The Kindred Chronicle
Key Figures
THE MONSTER OF EALING
Last night, several people reported the sighting of a "screaming red monster" in a quiet neighbourhood of Ealing. After a power shortage in the area, a building caught fire. It was then when, what was described as a "man shaped, footless creature" emerged from the flames, leaping, running, and screaming. One woman has told our reporters that the man had "teeth like a wolf, and the face of the devil". Police officers are still trying to get to the bottom of this; neither the power shortage nor the fire have still been explained. A spokesperson from Scotland Yard has stated that the "so called monster" might be a wounded person, escaping the fire.

TRAGEDY IN TOOLEY STREET
The police has found the bodies of three TFL workers in the construction site at Tooley Street. One of their colleagues raised the alarms last week, when the three workers didn't attend their shifts. The bodies of the men have been found in a deep hole, uncovered by the refurbishment works that are taking place in the area. According to the Police, the bodies were horribly mutilated, which has led to the wildest speculations. The names of the three workers are being kept anonymous, following the wishes of their families.

HOROSCOPE
MARCH 8 - PISCES
You are used to making sacrifices, to prioritising the happiness of others before yours. Even though that is a noble attitude, there are times in life where the only healthy alternative is to embrace your own selfishness and allow yourself some enjoyment. Reserve one hour per day to do something you really like. Treat yourself! Your colour for this month is blue.
Echoes from the past ring back into London. Their intensity increases until they are deafening. What once was a faded memory of a glorious time, now becomes a shocking reality. The consequences of actions taken decades ago ripple into the present, altering the lives of everybody in the City. Unguided and blind, Kindred wander around, trying to make profit out of the reigning chaos.

The appearance of four mysterious figures turned the city upside down. Mistrust and jealousy became the official currency of London. Serpents and fiends rise to power, misdirecting the blaming eyes of the Camarilla towards imaginary enemies. Only those with clear vision and the ability to trust each other strive, while the rest run towards a shallow grave.

Welcome To The Night

You find yourself in London on a dreary, foggy night like any other. But what lurks in the shadows is the stuff of fantasies and nightmares, far from mortal reality.

This game uses the cursed and immortal vampiric condition as a backdrop to explore themes of morality, depravity, the human condition, salvation, and personal horror. We are a writing and roleplaying community dedicated to telling complex and engaging stories.

Your fate is your own. Mingle among the ivory-tower elite in the Camarilla, join the fight of the discontented and chaotic Anarch rabble, or set out independently and attempt to survive in London's nighttime underworld. Anything is possible in our World of Darkness.

It was early evening and Janette was looking over the memos in her inbox. One in particular caught her interest and she immediately picked up her phone...

"Hello, this is Dr. Janette Adler calling for Ms. Carter, or should I say Nurse Carter? I would like to arrange a time when we could meet..."

Lessa stared at her phone as the voice on the other end called her Nurse Carter. Then again, she had hardly been hiding her profession from anyone she met. So, the best guess was that one of them must have mentioned her to Doctor Adler, for SOME reason.

"This is Nurse Carter. What can I do for you, Doctor Adler?"

And more to the point, how did you get this number? But starting off by being rude wouldn't be a good idea. She had done quite enough of that this week, really.

There are extensive files at Kaegan Sanatorium. Janette Adler writes many of them; but forgets that she does. Dictating the information that the Madness Network brings is always an unconscious experience. But, these things are important to document. After all, this is science! The files are vital to her study of the Kin-dred culture; the spread of the unknown disease and the delusions it creates.

Dr. Adler herself suffers from these delusions, another reason that her files are important, and must be kept accurately and up to date. She had recently completed a course of treatment; and so had certified herself competent to continue her practice.

She said "Nurse Carter. Wonderful to hear from you. I wonder if you wouldn't mind coming to see me at Kaegan Sanatorium, down here in Sutton. I think we can be of great help to each other."

"While I should perhaps not look a gift horse in the mouth, can I ask how you heard of me? I am, after all, only recently arrived. This phone call is quite unexpected."

She doubted she had any enemies all the way over here, this was still a rather odd, and therefore suspicious, phone call.

Dr. Adler spoke reassuringly "Oh! Certainly. I have a memo here to call you. Not a lot of details on it. I get memos like this all the time. I'm sure you must have informed the prince or something about your occupation, your interests?"

There was a pause. "Did you intend to practice your profession while in London?" Janette asked.

"I've informed a great many people about my profession, though the Prince is not yet one of them. I have yet to meet with him, That meeting is for..." She looks at her date book "Tomorrow. But yes, if I'm allowed to stay, I do hope to be able to practice, here. But, perhaps this conversation should be continued in person. I will see you in a little while, then. As soon as I figure out how to get there. This city is bloody confusing."

Okay, she may be walking into a lion's den, but it wasn't every night that work came looking for you. Perhaps it would be worth the risk.

Janette made a dismissive sound "Oh, the prince is sure to let you stay. Ventrue and all that. I will be in my office all night if you wanted to meet now; but I understand if you wish to wait until the prince formally accepts you into the city. Who knows! I might be able to help with that if he knows we will be working together in the hospitals!"

Janette made a quick note to herself to prepare a memo for the prince... wait, did she already send that? She would have to check the file.

After a strange pause, Janette gave Lessa some directions, and the address and phone number of Kaegan Sanatorium.

She said "Its the Victorian Manor on the hill in Sutton, you can see it from most of the borough, along with a few other old houses just down the way."

And she knew her clan too. Curiouser and curiouser as Alice said.

"Then I shall see you shortly, Doctor Adler."

She considered having Beverly drive her, then decided to just call a cab. And one of these nights, she should really have Bev reteach her how to drive. This was getting a bit ridiculous, really.
