The day after the primogen meeting and the interviews with the Archon, the telephone in the Clermont Club rang. If there was a number on display, it would quickly be recognized as the Gunnerybury Library landline. |

Jeremy sat in his Office in the Clermont Club and was writing a mail on his laptop. The phone rang. Jeremy had a very modern phone, so he could see on the display who was calling, if the number wasn´t withheld. The Gunnerbury Library...so it might well be the Prince who was calling. "Yes? Jeremy Starling speaking." |

The voice was indeed the one of the Prince. "Seneshal Starling, I hope Im not intruding. I wanted to ask if there is already a Ventrue Primogen. I need to contact the Primogen to discuss some matters of importance." |

„Good evening, Prince Henderson. No, you´re not intruding. Clan Ventrue has got a new Primogen since tonight. I´m about to write an announcement, it will be delivered to you and the Primogen by ghoul courier. It also contains the contact details of Primogen Russo. I can give you the phone number already now, or would you prefer an email address?“ Jeremy wondered what those matters of importance were, but might the Prince tell him? Probably not. Jeremy wasn´t supposed to deal with clan matters any more, at least not directly. But he would ask Russo to tell him what this was about. Jeremy was curious, but supressed his urge to ask the Prince about it. „Does Clan Nosferatu already have a new Primogen, too?“ |

"I'd be willing to accept both, if you are willing to part with the whole package, Seneshal, thank you a lot." Did he alreay have a new Primogen ? That was a good question was it not ? Well, Henderson didn't feel too much like going into big explanbations who Crane was already, so he simply stuck to his pre-agreed history. "I'm still working on that. Lots of people to interview and evaluate. It will take its time, I fear." |

Jeremy gave him the emailaddress and the phone number....and might as well mention that the Clermont Club wasn´t available for presentations after all. „Primogen Russo wouldn´t like it a lot if presentations take place in the Clermont Club...he´d prefer if the club remains just the Ventrue Headquarter. I respect that of course. It might be best anyway to have all presentations at the same place...and the top floor of the Millbank Tower should be big enough to have a room there that will be my office.“ And what about the other sort of offices...? „And what about the Sheriff and Scourge? Might Primogen Harris be willing to become Sheriff? I still think he would be the most suitable person for that. I can´t say anything about Mr. Svoboda though...I have never even met him...have you met him, and do you know to which clan he belongs? The late Prince didn´t mention the clan, strangely enough.“ |

Henderson raised his eyebroiw, but didn't indicate hoiw he felt about that remark. It was a nice tell, of course, but then, it was to be expected. "I see. If I remember correctly theres a lot of space, so fitting it with office space should not be the problem. I will leave the specifics to you. Just send me the list with the cost involved and I will see it covered. I am still considering the candidates foir Sheriff and expect to have a meeting with the Archon about it. As for scourge, I'm of course open for suggestions. Mr Svoboda has so far failed to make any appearance in Blythe House lately. As for his clan, I think Prince Blücher implied he was of the Gangrel clan, if I recall correctly." |

A Gangrel? And the Archon had obviously a lot of say in it who would be accepted for these offices, so there wasn´t more than that for Jeremy to say. „About the Millbank tower...I made inquiries. The top floor is fully occupied, and the venues depend a lot on their location. To make several companies give up that location would get very costly if it succeeds, we would have to pay high compensation. Even if it´s possible to spend very high amounts for that, I think that time would be the problem. To persuade one businessman into something is doable, but to persuade a whole company where it´s not just one person who makes such important decision as moving to a different location...“ Was that really worth the trouble and the expence? „Given enough time it would probably be possible to succeed, but under the given circumstances I can´t guarantee it can be done in time. I would think it might be more reasonable to choose the realistic option. The 27th floor is available, I could rent that immediatly. Or wouldn´t that be good enough, what do you think?“ Probably the Prince saw Jeremy as a failure now. But it was still better to admit beforehand that he had doubts he could achieve this in time. If Henderson insisted to get the top floor, then it would get really hard... |

He had made inquiries already ? That was... fast. And quite unexpected to boot. But very well, it was something to be kept in mind. "Very circumspect, Seneshal Starling. The 27th floor will indeed do. Please proceed with the preparations and notify me as soon as everything has been thoroughly prepared. Would you like to see to some ideas for the different rooms to be established and fittingly equipped ? That would be a great help and I would appreciate some useful inspirations." |

In Jeremy´s opinion it would be a waste of time and resources to try to get the top floor. To pay compensation would surely cost millions...that money really could be put to better use. So Jeremy was relieved that the Prince didn´t want to top floor for any price. „Good, so I will rent the 27th floor for us. I´ll have a look myself at the rooms there. If it´s possible to get a floor plan I will send a copy of it to you, together with suggestions for the rooms.“ |

They discussed the details for a while before Jeremy mentioned that he had sent the floorplans and other details via mail. After Henderson had a look at thoise papers, they debated particularities until the plans seemed somewhat useful. As soon as everything was settled, both prepared to turn to their specific responsibilities and the call was ended. |
