Opening this thread to discuss miniquest related issues, and to make any humorous remark about your adored pack mates. We will also discuss stuff related to the pack's good health and composition here. We'll start moving on as soon as we have a working rooster. So far, we have an interesting proliferation of Catharis. Enjoy! |

It is awesome to see such a sudden rain of great apps. Some of the stories you guys are creating make me very happy. I will get to work on them as soon as possible. So far, all I can say is: I LOVE Clover's use of the [table] BBCode. I am definitely stealing that from now on. Creative and nice. |

I fully trust you, poWolfgang. I've read a lot of Wolfgang/Ana posts and they are thoroughly enjoyable to read- you are an excellent writer and role player. (Your post in Davvad's Writing Discussion thread has also inspired me more than you would know!) With that said, I'm curious about Bratovich. He doesn't seem affiliated with the pack. He doesn't seem to HAVE a pack after his last one mysteriously bit the dust. This isn't a minor thing in the Sabbat. Not having a pack is a major thing, but being the sole survivor of your former pack is even more colossal. Unless Bratovich had close ties with some other pack, he would have probably been sentenced to Final Death on suspicion of desertion. Another thing: it's not the Cardinal's job to assign stray failures to a pack. How would a Cardinal know about Bratovich? Why would he act with so much respect towards Bratovich, to the point of actually sending an emissary to him? This isn't the Camarilla. His history makes him seem very special for no apparent reason. |

Hey everybody, since I'm looking into abbothood I was wondering if anyone was bringing anything cumbersome to the haven, I have some ideas about location an the like, but was hoping if anyone was bringing ghouls, cars RPGs or big things I would set aside a special place in the haven description for it :). Rather than bog down the thread, when graham accepts your character, just pm me any big objects you would expect to come to London with! Grath would vote for Grath in the Grath for Abbot campaign! |

@ Clover... I fully trust you, poWolfgang. I've read a lot of Wolfgang/Ana posts and they are thoroughly enjoyable to read- you are an excellent writer and role player. (Your post in Davvad's Writing Discussion thread has also inspired me more than you would know!) Thank you. Glad you enjoy that (I also have Rui as a character). And happy that you were inspired by that - it was really just my little two cents on writing. ![]() With that said, I'm curious about Bratovich. When I wrote this little story, I left a lot out - to be discovered in RP. I did mention a second pack in his little sheet. I never mentioned where the interrogation was taking place - in fact it was where the Cardinal is. So no, he didn't send anyone to where my Neonate would have been previously, as that would have made no sense. (Another thing, while I'm at it (as general info), the children that he's 'afraid' of are young ones, between the age of 2-4 yo. Again, there is a reason for that. ;)) Edited by Oliver, Friday, 13. Okay, this is lovely and great. We've got some great apps here, and that is awesome. However, I feel I need to address certain issues before they get too big or dramatic to handle: - The reference manuals used to make this Sabbat Miniquest are the Player's Guide to the Sabbat, published in 1992, and the Storyteller's Handbook to the Sabbat, published in 1993. Whenever we open the Sabbat in a big scale, we will make use of much more sources, and be more open about many things. Paths, Clans, age, etc... this is a closed box of a Miniquest, where limitations are a necessity. I say this because, surprisingly, I've already received strange comments from players -both involved and not involved in this Miniquest-, regarding how something is lore friendly and something is not lore friendly. I've chosen the old reference manuals for a reason, and that reason has to do with simplicity. We are in the building blocks of this concept. White Wolf published several things after these two manuals; most of them contradicted what they had already published, or what was being published at the same time. That is what White Wolf did all the time. They reviewed, and rehashed concepts over and over again, and twisted them into the impossible. This means that, in VtM -and particularly when playing Sabbat-, each group of players plays it in a different way. I've been playing this sort of game since the first VtM was published, and I fell in love with some of the Sabbat concepts when these manuals came out. Since then, I've played dozens of different kinds of Sabbat (and non Sabbat) games, even some chronicle centred around the much hated Black Hand. It's rare to find a group of players that get together for the first time that don't bump heads over some concept or some idea. 99% of those headbumps come from the fact that the new group plays things in a different way. Please, before pulling off the pitchforks and the torches, and before starting any witch hunt against the horrible lore killer, stop and open your eyes and ears. Be patient. Trust. Give people a chance or two (or 120, as I generally do). I've received some strong comments about things that are being proposed here. That amazes me. I sincerely think you guys have done a very cool job and, although I have not had the chance to be thorough and make a good crit of each app, I don't think any of these characters deserves complaints or mistreat. Are they anti lore? Well, that depends on which book you use to base your stuff. As a rule of thumb, house rules go first, official reference manual goes second, and other manuals go afterwards. And even before those, mod decision trumps them all. Now, for the specific comments (no crits on apps!): @Iris: Don't worry about finding a common haven; that's already been taken care of. It's... part of the surprise. I lived for two years in Hackney when I first came to London, and I've been visiting the area for the last decade. I know plenty of amazing spots that would make for an incredible haven. In fact, today I walked past three places that made me smile and fantasize crazy stuff. Whoever gets to be the Abbot will have to work with me in the definition and inner construction of the haven, but the specific spot has already been chose. We'll move on to giving people positions of responsibility soon enough. @Clover: Although I like people caring about how things are played, that sort of comment is better to be made in private, to me. We are all creative types and, even though we always boast of our fantastic thick skin, it is better to avoid public criticism. I am sure Wolfie is taking your words to heart, and that they are not hurt or even offended... but we need to be extra caring with our fellow players; putting an app forward like this is a beautiful exercise of literary exhibitionism and, as such, deserves care and respect. I know your intentions are good, though. Don't be afraid of PMing me with this sort of thing... after all, apps have not been approved yet. @All of you: I think I need to remind you of how the Path system is built here: You need to order the virtues and sins from the most important to the least important. That allows you to customize the morality of your character. Please, do it as part of your app process; it is not enough to "leave it until we get started". @All of you (2): Make sure you've read the introduction thread thoroughly; I don't want to have to tell people that this thing or that thing are not allowed afterwards. Try to conceptualize your characters in a pack oriented way. @All of you (3): It would be a wise idea to think about a justification for being recruited as part of a new pack. If you need a bit of brainstorm, I'm here to help. @Leo: That is just fascinating. It actually makes sense; when you have to be more concise and short in your writing, it all becomes a thing of precision; ranting around is not an option anymore. Nice observation, indeed! Also: I see you are going for a Spanish character... humm... I hope not to find a festival of bullfighters and flamenco dancers in there... (Kidding!) We have 4 Cathari apps right now, and plenty of North American ones too. I'd be delighted if future apps explored different options of this game, and of this wonderful planet. Cheers! |

You are very right, I ended up appearing overly critical. I apologize; I 'spoke' out of turn. My comment was spurred by intrigue more so than anything else, yet I did a poor job of expressing myself. I was wondering if Ian was written this way for a reason: to create a sense of unease in the other packmates (who, I'd imagine, would at least know [or maybe not?] that he is a sole pack survivor/elected by the Cardinal). That would lead to very interesting interactions! I realize, though, that I typed too candidly. I didn't pm the staff since I didn't want to proverbially go behind his back, and I was sure he could extirpate my queries/worries (which he did). Again, I apologize! Like Anna, if Bambi is accepted, I look forward to rping with each one of you guys. ![]() |

@ Graham: <3 @ Clover: Don't worry about it All good. And yeah, it was done on purpose - I like to keep as much from the readers as I can, as a general rule (and since this sheet can be mini, well I took advantage of it). So no, no one will know where he comes from, except the Cardinal, if he asks Ian. ^.^@ everyone: And btw, his dog is not as big as on the picture (about great dane size). @ everyone (2): Ian won't be scared of the 10yo +. Just a bit... distant, ya know. Not quite comfy at first : ) @ Leo: I agree that it's normal to find it a bit hard when writing something shorter sometimes, I was never able to do a proper summary of anything in school... and still now haha!) - and I'm sure that your character will be great, as usual. @ everyone (3): Can't wait to get that on its way as well (lots to read still on the Sabbat O.O, but I'll do my best!) |

I was also a big dingus and thought that we were already a pack, not that we were forming a new pack from scratch! My bad. Again. In other news, I can't wait to make your characters listen to all these songs I'm gathering. ![]() Don't worry, it's not just metal and rapcore. There's some industrial/experimental rock thrown in there. ![]() Edit: Actually, if anyone has experience with the above genres, drop me a pm. I'm more into shoegaze and indie rock, so I'm not that experienced. Sound pollution... thy name shall be Bambi.

Heya! I've been a bit AFK for a while; sorry about that. Let's move this thing along. Most of the apps have been worked enough, and they are ready to go. I am not giving you guys discipline dots just yet. The edits most of you have done are spot on, and I love you all for that. Unless I tell you otherwise, you can consider your character approved. I need one small thing from you all, yet: I need to know if your character has actually ever diablerized another character or not. Some apps make it quite clear, some don't. Just declare it here, and we can move on. There are still slots for this miniquest (the standard limit is 8 but, due to the nature of this concept, there is no real limit). Unless people make a run for it and present fantastic apps before this gets started, any new potential character will have to join in with the pack already rolling. If you are pondering if you should submit an app here, by all means, do it! Regarding the ever important political side: I have three candidates for three positions. It is neat and cool. My conflict oriented mentality dislikes that a lot, but it is all up to you; I won't force you guys to compete just yet. This are the proposed political positions in the pack: Ductus: Black Dowd. Priest: Bambi. Abbot: Garth. If you guys feel comfortable with that, we can move along. However, I will not complain -indeed, I'll be quite happy!- if anybody sweeps in, reclaiming any of these three positions. Just stop for a minute, and try to consider how these three magnificent examples of Sabbat greatness would perform their duties, and do a bit of soul searching: would yo do it better? Do you think there is any character better equipped than them for those roles? Cheers! |

If you ask her you'd get a rather foggy report, but Alice has most likely diablerized some vampire. She has no mercy if one is not of her "family". Actually she would have diablerized more people, expcet that most are bigger than her and won't let her play. |

Grath is happy to be an abbot. Grath will support everyone and make sure your pillows are fluffy when you come back. The question of if Grath has eaten the souls of other vampires might be obvious, but worth restating here. Grath remembers every step Grath has taken closer to Grath's savior Caine. Grath wants more. Grath may not join in with Bambi's genital mutilation ceremonies, a bit uncouth to Grath, but other ceremonies Grath would attend! |

Absolutely. Sucked that soul out but good. An experience to keep the spirit warm and eager on those dreary nights. It will be an honor navigating you fine gents through the hell of Hackney and the brimstone of Camden, even though it''ll be like herding cats. It'll be a whole different ballgame than you're used to. Good that there are no height restrictions or we have had to leave a few of you ashore. No psych evaluation either, you might put the fear of God in them doctors otherwise. None of that discriminatin' business. No 4-F's here. Sure am hoping we get orders soon and move out. |

Most likely, Bambi never had the opportunity to commit diablerie. She would have definitely participated in all of the War Parties, but since her former pack disbanded roughly 8-9 years after her Embrace, I'd assume that they weren't too successful. Her match against the other surviving cub wasn't Monomacy, since neither of them were official Sabbat at that point, so her victim probably got diablerized by someone else as an "offering". She has no problem with the act itself and would be eager to experience it for herself, as long as it's not against loyal, 'upstanding' Sabbat that follow the Demiurge like the good little sinful 'Aeons' that they should be. Please feel free to contest the Priest position, if you'd like. Bambi can become a bit obsessed when it comes to the pack, since she doesn't want to lose them again. The pack's health and functionality is a sensitive issue with a character that hasn't been sensitive in all her life and unlife, so she'd be prone to ritual extremes to ensure that there are no traitors or blabber mouths. |

Great! Bambi's post settles the question, then. We have pack leaders. I'll be contacting you guys with specific info and things you should think about pretty soon; the three leaders need to do some grunt work (not much) before starting this thing. Hail Jonathan "Black" Dowd, Ductus of [UNNAMED PACK]!!! Salute Alexandra "Bambi" Barreau, Priest of [UNNAMED PACK]!! Cheers to Grath, Abbot of [UNNAMED PACK]!
