Strange things have been going on in the Hither Green Cemetery in the Garden of Remembrance. South East London has been growing unquiet of late. Pets have been disappearing, as have homeless people. Officials have no explanation as to why. No bodies have been found and there has been no upsurge of crime reported to the police. But there has been a surge in Urban Legends in the area. There are those who claim that the shadows of Hither Green Cemetery move at night. The Whovian slogan “count the shadows” has recently been spray painted across one of the external walls. Several old residents refer to a time during the Second World War; they claimed that those who hid within the cemetery during the blitz were never seen again. They called it “the bombing cloud” and said that when the city went dark for fear of the bombs, anyone in the park would never be seen again. Now those oldsters claim that the Bombing Cloud has returned, perhaps awoken by the recent terrorist activities in the city. But the old folks in the local neighborhood have begun to refuse to leave their homes at night. Claiming the bombing cloud occurs only on the darkest nights, and that during the blitz bodies were found drained of blood, their hearts, lungs and organs eaten away by some horrible thing. Police have so far refused to investigate because there have been no official missing persons reported. They consider it mere local superstition. |

The dog vanished in the darkness again and after a few seconds it seemed it won't return so quickly. Clarice would rather help her teammates for now, even if the beast might want to attack while she's off the guard. Franca was closest to her right now, and so Clarice lunged at the shepherd that wanted to eat her alive. She tried to go for its legs, so it won't have a chance to run away or attack such vital spots as head and throat. It seemed optimal to finish them off one by one |

As the dog was was savaging her, Franca had two possible courses of action - to fight for her unlife and those of her mates, as reason suggested, or to hit mindlessly whatever in sight to uttermost total destruction, as a darker voice was growling in her ear. Caught in a fight against a beast and a Beast, she did her best to keep herself in check and hit once more the animal where it was already injured, hoping to overcome is thick skin [Potence]. Clarice was attacking it from the rear - definitely not time to anything reckless. Edited by Franca, Monday, 25. August 2014, 17:58.

Margo was now moving at Toreador super-speed. She hopped up on a gravestone and pushed more blood into her muscles. She waited on another charge of massive doggie ghouls. When they charged again Margo attempted to leap onto one of their backs from the top of the gravestone (action 1). She stabbed in her knife as deep as she could and gripped onto it for dear life (action 2). She then grabbed on somewhere else with her free hand, also for dear life (action 3). Lastly, Margo tried to sink her supernaturally sharp fangs into the things hide. Not to tear open its flesh, but to tap into its blood. She wanted to take a nice drink of dog and introduce it to the numbing effects of the vampire kiss (action 4) Combat Note

Max heard a snarl behind him. So "his" beast was back. But this time Max was a lot faster than before, and his supernatural speed was faster than the dog´s. He made a big jump forward, and during that jump he was turning sideways, so that he could see the dog (action 1). After he had landed on the ground he ran towards the dog, trying to ram his dagger into its flesh with full force (action 2). He would then try to jump a bit backwards, while still holding the dagger tight, so it would be pulled out of the flesh if he had managed to stab (action 3). And then he would turn into a frightening beast himself [Presence: Dread Gaze] and hiss at the dog (action 4). Disciplines

Max did indeed manage to sink his blade deep into the side of a huge bull mastiff, though the injury seemed to affect it far less than he might have expected. The animal snarled and twisted and seemed unfazed by the snarling visage before it. The animal lunged forward in a furious frenzy, it's jaws snapping as it set out to tear the man's limbs free with it's huge jaws. Franca's blood slammed into the side of the German Shepherd and drew another yelp out of it and Clarice's tackle tangled it's hind legs. This didn't stop the animal from snapping once more with angry jaws. Nor did it stop the second German Shepherd from lunging out of the darkness towards Clarice's prone form and attempt to snap at the Malkavian's back to free it's pack mate. The Great Dane meanwhile seemed like a wild beast and Margo's blade skittered off it's back like metal scraping across metal, leaving a superficial scratch but not much else. The huge dog then started rolling and thrashing it's 400 lbs weight and making it nigh impossibly for Margo's fangs to manage to sink into the thick fortitude enhanced hide. The huge dog wasn't trying to bite at the moment, merely rolling along the ground like a thing possessed to try and shake off the Toreador doing her impression of a rodeo clown. |

Undercutting this beast wasn't so easy, the skin was about as hard to cut through as solid leather. And yet, with use of her full strength, she managed to make the huge arse collapse. Franca's mighty strike almost certainly finished it off The sounds of agony didn't let Clarice catch the sound of charging shepherd until it got really close. Thanks to her reflexes, she could avoid having her neck broken, but it wasn't a successful dodge attempt either. Instead, the dog clenched its jaw around her shoulder, hurling her petite body aside. Her limp hand dropped the dagger somewhere in the grass, it would take a while to restore full mobility. For now she reached to her bag for one of pocket knives and tried to damage beast's nose or eyes, hoping the pain would be crippling enough to buy her some time |

Margo certainly felt like a rodeo clown as she was thrown off the rolling juggernaut. She crashed into a gravestone which cracked from the impact. Margo grunted. "Well, that was my second dumb idea today..." She scrambled up onto her feet and readied her knife for the next attack. With her supernatural speed she would try to sidestep and stab at the beast with both hands on her knife. |

The dog, although suffering, was apparently strong enough to bite her once more. Reacting with supernatural speed, Franca tried to knock it to the ground (action 1), bite it where its skin was wounded (action 2) and suck it dry (action 3). Using Celerity was taxing and she was going to need more blood to heal... However, if action 1 or 2 failed she'd use the remaining time to hit again. Not having a monster dog at her neck would have been a good result anyway... |

Damn, that beast was tough and fearless as well... Max used [Celerity] again, otherwise he couldn´t be fast enough to avoid being ripped to pieces. If that continued like this he would soon have lost too much blood. The Brujah jumped upwards to escape those snapping jaws (action 1), tried to land on the beast or beside it and tear another wound into it with his dagger (action 2), trying to hang onto the dog and biting with his fangs into the wound and start drinking (action 3). If it was not possible to drink, then Max would shoot off to take cover, so that he could attack from there a bit later (action 4). If that dog managed to tear a complete arm or leg off then he was almost finished, that mustn´t happen. |

The beast snarling and biting at Clarice was infernally strong [Potence 2] and refused to release it's grip on her. Instead the animal following it's instincts began to shake it's head from side to side in an attempt to break the body of the vampire in it's jaws. It was a tactic that had always worked upon the mortals it had fought. The Great Dane facing Margo couldn't match her speed, but it had it's own supernatural speed and it leveled two ripping bites at her as it twisted and raced in against her, clearly looking to bowl the Rose over. Her hands dragged a cut down the animal's side, but it didn't seem to do much damage. Even with her body strengthened the woman's muscles were having a hard time penetrating the [Fortitude 2] of the beast's hide. Franca knocked her beast down, her strength a match for the ghouled German Shepherd and she did indeed manage to sink her fangs into it's slashed open side, allowing her teeth to get in through the supernaturally tough skin. The beast's body held blood, though it tasted foul and near half congealed, and only a third the blood a normal human would carry. The animal let out a whimper and went still under the supernatural pleasure of the Kiss. Like the Great Dane the Bull Mastiff was a cagey fighter and rolled as soon as Max attempted to jump onto it's back. The huge animal suffered a brutal slash against it's stomach as the Brujah's potence forced the blade through it's fortitude enhanced skin. The animal refused to still long enough for the vampire's fangs to sink into it's flesh however and managed to squirm away and race into the darkness. For the moment it appeared to be retreating. |

Margo was trying to avoid getting bit as she danced around the dane, but even so they were surprisingly fast and again she got nipped, this time a bite on her forearm. She yelped. Seeing what was happening with Clarice, Margo cursed. These beasts were chewing them up. Thank goodness Franca had one down. Okay... Clarice. Teamwork. Right. Margo flew through the graveyard to attack the beast with its Jaws on Clarice. It was shaking its head around, but at least it wasn't running. She tried to return the favor and attacked the beast with her own jaw. Fangs out, the quickened Margo bit at the beast biting Clarice, again and again. If her fangs finally found purchase, she would drink dog. |

It would have seemed that hitting the ground means being released, having a chance to get up and fight back. It would be that way in a fight with humans and a few animal species. She wasn't prepared for a dog with alligator-like jaws, a dog with tremendous strength. She lost control, seeing her surroundings as rapidly shifting, blurry image. Hearing wasn't reliable anymore, the only thing she felt was horrible, rending pain in her shoulder. It felt as if she was about to lose entire arm, along with the collar bone. Not much could be done with her remaining hand, she could only blindly flail and hope the beast suffers some wounds |

That was the most awful blood ever tasted but it did its job. Since the threat was gone she realized more clearly in how poor conditions her chest and neck were reduced. Since nobody was attacking, and fighting while injured was not the smartest choice, Franca took her time to heal herself, consuming blood to rebuild her damaged tissues. Finally she retreated from the exanguinated dog, stood up and looked around to see who was most in need of help. |

Max had shot off and saw that the fierce bull mastiff had vanished. That for sure was a challenging opponent even for an experienced fighter like him. As that beast was gone for now he should attack another one. He saw that the Malkavian was helpless, held by massive jaws, the beast was even shaking its head manically. Margo seemed to be about to help her, but would that be enough? Max used some more blood to activate his [Celerity] and ran towards the beast, taking care to attack from a different side than Margo, trying to stab the dog with his dagger (action 1), and if he succeeded he wouldn´t pull the dagger out yet but hold onto it and try to start drinking blood from the wound (action 2). If he didn´t succeed immediatly he would try to do the same once again (action 3 + 4). |

The vampires ganged upon upon the German Shepherd mauling Clarice, Max and Margo attacking it with celerity fueled fury and the animal could do little to defend itself, it's jaws full with the vampire it was biting. The two who bit at it gained little more than a single pint of foul noxious blood between them, the rest spraying out onto the grass from Max's dagger slash. The animal dropped Clarice from lifeless jaws as the vampires drained it. Franca drained her dog, which was bruised and had a broken shoulder from the repeated blows of her hammer, three pints of precious blood entering her body, foul tasting and toxic seeming though it was. Her wounds mended as she spent some of that blood to recover from the mauling. But this left two dogs unaccounted for, and they were not idle. The Great Dane and the Bull Mastiff, largest and strongest of the dogs lunged in at full celerity and both leveled their huge jaws at Max's legs while the Brujah was entangled and feeding from the German Shepherd, each animal sought to tear two great mouthfuls of potence enhanced flesh from the Brujah. The beasts seemed maddened, near frenzy with rage and both had heavy lines of bloody drool slavering from their jaws. Each beast was fully strong enough to tear a man's leg from his body and they seemed determined to do just that with their supernaturally strong bites, using their Master's blood to strike fast and fiercely. Teamwork it seemed would aid the vampires in fighting these powerful animals, but there were challenges to that, for to gang up on one, required them to leave another without an opponent, and the beasts were well trained to fight together themselves. |

Upon being released, the first thing she saw was Mr. Keller and Margo draining the brute empty. Weren't they fighting other dogs before? The answer came faster than she could pick herself up from the ground, even more monstrous creatures were after Mr. Keller. Maybe it was just weird impression she's got, but they seemed to mimic their moves There was no way she could do serious harm with puny knife she held in her left hand. First she had to search the grass for the dagger and do something with her wrecked shoulder, lot of bones were crushed, not to mention ruptured tendons and muscles. But looking on the bright side, she couldn't be infected with rabies or any flesh-rotting microbes |

When Franca rose her head, she saw Max was being attacked by two dogs simultaneously. With supernatural speed, she run in help of her clansmate, attacking the Bull Mastiff (just because it was the closest one) and hitting its back repeatedly, trying her best to break its spine. At worst, she hoped to distract the beast from Max, so that each could deal with a single dog. Margo and Clarice were now free and, while injured, they were hopefully still able to provide some help. She was still wielding her hammer as a weapon of choice. While it hadn't proved more or less effective than daggers in delivering damage, it did spill less blood. Franca hoped to incapacitate the dog without wasting too much of it, since her companions might have needed it to recover. |

That blood tasted really horrible, but it was good to get some blood. Max reminded himself that there were still beasts who were alive, and they might attack any moment. He better shouldn´t waste too much time for drinking. While he thought that and stopped drinking he could feel a sharp pain in his legs. He used some more blood to activate his [Celerity] again, turned around and used his Potence to break free (action 1) and get away, turning around and trying to knock down the Great Dane with the full force of his Potence (action 2). Max jumped at the dog, trying to aim at its heart, but at least the beast should get a good stabbing (action 3) and another one (action 4). |

Margo spat out the taste of dog, but she needed the vitae. Her reserves were dwindling too quickly. Celerity came at a cost. Margo stood up from the fallen puppy on the ground that had been gnawing on Ms. Harris. She saw Franca go after the Bull Mastiff attacking Keller... she was on board with that idea. Now moving at normal speed, Margo dove over to where Franca was and attacked the same beast, biting at it with her enhanced strength and trying to sink in her fangs. |

Franca's blows fell on the spine of the already injured bull mastiff and a sharp crack echoed, the animal slumped as it's hind legs went out from under it as dead weight. The beast twisted an leveled two vicious bites at Margo as she dove in to bite. Caught up in it's frenzy the animal didn't fall into the normal stupor brought on by the a vampiric bite. But it was already dying, Franca's blows having added to the stab damage Max had inflicted on it finally managing to bring the small bear sized animal down. Margo would find two foul, partially congealed pints of blood for her drinking. Max was indeed stronger than the Great Dane and knocked it aside. His blow flipped the animal over onto it's back and his stabbing dagger pushed deep into it's side. The second stab also penetrated and arterial spray showered across the graveyard as the animal collapsed, there would be no blood to be gained from this beast. But it's long neck and head still managed to snake around and bite at Max one last time before it finally expired. |
