The Kindred Chronicle
Key Figures
THE MONSTER OF EALING
Last night, several people reported the sighting of a "screaming red monster" in a quiet neighbourhood of Ealing. After a power shortage in the area, a building caught fire. It was then when, what was described as a "man shaped, footless creature" emerged from the flames, leaping, running, and screaming. One woman has told our reporters that the man had "teeth like a wolf, and the face of the devil". Police officers are still trying to get to the bottom of this; neither the power shortage nor the fire have still been explained. A spokesperson from Scotland Yard has stated that the "so called monster" might be a wounded person, escaping the fire.

TRAGEDY IN TOOLEY STREET
The police has found the bodies of three TFL workers in the construction site at Tooley Street. One of their colleagues raised the alarms last week, when the three workers didn't attend their shifts. The bodies of the men have been found in a deep hole, uncovered by the refurbishment works that are taking place in the area. According to the Police, the bodies were horribly mutilated, which has led to the wildest speculations. The names of the three workers are being kept anonymous, following the wishes of their families.

HOROSCOPE
MARCH 8 - PISCES
You are used to making sacrifices, to prioritising the happiness of others before yours. Even though that is a noble attitude, there are times in life where the only healthy alternative is to embrace your own selfishness and allow yourself some enjoyment. Reserve one hour per day to do something you really like. Treat yourself! Your colour for this month is blue.
Echoes from the past ring back into London. Their intensity increases until they are deafening. What once was a faded memory of a glorious time, now becomes a shocking reality. The consequences of actions taken decades ago ripple into the present, altering the lives of everybody in the City. Unguided and blind, Kindred wander around, trying to make profit out of the reigning chaos.

The appearance of four mysterious figures turned the city upside down. Mistrust and jealousy became the official currency of London. Serpents and fiends rise to power, misdirecting the blaming eyes of the Camarilla towards imaginary enemies. Only those with clear vision and the ability to trust each other strive, while the rest run towards a shallow grave.

continues from here

Tristan sat in the big chair closest to the door, on leg over the armrest and waited for the girls to come. At least he hears steps on the stairs. Trying to give a calm demeanor, to be jumpy and all upset wouldn't help the situation downstairs.

He was worried about Lynx, not his taste to let his playmate downstairs with the Ventrue, but in the end, he wasn't his father and the Irish sure was able to handle the thing.

The young Gangrel had followed Tris upstairs and was sitting in a chair as well. Her left leg was bouncing up and down om her toes in a nervous way. Suddenly she jumped up and started pacing back and forth. Her face was full of worry. Eventually she threw her hands up in the air and growled.

"I screwed up! How did the human get in? Lynx is going to be mad with me."

The Irish new addition to the Gangrel tribe had earned her respect through his Sire and so Leslie felt bad for the situation she had unwillingly had created. It was a good thing the human thought they were some sex club but still there is enough reason to worry. She wondered what would happen now.

"Can someone explain what has been going on this evening?"

Reggie came meekly into the room. She was dressed the same way as she was downstairs, but it was like a different woman was wearing the clothes now. Quiet, demure... nothing like the vivacious bar-wench from moments before.

She kept her eyes downcast and stood in the presence of the kindred, quietly off to the side against the wall.

Reggie did glance up when Leslie asked her question, but held off speaking to give Tristan the chance to answer the Gangrel-woman.

Tristans gaze followed Leslie pacing back and forth first, then he looked over to Reggie as she finally joined. For a moment the Brujah blinked confused about her change of demeanor. Then he realized, she might be a Ghoul, not a Kindred.

Relax Leslie, jumping and pacing wont help Lynx a bit...

His bariton voice kept calm expression, unless he was still listening for noises from downstairs. Then Tristan gave Reggie a smile and asked her with a friendly gesture.

Please Miss Reggie, sit with us. I guess you can explain the situation much better than I can.

Since he sat at a table with Fidel, he only had a faint idea, what happened exactly. And to say, if Lynx would be upset or not, he just didn't know the Irish long enough. The only Tristan could say fore sure, the golden haired man had some temper, though this wasn't quite helpful now.

Just next time maybe be more careful what you say when there are people you don't know... you never know.

Speaking to Leslie again. Could it be, he said this again? Seemed to become his standard sentence here in London.

Relax? Re-fucking-lax? How could she? Such things were not supposed to happen. Humans needed to stay out and needed to stay safe so they wouldn't discover the secrets of the shadows.

"I don't need to be careful! We are in a Masquerade free area. He shouldn't have been there!" she hissed at Tris in German before she sat down again and tried to remain calm.

With a sigh she looked up at Reggie. "Yes please, sit down and tell us what happened this night and how this human got in."

Leslie tried to sound calmer towards the ghoul as she didn't want to scare her. This was not her fault and so Reggie should feel at ease and comfortable instead of so timid like a shy little mouse. This night should hopefully teach them a lesson and maybe the security needed to change at the club or something else that would keep the regular cattle out of this place so no one would get hurt or killed.

Reggie spoke meekly, with her face tilted towards the floor "Thank you sir, madam." Reggie made her way to the closest chair and sat down demurely.

Since stepping in the room, she had not made eye contact with either of the kindred.

Reggie cleared her throat to answer questions put to her "It was a typical night. All was well." She put a hand on her soft throat. "It seems that the man... Micheal... was looking for someone, he had an address on a piece of paper and... by chance... he wandered in."

The fresh faced ghoul rested her hands on her lap. "He was told it was a private club, but it was decided to let the man have something to drink before sending him on his way, to try and prevent suspicion."

Reggie bit her lower lip before speaking reluctantly "before we got him out of the club, he learned more then he should have."

Eyes still downcast she finished her tale "I believe that you know the rest. Then we came up here. Micheal's fate is... unknown."

At this, the young ghoul's voice wavered. Oh please, I hope they don't kill him she thought. How unlucky to walk into a den of Vampires on account of a wrong address.

Tristan frowned a little, when Leslie hissed at him like that, but then he listened to miss Reggie. Fuck, what are they all doing with their Ghouls, they all behave like beaten dogs...

He decided Peter would never meet Kindred here, if it was possible to prevent. He wanted his Ghoul behave like a human being, not like a... thing...

Thank you miss Reggie.

The Brujah gave her a warm smile and his voice was mellow. Trying to keep the situation as calm as possible.

Would be interesting where the man got this paper that lead him here. Maybe it was on purpose to cause trouble? I mean, not by the man but by someone else.

Then his senses focussed back towards the stairs. Nothing wrong to hear, so far.

I really hope, they will not need to kill him...

With much interest she listened when Reggie spoke. The woman seemed a completely different person. Earlier downstairs she was more open and now she was like a little lamb ready for the butcher's bench. Slaughter was far away from them so it was very odd for Leslie to see the ghoul like this.

"It is okay. There's no need to worry. I'm sure Lynx will make sure nothing will happen with the human."

The Flemish girl realised that the way she pronounced the word human sounded rather denigrating.

The frown from Tristan earlier flashed through her mind. He would probably dislike her tone now as well but this night had given her quite the shock.

"Let's stay positive. He'll walk out of here just as the way he walked in here."

The words were more to comfort herself than the others. By accident? That was so very odd. In unlife it was sometimes hard to believe in coincidence especially when something seemed too strange.

Reggie sat, looking like a rather dainty slip of a girl, somewhat in contrast to her wardrobe.

She watched the two kindred with doe-eyes and seemed perfectly content to shrink into her chair and become invisible.

Tristan looked over to Leslie when she spoke, obviously comforting herself with her words.

"He'll walk out of here just as the way he walked in here."

A unusual mirthless smile flickered on the Brujahs lips. Damn, girl, you know better, no Mortal walks out like he walked in, finding a bunch of Kindred...

Another moment his gaze lingered on Reggie but he didn't say anything anymore. He tried to break her apathy with friendly words but it seemed she was just another broken string.

Waiting, listening. Hopefully Lynx would come up the stairs to tell them, things were solved, he had no intent to stay here all night.
