The red van serving as a taxi pulled over at a park in the middle of Ilford which was the point from which the group was supposed to advance into Redbridge, according to the plan at least. As soon as the last one of them got out of the vehicle it drove back to where it had come, leaving them behind. And there they were now... Three people alone amidst benches, a couple of trees and a patch of grass. On their own... |

So they were going to Redbridge at last. After all the questions and the anticipation. Franca already knew Leo and Lessa. She hadn't met Ellen before the briefing, but George seemed to trust her enough for that purpouse. Besides the equipment provided for everyone by George, Franca had brought the dagger she had managed to keep after the adventure in the sewers. She had a pocket lamp, too, in case they ended up in darker avenues, and a few stakes she had made from the scratch. She was wearing dark, 'disposable' clothes (which meant, she knew everything was going to be in poor conditions by the end of the night) and a bag with the bigger equipment - a hatchet was useful to have, but not easy to disguise otherwise, nor plausible to keep in your hand for a walk down the street... They had already talked about what to do - they had to reach the Sabbat haven while keeping their eyes open for any suspicious activity while they were on the way. She took out the map, where a big 'X' indicated their target. |

Ilford, eh? Lousy park aroud them looked safe so far. Ellen had a close look and turned back to the van that left as they were standing around like a bunch of people who'd just been left at some park. Wasn't the reason though. She chuckles as she checked her gear. Ooooopsie, looked like she'd forgotten her radio shit in the van, too bad! The Brujah checked the backpack and her pockets. Everything there! Included her short knife and the shortened steel bar she had brought with her. A disposable cheap mobile, a fake wallet with some money, a new travel dictionary russian-english and a cheap plastic bag with some other shit in it. She wore trainers, grey with purple highlights. Jeans were worn out with stuffed pockets, all sort of small shit that might come in handy or that she'd been able to grab. She'd gotten a throwaway shirt for this job, a grey t-shirt with a big Union Jack on it, 'London' above the flag, 'England' under it. Hair was long this time, partly covered with a 'I <3 London' cap. She put the big backpack with the bedroll on her back. The bedroll poked out from behind her head. "Whats the plan?" Pretty easy question, right? Fuck, where was this fucking... there ! Ellen fumbled the small box out of her pocket and put the brightly coloured sunglasses on. This shit would be fun, might as well start to have it right now! She beamed a grin at the others around her. |

Behind the red van a Harley stopped and a black dressed man got off, while the driver after a firm handshake drove off, right after the van again. Leo walked over to the ladies, his dark eyes roaming the closer area. The Gangrel wore black security boots, a black cargo pant and a black turtle neck around his upper body he had a rope, about 6 meters with a collapsible anchor on one end, in one pocket he had his smartphone in a flat plastic box , on the other side a bundle of cable ties, a roll of ducttape and a multifunctional tool, with a little saw blade, screwdrivers, wrenches and stuff. On his belt he had the radio, that was provided to them and on his left side a hunting knife with a black blade. Since he knew Franca and Lessa, the other one must be the anarch... looked like she was on her way to Woodstock... hopefully she left the dope at home. Observing the surrounding he waited for the leaving command. Silent as most of the time. Edited by Leo Fleming, Friday, 26. September 2014, 23:10.

Lessa was as prepared as she could be. Dressed in the same t-shirt, and sneakers, she wore for her Fortitude training, and a loose pair of jeans that she had sparred in in the past and knew gave her almost as much freedom of movement as her yoga pants but without being the slightest bit conspicuous. Her thigh holster had been refitted to once again hold a gun, an extra ammo clip, and two stakes. Her shortsword had been strapped to her back. Over all of this was a knee-length raincoat, worn more to hide her weapons than anything else. Thank the Gods for stupid English weather and the fact that a raincoat wouldn't look out of place, since you never know when it's going to start pouring out of a perfectly clear sky. Her hair had been pulled up into a tight bun. It had only taken Arthur grabbing her ponytail to whip her head around once to convince her that when you know you may be fighting for your life, you don't give your opponent anything he can grab onto. She nods a greeting to the others, and then waits for further instructions. |

While they were waiting, a cold gust of wind was suddenly blowing and a bit of fog arose. From time to time people passed by, wondering about those people standing idly in a park. Time seemed to crawl and hours seemed to pass until finally it happened: The radios came to life and a female voice most of them didn't know spoke the long awaited words... "Headquarters to group two: Everything is set, the game can begin ! I repeat: Everything is set, the game can begin !" Apparently that was the signal they had waited for. |

The streets weren't as empty as Franca would have liked - but it was no big surprise, the area was well inhabited and it wasn't that late either... Anyway, there wasn't anything inherently suspicious in them, was it? They could seem, uh, tourists? Or random odd people, really - London was a big city and full of weirdos of any kind. Their target, at least, was supposedly more isolated, being at the end of a row of abandoned buildings. "Whats the plan?" Ellen's voice broke the silence. More a rhetorical question than anything else - they've discussed the 'plan' as thoroughly as they could - but then, they had to talk about something while waiting for orders. "Well, by now we just walk to the place and keep our eyes open... then it all depends on what we find". Some redundancy didn't hurt, although she stayed away from suspicious words. She showed the map, the course had already been highlighted. They could seem a group of harmless visitors, couldn't they? Well, they could only hope they did. Then, a message from their radios. "Headquarters to group two: Everything is set, the game can begin ! I repeat: Everything is set, the game can begin !" "Okay, I think we all know what to do". Assuming the others would go along and there was no issue, she'd just walk in the determined direction. |

Leo's gaze searched the map for short, then he nodded and followed Franca, when she started to move. "...the game can begin..." As if it was a game, they went for. Maybe a game like in ancient Rome, when the Lions went to rip the christians to shreds. He guessed the christians didn't find that game so funny either. Shaking his head to get rid of these useless thoughts and started to observe the street they were walking. |

So this was it and they were on their way. Yay. Two people dressed like Neo after he'd run across PETA and needed to get rid of the leather shit and one who didn't look suspicious at all. Ellen herself was one hell of an attention grabber, but that's what they said about tourists from the East, eh? No taste, no style, no manners and no orientation at all. Things came to that, she could play that role great and in a touristville like Redbridge - or on the way there - she'd figured it'd be a good way of hiding in plain sight. Didn't matter, the others started moving all in one bunch and with the black and the bags. Not suspicious at all. Allowed herself to fall behind. She'd keep an eye on the others, but thought it'd be better if people didn't immediately figured she belonged to those guys. She followed in a distance map in hand and checked for the others every once in a while to make sure they didn't get out of touch. Rest of the time she played her dumb tourist to the hilt and walked through the park with her eyes on her map. |

Lessa suppressed a giggle. Individually, they probably wouldn't have looked too out of place. But as a group? Oh well, nothing for it, now. She wasn't letting herself get separated from the others, even if that meant being a bit conspicuous. Fortitude could be awesome, but she'd really rather not have to rely on it too much. And so she stayed with Leo and Franca, and hoped they wouldn't attract the wrong kind of attention before they got where they were going. |

The group moved out and into the occupied territory with more or less ease. Things were quiet and there were only a few people to be seen, most of them banded together in small groups of two or three, carrying bags or looking a bit intoxicated. No one seemed to pay them any heed, but they still felt watched as they made their way along the streets and moved towards their target destination carefully. For now, they didn't enounter any major hindrances and could soon see a de-relict warehouse at the far end of the road. From what they could see, it was in a pretty bad shape and the sign on the door added to the impression that they were closing in on the location they were intent on reaching. What now ? (As you may have figured by now, I will be your captain for the Sabbat part of this ride. Surprise ! Lets see how this pans out, shall we ?) |

If something was hiding in Redbridge, it hadn't shown up until that point: they seemed to have reached their destination quite easily, without meeting major challenges but without discovering anything relevant, either. Franca wondered if the other group was around - they'd agreed to explore the neighbourhood separately, but to attack the target at the same time. She sent a text to George. text to George She assumed the Primogen's group could not be too far. They hadn't got any update, so most likely everything's gone smoothly for them as well. Unless... The other option wasn't to be considered, not without a good reason. Anyway, while waiting for a reply they could keep on walking towards the warehouse. "The asylum - she said - must be after those buildings. They seemed abandoned, but if indeed there are the creatures we expect, they may very well be hiding in there". Franca was quite positive they were in the right place: both the indications on the map and the description of the buildings seemed to match. With all that the place seemed deserted, as she spoke she checked no witness was showing up. She checked her well-disguised weapons. They were ready at hand, but she wouldn't have taken them out before it was needed. OOC

Leo followed Franca quietly, looking around, checking the smaller Groups, when they came a bit closer, sometimes also gazing up to the roofs. The hair on his necks back tingled, he felt like there were eyes burning in his back... A short stop, when Franca texted something and listened, when she spoke. Do you want to check the buildings? He doubted, they had the time for it on the other hand... holding their back clear could be a wise decision. Anyway it felt like someone or something was watching them and this road made him feel like a one way street right towards a big mousetrap. A fast look over his shoulder made sure, Lessa and the anarch were still with them... The Gangrel took a deep breath, maybe catching some of the smell of decay of these creatures in the air? Slowly a dimly prickle took place in his inner... hunting fever. Edited by Leo Fleming, Sunday, 12. October 2014, 13:09.

The plan had already been discusses - if possible, they would have got rid of the fleshcrafts before going into the asylum. How to deal with the search, however, was less of an obvious deal. "Not one by one, there are a lot of those buildings and I won't spend all the night here. But I'd say let's keep our ears open - a menagerie won't be that silent. Also, we'll have to check the buildings that are closer to the asylum; if the beasts are supposed to protect the haven they might be kept there". She noticed how Leo was now breathing deeply. "Anything weird in the air?" It wasn't the first time she had seen a Gangrel sniffing the surroundings; she wasn't sure how it was supposed to work, how different it was from the enhanced senses some other vampire had developed. Still, she was grateful to any of her mates who could have better perceptions that hers. OOC .

Leo didn't find any weird or out of the ordinary smells here that he wouldn't expect anyway. They came to a stop behind the corner of a warehouse. It was blackened and looked as if it had burned out, the remains standing in the street and poking out between the other warehouses like a rotten tooth with holes and tears in its structure, single bits arching to the sky. It spread a smell of cold ash that everyone in the team would notice. They had a better look at the target building now from their position though. It was a old-fashioned building, not unlike a mansion that borrowed a lot of victorian style. The facade had been dark green but had since faded to a light olive. In some places, the bricks could be seen where the paint and plastering had come off. Some of the spots had benn very crudely repaired. Heavy blinds blocked the windows from sight, the dark main door at the top of three steps loomed in the base of the building, daring them to come closer. The green before the house hadn't seen a gardener fora long time. The grass was long and the bushes had grown out of proportion. But before all of that, there was the fence, made of metal bars and wrought iron with spikes on top. The ornate gate was closed, a chain and a padlock secured them against intruders. Every now and then, a feint clicking sound could be heard between the cars that drove by somewhere in the bigger streets. What now ? |

George's text confirmed Franca's assumption. "Okay, the others have made it too". They were supposed to proceed separately, but it was good to know they were around and not stuck with some other unexpected enemy. She observed the warehouse they had reached. True, it could have been the result of an accidental damage, but she didn't believe in coincidences, not right out of a Sabbat haven. They had agreed to explore suspicious parts of the warehouses before assaulting the asylum, so that was probably the way to go. "I think we should go and see what's inside here" she said and, if there were no objection, would have looked for the closest passage. She proceeded carefully, checking every step and every possible anomaly in the structure. The building was heavily damaged and there might be no need to break through anything - which wouldn't have been an issue, anyway. |

Lessa was doing her best not to look as nervous as she felt. If you look like a victim you'll be treated like a victim, and all that. She had her hands in her pockets, though it wasn't as casual as it looked. Her right pocket had actually been cut out, and her hand was resting on her leg, inches from the butt of her gun. If there ws trouble, she likely wouldn't be as fast as Ellen and Franca - but she could still have that gun out and ready in a matter of seconds. She raised an eyebrow at Leo as he started sniffing the air and waited for him to tell them if he had found anything. But what the heck was that clicking noise? It was too faint for her to even figure out what direction it was coming from. |

Slowly Leo shook his head, no strange smells in the air, but the cold ashes of the warehouse they stood at. Good to know, the other ones were around too and he nodded to Franca, when she proposed to see, what was inside of this burned ruin. The Gangrel followed her, one hand he had lightly against the wall like he wanted to feel if the walls would vibrate or whatever. Squinting his eyes and looking for a doorway or a window where they could have a look inside or even enter the ruin. Listening carefully if there were sounds apart their own steps inside or around them. The smell of the burnt materials was covering almost everything. |

An entrance was easily found around the next corner, where the main gate was. It was still there and chained close, but there was a hole in the wall next to it, just big enough for a not too bulky person and it didn't look like it was there by accident. No, it was to cleanly put there to disregard it as not intentionally placed. Through the hole, they could see the darkness inside. The windows at the top just under the roof has all been boarded up and there was no lighting inside. All they could make out were a few big dark mountains, most likely crates under a tarp or something similar, but as thngs were, they couldn't know for sure just yet. Leo didn't feel any vibration in the wall. The smell of cold ashes got stronger the closer they got to the hole, but apart from the sounds they made, nothing else was heard. Leo spotted a small figure at one of the broken lamps nearby. Some sort of bird by the shape of it. |

There was something inside, but, given the thick shadows that filled the place, it was hard to tell what it was. Franca had noticed that Leo had been smelling the air and touching the wall and glancing around. What's up? she asked. Can you see what are those shapes? She took out her pocket lamp, in case they had to go inside, but she wouldn't have announced their arrival before it was needed. |
