The Kindred Chronicle
Key Figures
THE MONSTER OF EALING
Last night, several people reported the sighting of a "screaming red monster" in a quiet neighbourhood of Ealing. After a power shortage in the area, a building caught fire. It was then when, what was described as a "man shaped, footless creature" emerged from the flames, leaping, running, and screaming. One woman has told our reporters that the man had "teeth like a wolf, and the face of the devil". Police officers are still trying to get to the bottom of this; neither the power shortage nor the fire have still been explained. A spokesperson from Scotland Yard has stated that the "so called monster" might be a wounded person, escaping the fire.

TRAGEDY IN TOOLEY STREET
The police has found the bodies of three TFL workers in the construction site at Tooley Street. One of their colleagues raised the alarms last week, when the three workers didn't attend their shifts. The bodies of the men have been found in a deep hole, uncovered by the refurbishment works that are taking place in the area. According to the Police, the bodies were horribly mutilated, which has led to the wildest speculations. The names of the three workers are being kept anonymous, following the wishes of their families.

HOROSCOPE
MARCH 8 - PISCES
You are used to making sacrifices, to prioritising the happiness of others before yours. Even though that is a noble attitude, there are times in life where the only healthy alternative is to embrace your own selfishness and allow yourself some enjoyment. Reserve one hour per day to do something you really like. Treat yourself! Your colour for this month is blue.
Echoes from the past ring back into London. Their intensity increases until they are deafening. What once was a faded memory of a glorious time, now becomes a shocking reality. The consequences of actions taken decades ago ripple into the present, altering the lives of everybody in the City. Unguided and blind, Kindred wander around, trying to make profit out of the reigning chaos.

The appearance of four mysterious figures turned the city upside down. Mistrust and jealousy became the official currency of London. Serpents and fiends rise to power, misdirecting the blaming eyes of the Camarilla towards imaginary enemies. Only those with clear vision and the ability to trust each other strive, while the rest run towards a shallow grave.

George nodded to that, not knowing what to say but she was right, there still was a lot to learn.

When he realised she somehow couldn't bring herself to hit him, he came to the conclusion that the attempt to teach her himself had not been one of his best ideas...

"Yes, it is. Besides there seems to be another problem, right ?"

With a sigh he went to one of the rusty metal boxes and sat down before looking at her and speaking.

"I guess I should have listened better to all the people warning me not to try teaching hand to hand combat to people I couldn't stand being hurt, you know ? Perhaps this is a bad idea and I should assign someone else toteach you these things. What do you think ?"

Roisin looked at him in surprise when he sat down and seemed doubtful but she understood because both of them seemed to have a difficult time to do what they needed to do. It was hard to hurt someone you cared for even when you weren't trying to actually hurt that person and trying to practice.

"Let's look at it this way... we at least know this now and we can take this in account next time we want to try something like this."

The ghoul grabbed her stuff and looked at George with a kind smile. Come. Let's go. It is getting late and I am getting tired. We can go home and talk further there."

It was uncomfortable to see George sad after he had tried so hard. It was now her job to cheer him up again and so she decided to leave. "Are you coming?" she asked when standing by him and waiting for him to get up and come with her. "Or do we need to clean all this up first?" If so she would help him with that first before going home with him.

George nodded. She was right, but he still wondered why he hadn't taken that into consideration.

"True, though perhaps I should have taken that into consideration before..."

Again he nodded, though he didn't stand up yet, as if he had to force himself to and it would take some time to do so.

"Alright, no need to be here longer than necessary. A warm place sure has its merits."

Standing up he went to the table, taking the knives and putting them in his belt before putting the bats and the rifle into a golf bag. Then he walked towards her. On the topic of cleaning up he shook his head.

"All taken care of. I've arranged for the other things to be removed soon, but now we should go..."

With a smile he took her hand if she allowed it and went towards the door.

"Do you have a car here or shall I call one ?"

The Irish ghoul watched how quickly it was all cleaned up and she was happy that the rest would be done by others. "No, I didn't. I walked."

While walking outside the cold wind hit her face and she blinked a few times. The place was rather eerie. Not that she hadn't seen places like this before. A lot of the deals that happened were at such abandoned placed and dirty garages. Every now and then it happened in a restaurant or pub to trade what was gathered. It was always something else. At times even just getting in a car, having a talk, getting the money and being dropped off somewhere. It wasn't so unusual to her anymore but she started to wonder whether it had been the smartest thing to do. Getting in this lifestyle had been the only way to survive back then. Now it was more something for the thrill but it was getting dangerous. Times were changing and jobs were getting more difficult every day.

The human looked up at the sky and sighed. "I'm going to walk home alone. I need to stop by... something..." she left the word hanging in the air and removed her hand from George's after giving his cheek a kiss. "It's okay, don't worry though. Just something I forgot to do." It was painful to lie to George but she didn't want him to worry at all. She merely wanted to go sneak into the park where she had been a lot with Sean and sit by the pond while the water reflected the moon. Sometimes her mind needed a trip to memory lane to stay somewhat sane.

And with that she waved at him and ran off in the darkness. It was obvious she was a fast and trained girl in free-running. With her small frame she needed to be quick and agile especially when she needed to get away from something. Probably before George even realised it she was gone and had left him in the dark night on his own. Little did he know she was having a hard time leaving him behind but something else was calling for her. An old yearning that needed to be sedated temporarily.
