Estimated Prince Henderson, I hope this letter finds you well. I was instructed to contact you at my arrival to London, in order to set my residence here in order. I have to confess that I arrived some months ago, but then I had to leave to tie up some loose ends in my Domain of origin. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's start from the beginning: My name is Dejan Crncevic, Childe of Miroslav, Prince of Belgrade or, as many like calling him, the Nomad Prince. I've travelled with him across Europe, and North America, for the last few decades. I established myself in Paris a while ago, letting my sire immersed in his decades long North American tour. My time in Paris was productive and rich in many senses, but personal circumstances forced me to stop considering that Domain my home. At that point on my vital journey, I was contacted by my sire. Marcel, his old envoy in London, had decided to leave town, scared by recent events. Following Miroslav request, I am coming here, to represent his interests in town. Please, don't take that as any sort of imposition; the Prince of Belgrade's interests are purely social, not political, and he wanted me to give you his most sincere congratulations on your recent appointment. He instructed me to put myself on your service, and to become a genuinely productive member of our society here. Furthermore, I am a strong believer in the importance of the Traditions, and the necessity to keep the Camarilla strong against our many enemies. In fewer words: I am at your service. Some of my talents are quite obvious; I am a visual artist, specialized in video creations. From feature films to video installations, and anything in between. I've done some scouting work for the Camarilla in the past, gathering video evidence of Sabbat presence in different areas. I hope you will find it in you to welcome somebody with my profile to your city. I will call your offices to schedule an appointment as soon as possible. Of course, I am willing to wait as long as necessary, or to adapt my own necessities in order to be granted an audience. Thank you very much for your attention. Kind regards, D.C. |

Dear Mr Crncevic ! I am more than happy to receive your Sire's regards and agree with him that it seems you have the potential to be a more than productive member of the domain. Please make sure that your Primogen is aware and accepting of your presence before asking for an appointment. I am looking forward to meet you and hope your future will be a pleasant one. Yours faithfully, J. Henderson |

Dejan stared at the letter for a few minutes, unable to react. He suddenly felt like Kafka's K, trapped in the middle of a bureaucratic nightmare. How was he supposed to act in this city? How was he supposed to survive? The very basic fabric of this society seemed contradictory, to say the least. Even with all his flaws, Miroslav suddenly looked like an example of sanity and coherence. He decided that the only option he had was writing another letter, risking the rage of the Prince of London, regrettably... Estimated Prince Henderson, Thank you very much for the prompt response to my letter. Such care and dedication filled my night with joy and enthusiasm. There is, however, a small issue with the course of action suggested. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I am reading right now, in the screen of my computer, a public announcement of an Archon clearly demanding my Primogen to resign her position. The announcement was made more than one month ago. Excuse me if I am assuming too much... But I thought the Primogen would have reacted to such a request, and given up her position already. And, if she hasn't, I wouldn't feel too comfortable supporting the claim to power of somebody who is actively defying a direct instruction of an Archon. It's possible that I am misinformed, and that this whole issue was sorted out ages ago, without my knowledge. Maybe the Archon accepted my Primogen's legitimacy, and I was not aware of that. If that's the case, excuse my ignorance in such matters. I just know that it is not wise going against the wishes of my superiors, and this whole situation has placed me in a very awkward spot, as you will understand. I'm sure both my Primogen and the Archon have very good and very reasonable arguments to defend their respective positions; I just don't want to be caught in such crossfire, when the issue clearly doesn't have anything to do with me, personally. Would it be too much to ask to get audience with you? I only want to serve this domain, and establish my residence here. Thanks again for your infinite patience and understanding. Kind regards, D.C. |

Dear Mr Crncevic ! As you had been in the domain more than a month ago, I would take it that you of course took care of the matter of contacting your Primogen right away, as tradition would demand for someone wanting to become a permanent resident. Especially one who is as meticulous about doing his research and knows the traditions and customs as you undoubtedly are. However, if the undoubtedly pressing issues that you had to see to prevented this, that should not be a problem. You are hereby asked to present yourself at 10 pm on [date here] in the offices of Domus Ppoperties in Milbank Tower. Please bring any documentation or letters of recommendation with you. Yours sincerely, J. Henderson |
