The Kindred Chronicle
Key Figures
THE MONSTER OF EALING
Last night, several people reported the sighting of a "screaming red monster" in a quiet neighbourhood of Ealing. After a power shortage in the area, a building caught fire. It was then when, what was described as a "man shaped, footless creature" emerged from the flames, leaping, running, and screaming. One woman has told our reporters that the man had "teeth like a wolf, and the face of the devil". Police officers are still trying to get to the bottom of this; neither the power shortage nor the fire have still been explained. A spokesperson from Scotland Yard has stated that the "so called monster" might be a wounded person, escaping the fire.

TRAGEDY IN TOOLEY STREET
The police has found the bodies of three TFL workers in the construction site at Tooley Street. One of their colleagues raised the alarms last week, when the three workers didn't attend their shifts. The bodies of the men have been found in a deep hole, uncovered by the refurbishment works that are taking place in the area. According to the Police, the bodies were horribly mutilated, which has led to the wildest speculations. The names of the three workers are being kept anonymous, following the wishes of their families.

HOROSCOPE
MARCH 8 - PISCES
You are used to making sacrifices, to prioritising the happiness of others before yours. Even though that is a noble attitude, there are times in life where the only healthy alternative is to embrace your own selfishness and allow yourself some enjoyment. Reserve one hour per day to do something you really like. Treat yourself! Your colour for this month is blue.
Echoes from the past ring back into London. Their intensity increases until they are deafening. What once was a faded memory of a glorious time, now becomes a shocking reality. The consequences of actions taken decades ago ripple into the present, altering the lives of everybody in the City. Unguided and blind, Kindred wander around, trying to make profit out of the reigning chaos.

The appearance of four mysterious figures turned the city upside down. Mistrust and jealousy became the official currency of London. Serpents and fiends rise to power, misdirecting the blaming eyes of the Camarilla towards imaginary enemies. Only those with clear vision and the ability to trust each other strive, while the rest run towards a shallow grave.

Welcome To The Night

You find yourself in London on a dreary, foggy night like any other. But what lurks in the shadows is the stuff of fantasies and nightmares, far from mortal reality.

This game uses the cursed and immortal vampiric condition as a backdrop to explore themes of morality, depravity, the human condition, salvation, and personal horror. We are a writing and roleplaying community dedicated to telling complex and engaging stories.

Your fate is your own. Mingle among the ivory-tower elite in the Camarilla, join the fight of the discontented and chaotic Anarch rabble, or set out independently and attempt to survive in London's nighttime underworld. Anything is possible in our World of Darkness.

Hi!

I'm getting started with this whole thing. My character has been approved (huzzah!), and I'm facing some dilemmas.

Graham entered torpor in 2004. Before that, he owned a prestigious and quite successful restaurant, the Brando, where, after hours, he served his special preparations of blood for selected vampiric clientele. The place was specially successful among Toreadors, although some Malks were attracted to it to. Also, he could have had some connections with the Nosferatu, who could have helped him acquiring rare breeds of all kinds of cattle.

If there is any Vampire who lived in London ten years ago, and who frequented the Brando, and who knew Graham back then, please let me know!

Thanks!

Off the top of head, I can offer three vamps I know that have been connected with London for that amount of time. One is the Seneshal / Nossie Primoge (although he didn't hold any office back then),The Brujah Primogen (again, without the office, back then) and Gideon.

Other chars might be eligible, but the main number of residents is immigrants actually. Did the place also cater to non-Cam ?

Hum! I guess some Anarchs or independents could have been customers of the Brando. Of course, only those who could fit into the "posh" category, which is quite hard for most Anarchs.

The Nossie Prim (without the office) could have been connected to the restaurant in a number of ways; providing "ingredients" or hard to find pieces of equipment, helping preserving the Masquerade after hours... In that case, Graham would have been in debt with him, and could have helped him in return allowing him to use the venue as a network hub, feeding him, and establishing a useful Malk - Nossie connection.

The place was quite popular back then, and most of the Camarilla elite frequented it, sometimes even Prince LeMort (I just checked it out; he was a Toreador). For anyone interested in politics, that restaurant was a wonderful place to make useful connections.

Anyway, it can also be interesting for Graham waking up to a city he knows, populated with Vampires he's never seen before. I'm just trying to find a middle point.

Thanks!

Hi Graham,

Any interest in a Giovanni connection? My PC was not an inhabitant of London back then, but he would have passed through on business occasionally. Being a Gio with the clan curse, he would have appreciated a hot meal. :)

Hi Neil,

That would be fantastic, indeed. If you want, PM me and we can arrange something in the "Thyme and Punishment" flashback thread.

Cheers!

Of my three characters, only Vanth was around back then. And we've got a backstory for the two of them, even if it is not a happy-happy friends friends one. XD

Lol! I was thinking on PMing you something soon, to work out that nasty relationship... I still need to focus on that, but it can be quite interesting.

Anyway, we still have to mess up the up and coming relationship between the cook and the Prince. It will be really bad if all your characters are in bad terms with Mason. ;)

The Prince actually has a tendency to like and even hire Malkavians. His scourge, one of his sheriffs and one of his (now-former) ghouls are Malkavian.

Oh! That's fantastic. I noticed there were quite a lot of Malks on the Camarilla's payroll. I hope they'll meet in the next few days, then.

Cheers!

Hmm I'd need to go dig up in my old files but I think 2004 was before my character was approached by the Sabbat if that kind of twists interest you.
