The Times
The Kindred Chronicle
Key Figures
THE MONSTER OF EALING
Last night, several people reported the sighting of a "screaming red monster" in a quiet neighbourhood of Ealing. After a power shortage in the area, a building caught fire. It was then when, what was described as a "man shaped, footless creature" emerged from the flames, leaping, running, and screaming. One woman has told our reporters that the man had "teeth like a wolf, and the face of the devil". Police officers are still trying to get to the bottom of this; neither the power shortage nor the fire have still been explained. A spokesperson from Scotland Yard has stated that the "so called monster" might be a wounded person, escaping the fire.

TRAGEDY IN TOOLEY STREET
The police has found the bodies of three TFL workers in the construction site at Tooley Street. One of their colleagues raised the alarms last week, when the three workers didn't attend their shifts. The bodies of the men have been found in a deep hole, uncovered by the refurbishment works that are taking place in the area. According to the Police, the bodies were horribly mutilated, which has led to the wildest speculations. The names of the three workers are being kept anonymous, following the wishes of their families.

HOROSCOPE
MARCH 8 - PISCES
You are used to making sacrifices, to prioritising the happiness of others before yours. Even though that is a noble attitude, there are times in life where the only healthy alternative is to embrace your own selfishness and allow yourself some enjoyment. Reserve one hour per day to do something you really like. Treat yourself! Your colour for this month is blue.
Echoes from the past ring back into London. Their intensity increases until they are deafening. What once was a faded memory of a glorious time, now becomes a shocking reality. The consequences of actions taken decades ago ripple into the present, altering the lives of everybody in the City. Unguided and blind, Kindred wander around, trying to make profit out of the reigning chaos.

The appearance of four mysterious figures turned the city upside down. Mistrust and jealousy became the official currency of London. Serpents and fiends rise to power, misdirecting the blaming eyes of the Camarilla towards imaginary enemies. Only those with clear vision and the ability to trust each other strive, while the rest run towards a shallow grave.

You find yourself in London on a dreary, foggy night like any other. But what lurks in the shadows is the stuff of fantasies and nightmares, far from mortal reality.

This game uses the cursed and immortal vampiric condition as a backdrop to explore themes of morality, depravity, the human condition, salvation, and personal horror. We are a writing and roleplaying community dedicated to telling complex and engaging stories.

Your fate is your own. Mingle among the ivory-tower elite in the Camarilla, join the fight of the discontented and chaotic Anarch rabble, or set out independently and attempt to survive in London's nighttime underworld. Anything is possible in our World of Darkness.

The following letter will have arrived via Jack's ramshackle Lieutenant Lenny who would stand by to receive a return message.

The letter is surprisingly well written if one were to ignore a small bloodstain in the top right corner.

Dear Mr. Duke of Croydon,

The Jaffna boys would like to formally invite you to Elly's Diner in South Croydon to discuss business affairs. Please feel free to bring a couple of associates of your choosing, or if you would prefer, change the location of the meeting as is your right as Duke. Lenny will be standing by to receive your reply. You have our deepest gratitude.

Sincerely,

If the signature line was anything to go by, it was clear that Jack definitely did not write this letter, and may or may not have struggled to sign his own name.

Marcus looked up at the man standing over him waiting for a reply. He simply held his out to the side and the ghoul, Mr Cornwall, placed a pen in Marcus' hand. Marcus flipped the note over and wrote on the backside of the same latter.

Greetings Mr Jack,

Since you failed to provide a time for this meeting, I'll suggest one. Midnight would work best for me. I'm familiar with Elly's and you can expect me there. That would be fine. I hope to see you there on time. Enjoy your evening, Mr Jack.

Respectfuly,

-- Russo

Marcus gave the note back to the man and he hurried off to deliver it. Marcus smiled and turned to Mr Cornwall.

"They address me as the Duke of Croydon." he smiled. "Rather catchy, don't you think?"

When Lenny had finally returned Bors nearly throttled him, just for the heck of it, but this was important so he composed himself.

"The Duke has replied then, Lenny?" Bors asked as he played with his zippo.

"Yes boss," Lenny replied inching forward in clear fear of the lighter. Lenny held the letter out to Bors. Jack seemed to contemplate the letter for a minute, then backhanded Lenny.

"That's my letter you twit," Jack cracked his knuckles.

"The Duke wrote on the back of it," Lenny was quick to reply.

"Then why in the fuck are you handin it ta me?" Jack asked in a rather dead pan voice, "Hand it to our fine hostess." Jack was actually excited about what the letter might contain.

The hostess took the letter and read the message aloud for the two present, namely because neither of them could read very well.

"Midnight he says. That is clever it is. Bobby outta be right asleep then." Jack thought aloud, "Ah well, I want you to get the boys ready Lenny. Make sure we ain't have no trouble from no Tootin bitches. And when you show up at eleven be damn sure you are wearing something nice. And you fine hostess, make sure your establishment is cleared out and ready to serve at eleven."
