The second team had been inserted successfully, working their way into a position to observe the target building and start their assigned tasks. Their target building was a big ugly block of concrete. Most of the windows had been taped over with newspapers and other pieces of paper, othershad been boarded up completely. The neighboring buildings had about 60 feet distance to this oneand looked exactly the same, save for smaller details like the chain link fence with the company logo that was still in place, clinking while it moved with the occasional gust of wind, the satellte dish on the roof or the big antenna next to it. They could see a man in dark clothes next to the main entrance. He was looking rather bored and tried to not call too much attention to his presence, but the glimming cigarette gave him away pretty easily. There was not much more movement on the perimeter, except for the cameras on top of the building, one per corner, slowly moving over their assigned part of the grounds. They recognized the guard, it was one of the persons Blackman had described to them in greater detail. Although it was not easy to make out, they were able to see a walkie-talkie at his belt when he went for the next smoke and lit it up. |

A noise like a car alarm started blaring from somewhere upstairs. |

Emily was prepared for a possible fight on this mission. She was clad in black boots, a black leather jacket, and black pants. On her hip was a machete and in her right hand was a .45. She wasn't all that familiar with the other two in her company. She carefully inspected the entry way. If there was one thing Emily had going for her it was an uncanny perception. She knelt down picking up the red hairs which seemed out of place, but still, she didn't know how they fit into this mess. Unless, it was Jane who blasted out that message on the Madness Network... Then the alarm sounded. She cocked her pistol and stuck close to a wall. "Well, there goes any element of surprise we might have had. You'd think the Nosferatu would have had the skills to turn that off," Emily commented. |

Emily's uncanny senses allowed her to percieve traces of blood along the floor, leading to a nearby door. The alarm from above continued to blare. To those familiar with security, it sounded like a personal alarm system rather than a building-wide one. Those very familiar with security would be able to identify it as SABRE brand. |

Soon after the alarm, Team Street heard the heavy, stampeding footsteps of Team Sewer stampeding up to Team Sky. |

"If we had the skills to turn that particular thing off in advance, this whole operation wouldn't have been necessary, Miss Watts !" It was easy as that. Finding the blood and other traces was a game-changer, though. Henderson away from the centre of the corridor and against the wall, the gun still pointed forward. He pointed at the trail of blood and the door and held two fingers up. If there were no two coming up, he would go himself. Although he wasn't sure, they would have to see if the quota of volunteers was high enough. |

Emily grinned at Henderson for his counter remark. She was just poking a bit of fun. Holding her pistol at the ready she nodded. She wasn't all that familiar with alarms so she couldn't make out the brand just from hearing it. Either way she followed Henderson's lead and made her way to the door. She had done clearing operations in urban environments before so this wouldn't be anything new to her. She stacked up on the door and nodded to the other. When he opened the door she would take on the fatal front then switch to the dominant corner, hopefully the other individual would follow in immediately after her and take the left. |

Moshe cooperatively followed Emily's lead, and under Henderson's supervision, they opened what turned out to be a broom closet. The closet was filled with brooms, buckets, a mop, various detergents, and a large blue dufflebag with something large inside of it. |

Emily sighed to herself when she saw how hopelessly useless the room turned out to be. Still, a lot could be learned about someone from the things that were kept in a cleaning closet. As dumb as it may sound, practices that were fronts for something more sinister tended to have a dilapidated cleaning closet. They sure had one, but it was run down, and usually they tended to keep a few things in there that they shouldn't. Emily crouched down to inspect the dufflebag. It was the only thing that truly stuck out. |

The duffle bag was large, heavy and filled with something lumpy that barely fit inside of it. On opening it, she discovered the staked body of Deputy Sheriff Marlow-Diaz. Her throat was slit, she was riddled with bullets, and her armor, clothes, and flesh had been cut away to make a path for the stake. Immediately after this discovery, everyone heard the sounds of someone rapidly approaching down stairs. A man caring a burning flare ran into view, brandishing it, apparently intending to try and ward off the vampires with the fire and run past out the door. (( OOC: This man is mortal. Depending on your actions, you may subdue him, or he may escape. Other objectives and combats are almost resolved, to these will likely be the last posts for this mission. )) |

Emily's eyes widened when she saw the woman inside the bag. For Emily there was only a small flicker of recognition. She had seen this woman before. Of course she couldn't place exactly when that would have been, nor could she remember who this person was. Just when it was about to dawn on Emily that Jane was one of the two attempting to become Sheriff a man came by wielding a fiery stick. At first there was a flicker of fear in Emily's eyes, but it vanished, quickly replaced with an insulted glare. "Please," Emily scoffed quietly to herself. Despite her mocking of the fiery brand, she didn't feel like getting close to it. With a flicker of Auspex, she quickly learned that he was also a disgusting blood bag. She really didn't feel like touching a mortal. So she leveled her gun with the man. "Stop where you are," Emily ordered, cocking the hammer back on the .45. She knew he might be frightened, angry, or determined. Either way she used dementation to dull his emotions. Whatever it was that had him so set on exiting that door should vanish. And if it didn't, well, she would wing him with her pistol. What she wasn't going to do was let him get away. |

Emily's gun and emotional manipulation were enough to stop the runner in his tracks. He put his hands over his head, and consented, trembling with fear, to being taken. If Emily did not object, Henderson black bagged and his minions vanished the man. While this was happening, Moshe unstaked Jane and helped her to the van Team Street had brought, that was being used to transport injured vampires back to the safe house. Henderson collected Blackwood and all of the materials the various teams had found. He thanked them for their help and anticipated that this would be what they needed to help the Keeper. Congratulations--you have completed Zippo Run. |
