George and the others had been led through the tunnels by a gruff figure in trenchcoat and hat, hiding his face behind sunglasses and a broad scarf called Griffin. Luckily they didn't have to breathe, because sewers being sewers, they handled, well, sewage. And contrary to popular belief, there was not always a sort of pavement to keep feet and trousers out of the sewage. The annoying bit was that everything down here looked pretty similar with the big concrete tubes and only an occasional lamp next to a maintenance access, so they were dependent on their own lights, light they had hopefully provided. Still there was all sorts of dirt running along their legs, even some drowned rats and other animal corpses were following the current with their bellies up and in different states of rot, from freshly dead to maggot infested. As they closed in on their target (or at least that was what their guide claimed), the waste was shifting away from domestic waste and more towards industrial waste. Now they also had to deal with rusty barrels and other debris. One of them perhaps even spotted something that vaguely looked like a human hand as it drifted by in the edge of their lights. The skittering movements at the edge of their vision were also an issue, as any attention seemed to make them disappear. The tubes became more and more narrow and finally, Griffin pointed them at a small dead end, telling them they were now under the building and wishing them luck, success and at least a bit of fun before turning his back and disappearing without further ado. The connection was bad, but that would change when they were in, right ? |

With the flames only slowly dieing down, the two Brujah had three options: They could press on through the flames to get upstairs as quickly as possible, turn back and look for another way to their intended destination or smply wait for the flames to die down to be able to continue unharmed. Which one would they have ? |

Ronnie's beast took over, and he ran away, downstairs. When he came to senses again he had reached the hole that lead back to the canalisation. He wasn't really very motivated to go back into that deathtrap. Maybe he should simply go back. If George so badly wanted to continue with this shit, then he should better do it alone. Ronnie had enough. Of fires, of London, of everything. |

And once again the beast threatened to break the chains holding it due to all the fire blocking the way up. After a while of internal struggle George concentrated on the goal: the cure. Besides if the others had similar problems, it wouldn't be good to just run, but he could understand Ronnie... Then he reloaded the flare gun and advanced through the flames. Others were in dire straights as well maybe and needed help, besides time was ticking against them, so acting quick was a necessity... |

George advanced. He would see whether Ronnie was going to return or not, he had fled the other way and had vanished where they had come from. The flames very slowly died down, barely noticable for the Brujah as he stepped past the sizzling corpse and made it to a door. It was a metal door with a glass window and he could see stairs leading up through it. He also thought he had seen movement. Or had he ? |

Ronnie was uncertain what to do. He saw that there were further burns on his body, he could feel it, too. He decided to leave London after this shit here, he had run out of money anyway. But could he really leave George alone? Ronnie hesitated, but finally he went back to have a look if George was all right. The fire was gone luckily, and George was standing in front of a door. Another damn door, really great. "Let´s get this shit over with. So are we gonna open the door or not?" |

George opened the door. On the other side of the door was an empty hallway. Down the fall from them, was another heavy door that had been systematically torn off its hinges. The humming noise of the generator came from there. That had to be cryostorage. They heard noises coming from within. Someone moving around. ((OOC: Congradulations Team Sewer, you have encountered the tattered remnants of Team Street. Sawyer should now post his actions in this thread.)) |

Uneasily aware he was alone, Sawyer gathered the correct vials and samples as quickly as he could, taking the papers from the register (assuming they can be ripped out) and folding them in his jacket pocket for Wilke and Blackman to look over later. Next, he removed the sleeping ghouled mouse from the opposite pocket, poking it until its beady black eyes opened and he could have a few words with it [Feral Speech]. Through a silent glance, he instructed it to find either Avir or his remains as quickly as possible, then to return to him. He made sure to let the mouse know that he would be heading back the way he came. The mouse, despite the fact that it had a brain the size of an acorn, seemed to understand all this. Hooray, animalism. After sending off the furry little spy, he slipped the samples into his black backpack, storing them properly as Wilke had instructed the teams prior to the mission. Then he drew his pistol, hoping he was still alone. Quite suddenly, the noises stopped. Unaware that the remnants of Team Street were on his trail, Sawyer had [Vanished From The Mind's Eye]. |

Ronnie followed George. "Damn, there´s somebody in there", Ronnie whispered. Ronnie still had his dagger and got it out, holding it in his right hand. "If it´s another enemy, we´ll finish him off." Then the noises were suddenly gone. Maybe someone was waiting for them to attack them? But the two Brujah were warned, so they would look out for enemies. |

Damn! So much for creeping up on the enemy. Why the hell did an alarm go off? And it might mean, that soon the police or more enemies might come. So - no point to hesitate any longer. No matter if George also came, Ronnie went into the direction where he had heard somebody. Maybe that somebody was still there? Ronnie held the dagger in his hand, ready for attacking. |

Ronnie was heading very quickly down the hall and up the stairs. The next time NPC posts to this thread, he will be able to enter the thread with Team Sky. The alarm from above continued to blare. To those familiar with security, it sounded like a personal alarm system rather than a building-wide one. Those very familiar with security would be able to identify it as SABRE brand. |

That damn alarm was beginning to get on Ronnie´s nerves. But he kept going forward. If only he could make that noise stop. Ronnie wasn´t familiar with such alarms, so he didn´t recognise what sort of alarm it was. |

George went on through the door and through the door, the flare gun ready and keeping an eye out for possible surprises. Then the alarm sounded, a personal, as it seemed, not the general building alarm, which might be better for them... "That noise might be good for us... Perhaps we are closer to the target than we think, so I think we should risk it..." While he spoke, his other hand drew the entrenchment tool and prepared to engage whatever was up there and a faint smile crept onto his face. Just like in the old days... |

Ronnie arrived in Team Sky's hallway, followed closely by George, and possibly Sawyer, if he decides to follow. Post there now! |
