for that. She shot a text out to her favorite antiques expert in refurbishing. In it was a news article. @Jason:"Lookie what your favorite customer just bought." She followed it up with a phone call. "Jason! Darling! Guess vhoo is in London! I just bought a ton of antiques that need a bit of refurbishing! Vant to meet up? You know I vill pay top dollar!" Veronicka called into the phone. This statement would not change regardless of whether he picked up or if it went to voice mail. |

Well, he might not recognize the name, but he did recognize the voice that seemingly tried to jump him through the cellphone. In fact, it was enough to earn a brief chuckle and a smirk from the Swede as he leaned back into his chair and pushed the papers he'd been working with, away. "Well hello Madam Veselovsky" enthusiastic creature that she was. "Have you been on a shopping spree again hm?" he could allow himself the friendly teasing given previous dealings with the woman. |

"Oh you know me darling! I found the best little auction right when I got into London! A whole house stuffed full of 17th century antiquities collected by a family who died some time ago," Veronicka was quite gleeful , "I acquired a joined-oak bedstead, a cupboard carved with a floral frieze, a carved blanket chest, a Carolean-style vall hanging, a mahogany longcase clock with a swan neck pediment, and an assortment of kitchen vare and other things. I think in all there vas fourteen long clocks. You may have some of the long clocks as a gift should you vish it. Vhat I am most interested in is a painting found on the landing of the property. It depicted two young gentlemen, the sons of the Earl of Sussex, which my source tells me was painted in 1670. I vas vondering if you could do a bit of vork for me. The long clocks need refurnishing as do the beds. I only vant the mahogany long clock, the rest you may have to sell or collect. Completely gifted, I obviously intend to pay for you service." Veronicka was giggling a bit. She was a bit giddy to see Jason. Anyone who shared her interest she tended to get along with. Being a Kindred was a blessing for her. She actually got to meet vampires who lived in her favored time periods. Her call wasn't really all business though. "So handsome," Veronicka giggled, "V'hy don't you allooo me to buy you a drink and maybe you could shooo me around London." |

Ah, Veronicka, always so enthusiastic. "Not often I get to do some actual hand son work" normally he only tracked down and verified antiques, though he sort of likes the time she got to actually do some hands on work as far as refurbishing went. Couldn't let his old trades rust completely, now could he? "I will of course be delighted to have a look at what you've acquired and see what might needs to be done. I might just be able to help out" he chuckled briefly. "I also know a couple of very good people for restoring old paintings. So I might just be able to give you a hand with having that painting brushed up and appraised" that was what contacts were for after all, and by now he had plenty of them. Sure, expensive contacts, but they were the best at what they did, and so were well worth the price. As for the last part, well... "A drink sounds lovely" he reassured her. "I am still settling in as it were but I am sure I could give you a brief sight seeing of the more interesting places" |

"Oh that vould be just fantastic!" Veronicka was quite pleased to hear that he was still in business, "You could go by my place or if you vould prefer I could have my crew deliver the items in question to a location of you choosing." Veronicka knew that Jason's contact were very pricey indeed. Did she give a rat's ass? No, not at all, she preferred to pay the price and have things done right. Especially, when it came to her favorite little hobbies. "So vhere did you vant to meet up?" Veronicka asked excitedly. She wasn't planning on seducing Jason or anything like that. The man was handsome, but she knew he was still clutching onto a dead wife. Apparently, until death do us part, did not apply to him. Considering they were both quite dead as well. She had no trouble respecting his wishes though. |

The woman was always so excited and yes, it did make him smile a bit there he sat listening to her speak, already picturing her kind of jumping on the edge of her seat in giddiness over her latest purchases. "If you wish I would be delighted to come by your place to have a look at the items in questions so that I might be able to give you an estimate before having to move them anywhere else" he could, after all, not promise miracles and did not wish to needlessly waste her time. Although he had honestly yet to disappoint her by turning down any of her requests. Business related ones anyway. "When would be a good time for you?" he would make the time for a loyal client after all. |

Veronicka did smile as she leaned in towards the phone. Of course the gesture was lost on the phone that didn't care what state Veronicka was in. However, the Russian definitely enjoyed the gesture all to herself. She licked her lips a bit in anticipation of another successful purchase. She was glad she could surround herself with such useful and handsome men. For her own part, Veronicka wasn't overly concerned with who knew where she was sleeping. The Russian slept in a panic room. She had roving security on every floor. The panic room was airtight since she didn't need to breathe. In the event of an attack she would enter a voluntary torpor and if her security didn't chime in at the right time the police would be alerted to scour the mansion. She would be able to make it out unscathed, but any intruders would be royally fucked. The security itself was expendable. They weren't ghouls or anything of the like. They were just hired mercenaries trained to do a simple task. Were they armed? Oh yes, Veronicka payed over a million to ensure they were well equipped with large caliber weaponry. Enough to hurt even a Kindred with heavy fortitude. At least enough to slow them down. She figured any vampire who made it through all of her security to include ripping the vault door off the hinges would be extremely quite. That would make them easy pray by the time they got to the hardened Russian. "My place is perfect," Veronicka stated giddily, already signaling to her butler to bring out her "choicest wine." That meant a special bottle that she could personally drink and a bottle of straight blood for another Kindred. One was full of blood that was obtained from charitable individuals. One was obtained from just anyone. "As soon as you vould like to meet up darling! As you know! I am up to nuffing. I am located at 17 Upper Phillimore Gardens." |

Jason reached out, snagging a pen and a notepad to jot down the address as it was given. "How about tomorrow evening then?" the Swede asked, still with that smile to his voice. "We can talk and have a look at those antiques. It will give us a chance to catch up" it wasn't all that many clients he felt like doing that with in any other setting than a formal one. But he'd known the Ventrue long enough and done enough business with her, to enjoy her company not just for the business she brought him. |

"Tomorrow evening would be fantastic Mr. Dahlgren," Veronicka said with a huge chuckle, "I will expect you at around midnight if that is okay?" Veronicka was indeed smiling. It would be a fun meeting and she was looking forward to it. She would make sure that preparations were in place so that they could be quite comfortable during their extended visit. |

"Around midnight then" be seemed to smile, making a small note for himself and reminding himself to talk with Yuki before heading out. "I will be looking forward to it" the Swede reassured her with a chuckle to his voice as it would, indeed, be a nice change of pace given how London had been working out so far. Dear God... He really wished he could just... up and leave, take everything and everyone that mattered to him with him and get the Hell out of there. But, he had a feeling that wouldn't sit well with the Torchwoods. Not that they'd refuse, but he didn't wish to uproot them before he absolutely had to. |

Veronicka wasn't much of a reader of someone's mood. She was perceptive, but not greatly so. "Sounds great. I vill see you then," Veronicka replied before hanging up the phone. She would make preparations for his arrival so at the very least he was comfortable while he appraised her antiques. |
