| Welcome To The Night You find yourself in London on a dreary, foggy night like any other. But what lurks in the shadows is the stuff of fantasies and nightmares, far from mortal reality. This game uses the cursed and immortal vampiric condition as a backdrop to explore themes of morality, depravity, the human condition, salvation, and personal horror. We are a writing and roleplaying community dedicated to telling complex and engaging stories. Your fate is your own. Mingle among the ivory-tower elite in the Camarilla, join the fight of the discontented and chaotic Anarch rabble, or set out independently and attempt to survive in London's nighttime underworld. Orissa's correct and brings up something I constantly forget about mask- because I play a Nossie, I assume mask always requires blood to work. For a Nossie, this is true. With an appearance of zero, you're always going to be raising your appearance when you wear someone else's face. Zero appearance isn't just ugly; it's an appearance that cannot plausibly pass as a living human. So anything is an improvement to that, and even an ugly albeit living face would require blood expenditure. Sawyer, as I sometimes mention in posts, uses an exhausting amount of blood maintaining his mask (probably part of why he doesn't mask in Blythe House at all anymore). To raise his zero appearance to three or four, he's using three to four blood points. Now, we don't have points in appearance or blood pool as such, but the basic idea remains the same. City Gangrel probably have to spend blood to hide frenzy traits, but Malkavians, Assamites, and Setites would only have to if they're passing as significantly more attractive than their normal appearance would be. Different clans, different approaches to a discipline. |
