George didn't answer at first but thought a while on how to say it before speaking. "It's difficult in fact. Theoretically they can be trusted but most of the more paranoid or snobbish people don't trust them further as they can throw them because they could be spies or something... Or just because they changed sects and weren't always part of the Cam, you know ? Just like back in school... Lot of the behaviour in this world can be explained with human behaviour, though the reasons might be different..." With a sigh he continued with the other topic at hand. Of course the duty she officially had was hard and the best course seemed cowardly but there still was an alternative, though she might not like that as well... "The problem is that alone a Ghoul hasn't got high chances of overwhelming one of us, you know ? Though if you'd be willing to risk it, I'd put you together with Barney and Jane next time you're on duty, as together your chance is better..." |

School? She never finished school. The little Roisin had more important priorities back then such as surviving and finding food and money to get through another day and cold night. The concept of school was lost on her. All she had learned was from the streets. Roisin watched George and nodded. "I understand I think. These things aren't easy. It is politics and about keeping that Masquerade to maintain order and survival for both Kindred and Kine." This was a bit of a moment where she wanted to let him know that she had understood his previous lessons and all he had told her. His proposal about being with the others when on duty made her frown. She liked being close to him and being around him to see what was going on, who was around. "They are always around and I rather like being near you. Gives me more to learn from and easier to understand what you do." All it took was to grow into this position of duty a bit more. She had just been startled by how this evening went down. |

George nodded with a sigh. Exactly this was what made things complicated at times: Plots and politics... "Yes, that's basically the point though the whole lot of backstabbing politicians doing their plots and cabals is making it a whole lot more complicated, you know ? Especially if the interests of Elders get involved, but that is perhaps too much for now..." Internally scratching his head he tried to find out what exactly she wanted to say with that. Did she mean she was uncomfortable with Barney and Jane nearby ? "I know it's difficult but I like to keep them around when things might get difficult, as that gives us a bit of a competitive edge, but I think I know what you mean... Would it sound good if I kept them a bit further away next time ?" He hoped it would be the right thing to do, though he was conflicted, as he couldn't do things like that without Barney and Jane nearby in case he'd need help to defuse a situation... |

Roisin wasn't sure she wanted to know about the Elders and the political backstabbing. Sometimes it was better not to know so she was able to concentrate on her tasks better. Besides that were all his worries. Politics and what not had never interested her. Not even when she was human so why woule she care for it now? Her blue eyes reflected in the window she was staring out. Then her head snapped back to him and again she frowned? What did he mean? Competitive edge? She wasn't competitive about them. Well not really. She was perhaps jealous about the fact they had more knowledge than her. Did he not understand? Did he not know how she felt? What she needed to be as ghoul to him? "No. That is not what I mean. I don't know them. I do know you. I am committed and bonded to you, not them. They are needed. They are loyal to you. So am I but I rather not leave your side." Did he now understand that it was about the fact she felt the urge to be by his side during these things? That was why he had ghouled her, or not? To her it was a rather awkward moment she had to explain it to him. |

George scratched his head and it was obvious that he tried to understand what exactly she meant with her words. If Barney and Jane weren't the problem then what the hell was ? Then after a long while the penny seemed to drop and that could be seen. "I guess I understand it now... Sorry, sometimes it takes a bit for me to understand such difficult things..." |

Roisin laughed and shook her head. "Ghoul and a woman rolled in one. Women are already a mystery so the fact this is difficult is no problem George." she smiled and noticed they were nearly home. The Irish girl stretched and yawned while staring out the window. This night was a reminder of how dangerous these creatures were and how weird the politics were. Once the car stopped Roisin got out and sighed. "Better to call it a night. Do you stay here or are you going to your home?" she asked with the door still open and looking in the car to George. |

Scratching his head George sighed. "Sometimes it's annoying how slow I can be with things like that..." He thought, apparently trying to figure out what would be the best thing to do after this less-than-ideal-meeting. Finally he smiled a bit and spoke. "It might be best for me to stay if you want... Though I won't be offended, if you prefer to be alone after this mess you've witnessed..." |

Roisin nodded. "Come along then." George knew where to park and would soon be settled into the guest room in the basement area. There he could sleep safely during the day. And while her Domitor found rest the Irish ghoul walked around the house mindlessly and worrying about what else would come on her path. When the sun started to appear at the horizon she sat by the window of her old bedroom when she had been unaware of what vampires were or even existed. It was lovely feeling the rays on her face and illuminating her skin. It was unbelievable so much had changed. Her blond curls decorated her face and she sighed deeply. She should sleep as well. The day was already here and it had been a long night. Rest had returned to the world now that the nightly monsters were asleep. A shudder ran down her spine as she realised that not everyone might be as lucky as herself with the freedom she had. Though sometimes she wondered how long she would be able to keep doing this. Being a ghoul had not effected her for that long but with everything that had happened in the past years she felt her mind was older than her body. Hopefully she didn't start to loath the night she decided to start living again like a normal human being. Although ever since becoming ghoul there wasn't much normal about living anymore. Soon the ghoul head into her bed as well after acquiring the proper clothing for it. This day she would sleep in the house. Not the vampire area of the house. She wanted to be regular. Or as regular as could be. She even let the window open and the sun and the wind into the bedroom so life was still around her and close to her. |
